Hatred

Malice is accumulated desire — and hatred is not a heat but a cold thing, manufactured at school, in the house and on the screen, and carried without being known

The map

Where hatred works

He teaches that every defect lives in the five centres of the machine, and that the work on it is done by the will. Tap a centre to go to it.

Where hatred works: the centres and the will, with the number of passages in eachIntellectual15 passagesWord5 passagesMotor17 passagesEmotional17 passagesInstinctive4 passagesSexual3 passagesWill16 passages

Each of these centres has an inferior part and a superior part, and he works with both.

Every word here is his — except the passages that hold the scripture he sets his own commentary beside, printed as quotation and named as such. Nothing has been paraphrased, joined or improved. Each passage was cut out of the book it belongs to by reference, and each carries that book and the paragraph it came from, so anything on this page can be found again in the source.

Anger is a heat and it announces itself. Hatred does neither. He treats it as something made — by a teacher who ends up hating certain students, by a mother who insults her children, by a screen, by a jail — and then carried without being noticed: “those who while believing that they do not hate, hate without knowing that they hate.” That is the argument this page is arranged to follow.

And he also said it out loud. 17 of these passages come from The Fifth Gospel — his lectures, taken down from the tape — and they carry the name of the lecture they were spoken in, and where and when he gave it. Where the transcribers marked a place the tape had lost, that passage is not printed at all.

He gives it a name most readers never meet. The third traitor, the one who crucifies the Christ within, is the Demon of Ill-will — and he glosses it in a single line: “that which says I don’t like a particular person.”

How this edition is arranged. By where hatred works: in each of the five centres of his psychology — intellectual, emotional, motor, instinctive and sexual — and in the will and in the word, with what hatred is before them and what is born in its place after — the balm for all of it, set apart at the end so it is not missed. The sexual centre holds three passages, because that is what this work’s passages give it. The grouping is ours, made on 18 September 2026 at the editor’s request; each section opens with one line of his, and every passage keeps the number it has always had, so the numbers no longer run in order down the page.

What hatred is

“Hatred is the antithesis of the most magnificent thing.” The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971

Malice is accumulated desire. Hatred and resentment are frustrated desire.

Endocrinology & Criminology, 1957

The fourth angel Michael does not have a physical body in these times of the end. The sun is the symbol of the Cosmic Christ. Christ is Love. Therefore, the antithesis.of love is hatred. Know ye, O nations, crowds and tongues, that hatred becomes that fire which burns! Therefore, there will be horrible atomic wars! This humanity will be burned with living fire! The great cities will become ashes. Nonetheless, the human beings will blaspheme the name of God, who has power over these plagues; and they repented not, to give him Glory. Hear ye O nations! Know, that the most terrible monster which exists upon the earth is hatred! Since their own hatred will unleash all the wars, who can save this humanity? It is therefore already too late, there will be no relief. This humanity is a failure. Everyone for himself!

The Aquarian Message, 1960

Then, it clearly came to mind; the Mountain of Skulls, bitter Golgotha and the great Kabir Jesus dying on a cross for Love of all sad humanity. Then I exclaimed: Love is the most magnificent thing that exists on earth! Eureka! Eureka! Eureka! Now I have discovered the secret. Hatred is the antithesis of the most magnificent thing.

The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971

He who lies sins against the Father who is Truth, and he who hates, sins against the Son who is Love, and he who fornicates sins against the Holy Spirit who is Chastity.

Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978

The PSYCHOLOGICAL I, realising its own emptiness in misery wants to be big and great and in order to do this looks for more and more money. The greedy suffer and cause suffering. They make life bitter for themselves and make life bitter for others. Greed is the secret cause of hate and of the brutalities of the world. Many times these brutalities are carried out in the name of the law.

The Social Christ

For example, hate is something that is out of place because the natural thing is love. Envy is something that is out of place. Why should we feel envious of the good of others? On the contrary, we should be happy for the good of our fellow human beings. Unfortunately, envy has become the axis of our entire social organism in these times of human degeneration.

The Fifth Gospel 1A The Reason of Being of Objective Justice Lecture-Interview – Mexico City – 1975 also in Anger

We know well that each person carries an aura of light around them. That aura has different colors: the skeptic always has a bright green aura; the devotee has a blue aura; yellow reveals a lot of intellect; dirty green, mistrust or jealousy; gray, sadness; leaden gray, a lot of selfishness; black represents hate; dirty red, lust, fornication; bright scintillating red, anger, etc.

The Fifth Gospel 1B Secret Functionalisms of the Enlightened Mind Conference given to Gnostic students – 1975 also in Anger

There can be no peace while so many egos, so many internal contradictions, exist within the individual. The ‘Myselves’ are the cause of all internal contradictions. The ‘I’ that now swears allegiance to Gnosis is displaced by another ‘I’ which hates Gnosis. The ‘I’ that today swears eternal love to a woman is displaced tomorrow by another which hates her. Men act irresponsibly because they do not yet have a permanent center of consciousness. Man is a being not yet achieved.

Christmas Messages, 1952–66

We need a total revolution. Let us go so far as to put a baby in front of an old man and compare them. Who is more perfect? The child or the old man? As we go through the distinct stages of life we gain much experience that fills us with astuteness, malice and distrust, etc, etc. The child is transformed into the old man: malicious, greedy, astute, perverse and mistrusting: that is evolution.

Christmas Messages, 1952–66

There is no doubt that the Law of Recurrence has worked there too, there is no doubt that in a past existence, by Law of Recurrence, the same case occurred: we lent to that same man a certain amount of money and he did not repay it. And in the one before, the same case occurred, and in the one before that, the same, and the same thing has always happened; because of that we have fabricated an “I” of hatred against that gentleman.

The Fifth Gospel 1A Intelligent Assimilation of Impressions

Priests hate him; that is to say, they do not comprehend him, they want the Lord of Perfections to exclusively live in time in accordance with their unbreakable dogmas. The elders, that is to say, the dwellers on this earth, the good householders, the judicious people, the people with experience, abhor the Logos, the Red Christ, the Christ of the Great Rebellion, because he goes out of the world, out of their habits and antiquated, reactionary customs petrified in many yesterdays. The scribes of the temple, the rogues of intellect, abhor the Intimate Christ because he is the antithesis of the Antichrist, he is a declared enemy of all that compost heap of university theories which are so abundant in the markets of bodies and souls. The three traitors mortally hate the Secret Christ and convey him to death within ourselves and in our own psychological space.

The Great Rebellion, 1975

SUPER-MAN shines in the darkness, but the darkness hates SUPER-MAN. The crowds qualify SUPER-MAN as perverse because of the very same fact that he does not fit within indisputable dogmas or within pious phrases, nor within the upright morals of serious men. People abhor SUPER-MAN and crucify him among criminals because they do not understand him, because they prejudge him looking at him through the psychological lens of what is believed to be holy even if it is evil. SUPER-MAN is like the thunderbolt which falls upon the perverse, or like the brightness of something which is not understood and is afterwards lost in mystery.

The Great Rebellion, 1975

Thus, this is how with these solemn words the life of the Omnicosmic and Most Holy Al Hallaj concluded. Hence, his Venerable Bleeding Blessed Head fell under the edge of the sword as a sanguinary holocaust on the Altar of the supreme sacrifice for humanity. The poisonous hatred of his executioners was so great that they did not even authorize his cadaver to be shrouded or have a burial service.

The Solar Bodies, 1968

There are few initiates who comprehend what the attributes of the great initiates are. Gnostic apostles do not lack a Judas who betrays them, a Peter who denies them, a Thomas who mortifies them with his doubts and a Magdalene who cries for them. The great initiates are so simple and that is why people underestimate and despise them. Everyone would like them (the initiates) to live in daily life in accordance with the established customs of erroneous criteria. Judicious men are mistaken when they judge the daily lives of the great initiates; their extreme simplicity is not comprehended by judicious men. Gnostic apostles should know how to be silent, how to abstain and how to die.

The Greater Mysteries, 1956

We do not attack anyone, we do not hate anyone, we do not combat anyone.

The Aquarian Message, 1960

The intellectual mammal, mistakenly called human being, hates Pistis Sophia.

Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983

The hatred of the antichrist towards Sophia is shown through all of these false miracles and marvels.

Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983

The ego, the Self-willed hates Pistis Sophia. Thus, by submerging her into Chaos and into desperation the Self-willed defeats her.

Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983

The Pharisees hate Christ, thus, they condemn Him each time He comes to the Earth. The Pharisees arose, have arisen and will arise in rebellion against the Lord who comes to teach them.

Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983

The psychic aggregates hate Pistis Sophia in ourselves and within ourselves, here and now.

Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983

The psychic aggregates mortally hate the Divine Mother Kundalini The tenebrous ones violently attack all those who name the Divine Mother Kundalini within the castle of Klingsor, and in all the temples of black magic The Divine Mother Kundalini suffers inexpressibly for Her child.

Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 also in Anger

The Sulphur and the Mercury are the parents of the Philosophical Stone. The red demons of Seth hate peace. They are the ones who fight against the Being without a cause. The psychic aggregates and the Lion of the Law always oppress Pistis Sophia exceedingly.

Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983

The Self-willed ego and the powers of the Darkness mortally hate those who march towards the Thirteenth Aeon.

Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983

Initiates are hated because they sing praises unto the Great Light. Initiates sing praises to the Great Light, although the Darkness hates them. Pistis Sophia is hated because she loves the Great Light.

Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983

Pistis Sophia is treated unjustly and is hated without cause.

Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983

God hears the suffering soul and never despises the prisoners, which means, those who are paying Karma.

Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983

Regarding Gnosis, the Secret Path and the work upon oneself, our own particular temptations are precisely found in those “I’s” who hate Gnosis, who hate the esoteric work. These “I’s” do not ignore that their existence within our psyche is mortally threatened by Gnosis and by this Work.

Treatise of Revolutionary Psychology, 1975

He who has hatred, resentment, jealousy, envy, pride etc., will not attain the elevation to even the second level, called inspired knowledge. When we rise to inspired knowledge we understand and comprehend that the accidental accumulation of objects does not exist. All of the phenomena of nature and all objects are really intimately organically linked to each other. They internally depend upon each other and mutually condition each other. Really, no phenomenon of nature may be integrally understood if we consider it in isolation.

Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978

Violence generates more violence; hatred produces more hatred. Peace cannot be conquered; peace cannot be the result of violence. Peace comes to us only when we dissolve the ego, when we destroy within us all those psychological factors that produce war. If we want peace we must contemplate, we must study, we must see the whole picture and not only a small corner of it.

Fundamental Education, 1970 also in Anger

People want to see in the world the peace of their dreams, their special kind of peace, yet each person has inside oneself the psychological factors that produce war, animosity, enmity and all kinds of problems. In these times of world crisis, everybody who wants to become famous establishes a pro-peace organization, makes propaganda and becomes a paladin for peace. We must not forget that many sly political “foxes” have won the Nobel Peace Prize, even when an entire cemetery exists on their account, and they have in one form or another secretly ordered the assassination of many people when they saw themselves in danger of being overshadowed. There are also many true teachers of humanity who have sacrificed themselves in order to teach all over the world the Doctrine of the “Dissolution of the I”. These teachers know through personal experience that it is only by dissolving the “Mephistopheles” we all carry within, that peace of heart comes to us.

Fundamental Education, 1970

Chaos and anarchy are ruling and will totally rule the world. Unknown diseases are appearing and no one knows how to cure them. The economic crisis is more and more intense. There is total demoralization in humanity: drugs, alcohol, lesbianism, homosexuality, etc., have taken over people. Humanity has lost all interest in solar ideas and has become terribly mechanistic. All sense of dignity has been destroyed. Hatred corrodes the entrails of people; lust, taken to the maximum, has become exorbitant; envy is the current motive behind the action of the entire civilization which agonizes, etc.

The Fifth Gospel 1B Transcendental Exhortation Addressed to the Missionaries

‘And that mystery knoweth why hate hath arisen and why love hath arisen.

Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 also in Anger

‘Arid that mystery knoweth why slander hath arisen and why good report hath arisen. ‘Arid that mystery knoweth why appreciation hath arisen and why disdain of men hath arisen.

Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983

3. I have kept on crying; my throat is gone, my eyes faded, waiting patiently for God. 4. They who hate me without a cause are more than the ‘hairs of my head; mighty are my foes, who violently pursued me. They required of me that which I took not from them. 5. God, thou hast known my foolishness, and my faults are not hid from thee.

Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 also in Anger

4. I was despised in the sight of many and cast out; I have become as lead in their sight. 5. Through thee I hove gotten a power, which helped me; for thou host set lamps on my right and on my left, so that no side of me may be without light.

Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983

“And the counterfeiting spirit becometh the receiver of the soul, being assigned unto it and transferring it according to the chastisement because of the sins which it hath made it commit, and is in great enmity to the soul “And when the soul hath finished the chastisements in the chaos according to the sins which it hath committed, the counterfeiting spirit leadeth it forth out of the chaos, being assigned unto it and transferring it to every region because of the sins which it hath committed; and it leadeth it forth on the way of the rulers of the midst. And when it reacheth them, [the rulers] question it on the mysteries of the destiny; and if it hath not found them, they question their destiny. And those rulers chastise that soul according to the sins of which it is guilty. I will tell you the type of their chastisements at the expansion of the universe.

In the intellectual centre

“True peace will not exist as long as the psychological factors that produce enmity, dissension, problems and wars exist inside the mind.” Fundamental Education, 1970

13. This nuclear centre of the understanding is the guardian of the threshold of the mind. 14. The guardian of the threshold of the mind is similar to the smoke of the flame. 15. The guardian of the threshold of the mind is a terrible demonic creature. It lives by reacting against the exterior world with waves of pleasure and pain, with waves of likes and dislikes, and with waves of hatred, envy, greed, slander, selfishness, etc…

Igneous Rose, 1954

Many esotericists are assaulted by the delirium of grandeur; they seem to perform gigantic things, etc. They fill themselves with malice and distrust. They believe that the whole world is bewitching them. They slander others by accusing them of being black magicians, etc., etc.

Endocrinology & Criminology, 1957

When this type of paranoid clairvoyant reacts with hatred, malice, distrust, etc., he can even, in cold blood, plan an intellectual assassination.

Endocrinology & Criminology, 1957

Nowadays you cannot turn on the television without seeing words full of hatred, gun shots, and perversity. The governments of this planet are not doing anything to work against the propagation of crime. The minds of children and young people are being led by the perpetrators of crime down the criminal path.

Fundamental Education, 1970 also in Anger

Inside the human mind exist the factors that produce war; these factors are hatred, all aspects of violence, selfishness, anger, fear, criminal instincts, militarist ideas disseminated via television, radio, film, etc. Peace propaganda and the Nobel Peace Prize prove to be foolish as long as the psychological factors that produce war still exist inside the human being.

16. Your works of merit will be received with loud guffaws and humanity will reward all of your sacrifices with their deepest despises. 17. You are worthy of compassion, oh Arhat! 18. The cross of your mental body is large and very heavy. 19. Your enemies will be your same spiritual brothers. 20. They will punish you severely and they will mock you, oh Arhat! 21. The spiritualists of all the denominations will qualify you as an evil one, and they will ridicule you, oh Arhat! 22. You will be slandered, mocked and hated by all the world. This is how you will crucify your mind, oh Arhat! 23. Apolonius of Tyana spent his last years enclosed within a prison. Paracelsus was qualified as a friend of gypsies and executioners by all of his “Judahs”. All the pedants of that time hated to death the eminent Theophrastus Bombastus of Hohenheim (Aureola Paracelsus). 24. This great wise man (Paracelsus) gave humanity medical wisdom that will be accepted and comprehended only by the human species of the Aquarian Age. 25. Agrippa, hated by men, wandered from city to city, and all the world distrusted him and qualified him as a sorcerer. 26. All the saints of Jerusalem, all the martyrs of humanity were hated and persecuted. 27. Oh Arhat, the cross of your mental body is heavy! 28. You are now an enigmatic personage my child, and all the spiritualistic brothers qualify you as an evil one, as being intolerant, as tenebrous, simply because they do not comprehend you. You know this. 29. Blessed be those who love us, because they comprehend us; blessed be those who hate us, because they do not comprehend us.

Igneous Rose, 1954

The great intellectuals who knew these two gurus, looked at them with disdain, because these initiates did not talk like parrots, because they were not full of sanctimoniousness, because they were not intellectuals, because they did not go around telling their esoteric affairs.

The Greater Mysteries, 1956

We have spoken of Pistis Sophia, the Eager Soul, so hated by the Antichrist of the false, materialistic science.

Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983

The sceptical Sadducees, enemies of the Eternal One, hate the Christ and Pistis Sophia. The forever hypocritical Pharisees, who by misinterpreting the Scriptures kill the Spirit that vivifies it, those scoundrels of the dead sects, who know nothing about Christic Esoterism, also hate and condemn Pistis Sophia.

Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983

It is foolish to seek peace inside the mistaken confines of our prejudices, beliefs, preconceptions, desires, habits, etc. True peace will not exist as long as the psychological factors that produce enmity, dissension, problems and wars exist inside the mind. Genuine peace comes from true beauty wisely comprehended.

Fundamental Education, 1970

If people were to awaken consciousness; if at school students were educated wisely, leading them to the conscious comprehension of what war and enmity are, another day would dawn, no one would go to war, and the catastrophic waves of the cosmos would then be used differently.

Fundamental Education, 1970

When our mind is filled with hatred, then let us command our mind like this: “Mental body, withdraw this hatred from me. I do not allow you to bear hatred, etc., etc.” The Being is not the mind, the Being is the Being. He is the Intimate and He can control our mind by means of willpower.

“Moreover, we feel antipathy and even hatred towards those who do not sympathize with us.” Treatise of Revolutionary Psychology, 1975

Many people understand each other only through sex and nothing more; this is sexual love. Others have their center of gravity in the emotion, that is, they cultivate merely emotional love. Such emotional love between two people, undoubtedly turns toward hatred or vice versa; it is unstable, it is filled with bitterness, passions and jealousy, etc., therefore, it could not be qualified as judicious love in the complete sense of the word.

The Fifth Gospel 1B The Transvalorization of the Esoteric Work Third Chamber – Mexico City – 1975

A practice

The mechanical antipathy towards another person that we meet for the first time indicates that we do not know how to put ourselves in the place of our fellow men. This indicates that we do not love our fellow men, that we have our consciousness extremely asleep. Do we feel antipathy towards a certain person? Why? Perhaps he drinks? Let us observe him... Are we certain of our virtue? Are we certain of not carrying the “I” of drunkenness within our interior?

Treatise of Revolutionary Psychology, 1975

A practice

Are you an honest and virtuous woman and because of that you do not like a certain woman? Do you feel antipathy towards her? Why? Do you feel sure of yourself? Do you believe that you do not have the “I” of lust within your interior? Do you think that this woman, discredited by her scandals and lasciviousness, is perverse? Are you sure that the lasciviousness and perversity that you see in that woman does not exist within your interior? It would be better to observe yourself intimately, and while in profound meditation you may occupy the place of that woman you despise.

Treatise of Revolutionary Psychology, 1975

A practice

It is necessary to carefully notice when and how much one despises others, perhaps one feels to be superior because one’s academic degree or one’s social position, or because of one’s acquired experience or money, etc.

Treatise of Revolutionary Psychology, 1975

To top off so much infamy, we only sympathize with ourselves, with our much “beloved ego.” Moreover, we feel antipathy and even hatred towards those who do not sympathize with us.

Treatise of Revolutionary Psychology, 1975

The ego despises everyone who hurts its self-esteem. The ego adores its theories and preconceptions. Many times we despise someone without any reason. Why? Simply, because that person personifies some errors which we carry well hidden and we do not like another person to exhibit them. Really, deep within us, we carry the errors which we blame on others. No one is perfect in this world, we are all cut by the same scissors. Each of us is a bad shell within the bosom of the Great Reality.

The Revolution of the Dialectic

People who are apparently very generous drag their fellow men daily into the secret caves of themselves to do with them whatever they please (abuse, mockery, contempt, etc.).

Treatise of Revolutionary Psychology, 1975

Have you heard about mechanical antipathy? That suddenly someone feels antipathy for someone without any reason, and then we say: “This person is not my cup of tea” –very typical phrase that we use–. But why, if we have never seen him before, if he has just been introduced to us now? What happened? Why is this person so unpleasant to us, if we do not even know him? Because we saw his appearance: he is tall, he is short, he is fat, he is thin, he is hawk– nosed or he has a flattened nose, and this is reason enough to say that this person is unpleasant to us? What happened? Simply because we have projected our very own psychological defects on our victim. Possibly, we have seen in that person the most serious defect that we have, and no one likes to see himself like that, so ridiculed. The harsh reality of the facts is that such a person has become the mirror where we see ourselves as we are. If we are alert, if we do not identify with the event, with that person who is so unpleasant to us, if instead of criticizing him, we self-criticize, we self-observe to see what is happening, we will discover that a defect of ours –born yesterday or the day before yesterday or who knows from how long ago, or perhaps in other existences– has been reflected on that person, and that is why he is so unpleasant to us. Behold, that is what mechanical antipathy is: one hundred percent absurd.

The Fifth Gospel 1A The False World of Appearances Third Chamber – Mexico City – 1976

[When] we feel antipathy toward someone, it is clear that this is precisely the crux of the matter, here is precisely the defect that we carry internally, but that we are projecting onto that someone. Why does this or that person cause us antipathy? Why do we see in him this or that defect that bothers us so much? Although it may seem incredible, although we may not admit it, although we may reject it, the truth is that we have this defect within us, and that we are projecting it onto our fellow man.

The Fifth Gospel 1A The Hidden Facets of Our Lunar Psychology Third Chamber – Mexico City – 1976

One has the “I” of self-love within, and if someone displays some of those inner defects, obviously, we do not like that person. So, instead of us making objections against that person, protesting, arguing, we [should] rather explore ourselves to know what is that psychic element which we carry inside us and which causes that antipathy. Certainly, if we discover that element and we dissolve it, the antipathy will cease to exist. But if we, instead of investigating ourselves, we make objections, we protest, we roar, we thunder against that person, we will strengthen the Ego, the “I”; that is indubitable.

The Fifth Gospel 1A The Pendular Conduct of Humanity Third Chamber Mexico City July 13th, 1977

The ungrateful son who abhors his father and forgets about his mother is truly a perverse individual who detests all things divine.

Fundamental Education, 1970

We have written this book with complete clarity; we have unveiled what was veiled. Now, whoever wants to realize himself in depth can do so. Here is the guide; here is the complete teaching. I have already been harassed, humiliated, calumniated and persecuted etc. for teaching the Path of the Perfect Matrimony. That does not matter. At first the treason and calumny hurt a great deal, but now I have become like steel and the treason and calumny no longer hurts. I know only too well that humanity hates the truth and mortally hates the prophets, and so, it is normal that they hate me for having written this book.

The Perfect Matrimony, 1950 (ed. 1966)

The Black Magicians create enmities for persons. The enemies attack induced by the Black Lodge. And if the disciple does not know how to moderate himself or restrain himself or overcome himself, he fails and distances himself from the Path. The enemy is controlled and one dissolves enmities with the following clue The disciple will lie down on his bed. Relax all the muscles of the body. Fall asleep trying to concentrate oneself on the heart of the enemy. Imagine this heart like a Tabernacle that stores infinite love. Mentally deposit in this heart the picture of the disciple himself. A picture filled with love! Then, imagine looking at between the eyebrows of that enemy. Deposit between the two eyebrows, inside the mind of that enemy, the picture, but filled with intense love. In this exercise, it is necessary that the disciple feel a true love for that enemy that hates the disciple. Understand that one does not try to feign love: it is indispensable to be able to feel love for that individual who hates, for the enemy. If, in spite of all of this, this enemy insists on causing harm, then we should work with the maguey THE ELEMENTAL OF THE MAGUEY The student will transport himself to the outskirts of the city or the town where he lives He will search for a maguey in the countryside With a small stick he will draw a circle on the ground, from right to left, around the maguey. The dimensions of the circle will be of about eight spans of the hand around the plant. The maguey will be blessed. And one will beg the “Elemental” of this plant to transport itself to wherever the enemy is found whose action one is trying to counteract and to disintegrate his evil thoughts. Then with a knife one cuts a piece of the leaf of the maguey. This portion will be taken in both hands. And with an imperious will, one will order the “Elemental” of the maguey, supreme obedience. And it will be ordered to immediately transport itself beside the enemy and to stay beside him disintegrating his evil thoughts. At the same time Mantrams will be pronounced.

“Individuals who alone are incapable of committing any crime, but when involved with crowds, in a public demonstration, they stone, strike and insult.” The Fifth Gospel 1A

Not only do people kill with machine guns, shotguns, cannons, pistols and atomic bombs, but people also kill with a look that wounds the heart, a humiliating look, a look full of contempt, a look full of hatred, and people can also kill with an ungrateful action, with an evil action, or with an insult, or a hurtful word.

People have become malicious, suspicious, distrustful, cunning and perverse; nobody believes anybody any more. Every day new conditions are invented: certificates, all kinds of restrictions, documents, credentials, etc, and anyway, none of these serves its purpose any more, those who are crafty mock all this nonsense, they do not pay, they evade the law even if they may be imprisoned.

To publicly confess our crimes, to exhibit them, to place them over the carpet of actuality and not to hide them, signifies, as a fact, to scorn oneself, to scorn one’s ‘I’.

My Return to Tibet, 1969

How happy I felt while advancing through the centre of the temple towards the sacred altar! Certainly, I was marching arrogantly, energetically with a triumphal step. Suddenly, one of those ‘humble peasants of pick and shovel’ was walking by blocking my way. For a moment I tried to keep ahead walking arrogantly, haughtily and with disdain. But, Oh God of mine! An intuitional lightning bolt fulminated me to death, and I then vividly remembered that in a forgone time, in the remote past I had committed the same error while in the presence of this humble peasant. That past error was clearly present within my mind. With horror, terror and fear I remembered the dreadful instant in which with frightening words uttered from the Sacred Altar, amidst lightning bolts, rays and thunder, I was cast out of the temple. The whole of this event of the past revived within my mind in a thousandth of a second. Then repented, I stopped my arrogant and proud march and feeling contrite, regretful and remorseful in my heart, with modesty and submission, I prostrated myself before this peasant. I kissed his feet while addressing him like this: “You are a great Master, a great Sage”, but that creature instead of being satisfied with my words answered: “I do not know anything, I am nobody.” I answered back, “Yes, you are the Boddhisattwa of one of the great Gods who is the governor of many constellations.” My joy was immense when that authentic man blessed me. I felt as if I had been forgiven and joyfully I continued my way towards the Sacred Altar. Then after, I returned into my physical body.

As it was expected, they were looking at him with disgust, and soon they began to vacate the place. Notwithstanding, I answered them: “This is also a man and he deserves to be respected” Then, Beelzebub took the floor and in a profoundly sad tone, he said: “Everybody despises me, the only one who does not despise me is my friend Samael Aun Weor.”

The Revolution of Beelzebub, 1950

Now let us observe a person full of hatred. He is monstrous, abominable, he hates everyone, loves no one, hates all people and makes others hate him; he is perfectly insane, his actions are all crazy, there is no harmony in him.

Teachers end up hating certain students, and pampering or spoiling others. Sometimes teachers severely punish a student whom they hate even though he or she is not a bad student, and pampered students, who really don’t deserve it, are rewarded with magnificent grades.

Fundamental Education, 1970

Schoolteachers should teach students that no honest job deserves contempt. It is foolish to look with disdain at a taxi cab driver, a shop clerk, a peasant, a shoe shiner, etc. All humble labor is beautiful.

In all the countries of America we have gazed upon just about the same tragedy, the village children do not have right to work if they do not achieve the luck of finding money to get a job on the market. Governments do not forgive the sorry fellow of the common people the crime of being poor. Compassion does not exist for the poor. The powerful ones of the land mortally hate the hungry mothers and the poor wretches that labour. The big gentlemen mortally hate the sorry fellow who dares to compete with them.

Let us look at the crowds, let us see them in a public manifestation of hatred: how many of us would never in their life throw a stone at the neighbor’s house, but when caught inside a crowd, we not only throw stones, but insult and even kill in the name of many rallying cries and many things that seem fair to us. Individuals who alone are incapable of committing any crime, but when involved with crowds, in a public demonstration, they stone, strike and insult. Those who would have never uttered a word at home, throw all their defamatory slime against the leaders, or against government figures, or against people whom they hate, etc.

It is not by means of violence as we will be able to finish with the corporations, violence provokes violence, hatred generates bigger hatred, ill will, not surprisingly, generates ill will. The retaliatory spirit would give more force and power to the big corporations because they are protected by the Army. What can then be the method or scientific system that allows us to finish with the corporations? Which is the procedure?

“How is it possible that two who supposedly loved each other now hate each other?” Christmas Messages, 1952–66

If the crafty Don Juan type reflects all his love adventures in the egocentric malignant mirror of his refined fantasy with the abominable intention of looking down on women, of profaning them despicably, of raping and defaming them perversely, by despoiling virgins and in "driving them to sin". It is undoubtedly a special kind of masculine hatred against women.

If the man wants to disintegrate a psychic aggregate, whether it be of hatred, lust, jealousy, etc., he will clamor to the Divine Mother Kundalini imploring her to disintegrate such an aggregate, and his wife will help him with the same supplication, as if the aggregate were hers. The man will also proceed in this manner with the psychic aggregates of the woman, taking them as his own. The totality of the forces of the man and the woman, during the metaphysical copulation, should be directed, whether towards the psychic aggregates of the man, or towards those of the woman. In this manner we will put an end to the ego. This is the key of sexual super-dynamics: the connection of the lingamyoni, without the ejaculation of the entity of the semen, directing the three forces against each psychic aggregate.

“The Demon of the Ill Will is the most terrible of the three.” The Perfect Matrimony, 1950 (ed. 1966)

We do not have the Causal Body, it must be fabricated in the Forge of Cyclops. In its place we have the demon of Ill-will; that which says I don’t like a particular person. These three demons exist in every gospel; with the Buddha it was the Three Furies, the famous Mara. We have to understand that we are demons, and to start from scratch, to be aware of where we are; that we need the Great Destruction of ourselves, the death of the “I”, the de struction of the seeds, and of the lunar bodies. “That which has been born of the Father is in putrefaction”. This means that the Christ is dead, is putrefying, for which reason it is said that each one of us is a living sepulchre. It is said that He is dead because in none of us does He live.

Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978

3: Caiaphas is the Demon of Ill-will. He who does not do the Will of the Father is disobedient. The Will of the Father must be done, here, and in the Internal Worlds. “They who are sleeping must do the Will of the Father”. The Will of the Father is done: If there is right thought. If there is right feeling.

Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978

The encounter with the third guardian takes place in the world of the will. The Demon of the Ill Will is the most terrible of the three. People do their personal will. The Masters of the White Lodge do only the Will of the Father, on Earth as it is in Heaven.

The Masonic brothers well know who the three traitors of Hiram Abiff are: Judas is the demon of desire, who betrayed the Inner Christ from second to second; Pilate is the demon of the mind that is always excusing itself, justifying itself, washing its hands, declaring itself innocent; etc., etc. Caiaphas is the demon of ill will. Each person carries him well within, he who does not know how to do the will of the Father, he who always does what he wants, whatever he feels like doing, without caring in the least about the comandaments of the Blessed One.

Beloved, recall the Seal of Solomon with its two overlapping triangles that join and separate love, no doubt they are truly linked—the two shuttles with which the loom of God is woven and unwoven. The upper triangle symbolizes Kether—the Father who is in Secret; Chokmah—the Son; and Binah—the Holy Spirit of every man. The lower triangle represents the three traitors of Hiram Abiff. Those three traitors are within us. The first traitor is the Demon of Desire. That traitor lives in the astral body. The second traitor is the Demon of the Mind. That traitor lives in the mental body. The third traitor is the Demon of Ill Will. That traitor lives in the body of willpower, the causal body.

Do you feel antipathy towards someone? Do you dislike a certain person? Why? You may say that you know that person... Please observe that person; to know is not the same as to observe! Do not confuse knowing with observing...

Treatise of Revolutionary Psychology, 1975

A practice

For instance, we may feel antipathy towards a person, just because we feel like it and many times for no particular reason. If we observe ourselves in such a moment we will notice the multitude of thoughts that accumulate in our mind. We will also notice the group of voices that speak and scream in a disorderly manner and that say many things within our mind, as well as the unpleasant emotions that surge in our interior and the unpleasant taste that all this leaves in our psyche, etc. Obviously, in such a state we also realize that internally we are badly mistreating the person for whom we feel antipathy towards. But, unquestionably, in order to see all of this, we need attention intentionally directed towards the interior of our own selves. This is not a passive attention.

Treatise of Revolutionary Psychology, 1975

First and foremost, one has to take care of the five cylinders of the organic machine. It may be that we like someone intellectually and on the contrary, we do not like them in the emotional center. Or it may be that we really like someone in the emotional center and in the motor center we find him very terrible. One has to be careful to see which of the mechanical centers reacts badly to this or that person. One has to observe carefully, and if one discovers it, then proceeds to remove the mechanical antipathy, after becoming conscious of it.

The Fifth Gospel 1A The Reason of Being of Objective Justice Lecture-Interview – Mexico City – 1975

Let’s see, for example, on a certain occasion, a gentleman told a psychologist: “Well, I feel antipathy for a certain person” –and he mentioned the name and surname–. The psychologist replied: “Observe him, observe that person.” The questioner replied again: “But why would I want to observe him if I know him?” The psychologist concluded that he did not want to observe; he knew, but did not observe. To know is one thing and to observe is another very different thing: one can know that he has a negative thought, but that does not mean that he is observing it; he knows that he is in a negative state, but he has not observed the negative state.

The Fifth Gospel 1B The Rescue of Our Inner Light

However, if we do not really learn to give up mechanical antipathies, if we are always full of ill will toward our fellow men, with what energies would we then create the body of conscious will, that is, the fourth psychological body?

When a Gnostic, a Gnostic Arhat, tries to meditate, it is to search for tranquility. In those moments he proposes to work upon some inhuman element that he has discovered in himself by means of self-observation. If he discovered anger, he will dedicate himself to comprehending the psychic aggregate of anger in order to totally dissolve it with the help of his Divine Mother Kundalini, whom he will invoke. Perhaps he discovered that he has the psychic aggregate of hatred, then, he will propose to disintegrate such an aggregate so that loves comes forth in its place.

We have to become conscious, absolutely conscious of that center which reacts badly. It may be that we do not like the person in the emotional center, it may be that we do not like them in the motor center, it may be that we do not like them in the intellectual center. We must become aware of that, to see which center is affected. Once we are conscious, we discover the error, and when we discover the error, we proceed to eliminate it. How? Interposing our Consciousness between the impression and the reaction. If the Consciousness takes over the impression, it prevents the reaction from acting mechanically, as always, creating antipathy. After a number of events in which we interpose our Consciousness between the impression and the reaction, the antipathy disappears. We can then simply see in that person the qualities that we had not seen before, we begin to feel sympathy toward that person.

So, when a Gnostic, a Gnostic Arhat submerges into meditation, he seeks tranquility. During those moments, he proposes to work upon some inhuman element that he has discovered in himself through self-observation. Possibly he discovered anger. Well, he will then dedicate himself to comprehend the psychic aggregate of anger, until he turns it into dust with the help of his Divine Mother Kundalini, who he must invoke to help him. Or maybe he discovered that he has the psychic aggregate of hatred. Then he will resolve to disintegrate that aggregate, so that love will arise in its place. As one disintegrates all these inhuman psychic aggregates that we carry within us, the Consciousness will be awakened.

“Criticism provokes an inevitable reaction against its own author.” Introduction to Gnosis

If you want to triumph in life, don’t criticize anyone. Whoever criticizes others is weak, while the one who is critical of himself from moment to moment is a giant. Criticism is useless because it hurts the pride of others and provokes the resistance of the victim who then seeks to justify himself. Criticism provokes an inevitable reaction against its own author. If you truly want to succeed, listen to this advice: do not criticize anyone. The man or woman who knows how to live without criticizing anyone does not provoke resistance or reactions on the part of his fellowman and, consequently, creates an atmosphere of success and progress. On the other hand, he who criticizes others has many enemies. We have to remember that human beings are full of pride and vanity and this pride and vanity, which is inherent in them, produces a reaction (resentment, hate, etc.) that is directed towards the one who criticizes. We can conclude, then, that the one who criticizes others inevitably fails. The one who wants to correct others should best begin by correcting himself. This gives better results and is less dangerous.

Introduction to Gnosis

To insult another person, to hurt his intimate feelings, to humiliate him, is something that is very easy when it is done supposedly to correct him for his own good. This is how irate people think those who while believing that they do not hate, hate without knowing that they hate.

Darkness is not dissolved with blows and with atheism, but rather by bringing the light. Neither is the error gotten rid of by fighting it face to face, but rather by disseminating the truth without having to attack the error. However much the truth advances, that much will the error have to step back. One does not have to resist what is negative, but instead practice the positive unconditionally and teach its advantages through practice. By attacking the error, we will provoke the hatred of those who err.

If you want to be surrounded by good circumstances for the crystallization of your business, then recognize the good qualities of others. Stimulate the good qualities of your fellowmen, do not humiliate anyone, do not despise anyone. It is necessary to encourage each one in his job, office or profession. By means of appreciation and encouragement we can awaken enthusiasm in all those people that interrelate with us. Learn how to wisely praise your fellowmen without falling into flattery. People feel reassured with the food of esteem. Be gentlemanly; do not criticize anyone. In this way you will form the favorable atmosphere for the crystallization of your business. The wicked Mara’s host (the red Devils who constitute the famous ‘I’) against him did not prevail. Pure is he and wise, loving and full of mercy.”

Parsifal Unveiled, 1970 also in Anger

Love, unfortunately, does not exist in human beings, and it is not something that can be acquired, bought, cultivated like a greenhouse flower. Love must be born in us, and it is only born when we have thoroughly understood the hatred, fear, sexual passion, psychological slavery and dependence we carry within.

Fundamental Education, 1970

People do not want to realise that love does not exist and that only by comprehending all of the processes of hate in the different corridors, spheres and regions of the subconscious, hatred ends and in a natural, spontaneous, and pure way, that which is called love is born; thus love comes to exist.

The Fifth Gospel 1B The Need to Crystallize the Soul Second Chamber – Mexico City – January 1977

✦ ✦ ✦

How this was made. Fifty-two books were fetched and extracted, and indexed as 73,105 paragraphs and 2,157,671 words. They were swept on fifty terms. Four more were tested and thrown out on the evidence: spite returned ninety-seven paragraphs and ninety-six of them were in spite of. That returned 700 candidate paragraphs, of which every one was read and judged. 122 were printed. The rest are recorded, with the reason each was set aside, in the project that holds this work.

Three hundred and eighty-five paragraphs were never offered to the sweep. Two hundred and forty-seven are the places where his transcribers marked that the tape had lost words, or could not make them out, and said plainly that what stands in the gap came from written copies rather than from his voice. Forty-seven are the editors' front matter, and ninety-one are the contents and the alphabetical index — neither of which is his. Every one of them keeps its place in the index so that no reference moves, and nothing was taken from any of them.

Nineteen paragraphs the word list could not see. The scanner prints ill-will as Ill- will or ill will across nine books, and word-boundary matching is blind to it. The whole Demon of Ill-will family was invisible to the sweep — including the line that turned out to be this work’s hinge. They were recovered by hand and are marked in the record.

What is not here, and why. A hundred and thirty-seven of the candidates are the largest single block of the word hate in the whole library, and not one of them is printed. They are his polemic against people who hate sex, hate the Arcanum, or hate Gnosis — hate there means only that somebody rejects his teaching, and says nothing about the defect. Naming it is better than hiding it.

The scripture is his quoting, not his teaching. 6 passages are set in italic behind a gold rule: the Odes of Sophia on being hated without a cause, the two lines about the mystery that knows why hate arose and why love arose, and the Gospel of Buddha and the Dhammapada as Parsifal Unveiled prints them.

Seven silent corrections. Six repair a word the scanner broke with a space — Yo u, ga ve, self- esteem, Self- willed, phe nomena, Ill- will. The seventh is a true misreading: The Perfect Matrimony prints “they hate rue for having written this book” where the word is me. Nothing else has been touched.

The line the typesetter broke. The Fifth Gospel is set in two narrow columns and hyphenates constantly, so a word broken across a line end reaches this page 36 times. One rule closes them, and it never invents a letter: where the two halves joined make a word the hyphen goes, and where the first half is a compounding prefix or both halves are words in their own right the hyphen stays and only the space closes. Every one is listed in the build record.

Checked twice. Every passage was proved against the raw extraction of its own PDF, and the text printed here was proved equal to those paragraphs. 122 passages, no failures.

23 passages also stand in Anger, and each is marked. Where a paragraph names both defects the rule has been that Anger takes it; these are the ones where hatred is plainly the subject, and a reader of this work should not be sent to another book for the line that opens it.
