Seventy Times Seven
the debts we cancel, and the debt that is cancelled for us
Samael Aun Weor
How this was made
Every passage here is his, pulled out of the source by reference and never retyped. All fifty books in the library were searched for the words of forgiveness — forgive, pardon, repent, remission, mercy, resentment, rancour, vengeance, reconcile, trespass, remorse — and 1,040 occurrences were found in 826 paragraphs across forty-four of them. What is printed here is what carries teaching or practice. Obvious scan damage is repaired silently; every repair is listed in the project record for this work.
The book and the chapter travel with each passage, in small capitals above it. A themed collection has no single source to be checked against, so the source has to be on the page.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive
Treatise of Revolutionary Psychology, 1975 · THE PSYCHOLOGICAL SONG
A person who is identified with his “self” pities his own situation, and it even occurs to him to keep a count of his problems. This is why he thinks, in spite of all his well known generosities, this or that fellow, the godfather, godmother, the neighbor, the boss, the friend, etc. have not repaid him as they were supposed to. Therefore, bottled up within this, he becomes unbearable and boring to the entire world. Practically, one cannot talk with such a person, because any conversation will certainly end up in his accounting book of such boastful sufferings.
Regarding the Gnostic esoteric work, it is written that the growth of one’s soul is only possible through the forgiveness of others.
If someone lives from instant to instant, from moment to moment, suffering because he feels that others owe him something, because others have mistreated him, because others have caused him bitterness, then nothing will be able to grow in his interior, because he will always sing the same song.
Zodiacal Course, 1951 · Ruler: Rasamosa and Uacabiel
Our Lord, the Christ, taught us to pray like this:
“Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Zodiacal Course, 1951
This prayer is done in profound meditation, adoring that ineffable star from which our “Inner Being” came and in this manner, we will learn to talk with our Father who is in secret.
Treatise of Revolutionary Psychology, 1975 · THE PSYCHOLOGICAL SONG
Hence, the feeling that people owe us something or the pain we experience is due to the evil deeds which others caused against us, etc., are obstacles for all internal progress of the soul.
Jesus, the Great Kabir, said: “Agree with thee adversary quickly, while thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing..” MATTHEW 5:25,26
If they owe us, we owe. If we demand to be repaid to the last denarius, we should first pay the last farthing. This is the “Law of the Thalion,” “an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth,” an absurd “vicious circle.” The apologies, compliance and the humiliations which we demand from others for the wrongs they caused us are also demanded from us, even if we consider ourselves to be “humble sheep.” So, to place oneself under unnecessary laws is an absurdity. It is better to place oneself under new influences.
The Law of Mercy is a more elevated influence than the Law of the violent man: “An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.”
It is urgent, indispensable and non-excludable to place ourselves intelligently under the marvelous influences of the Gnostic esoteric work, in order to forget that people owe us and to eliminate from our psyche any form of self-consideration.
We must never allow within ourselves feelings of the wrongs inflicted on us, sentiments of revenge, resentment, negative emotions, anxieties, violence, envy, incessant remembering of debts, etc.
☞ The condition is in the prayer itself. He does not treat the fifth line as a pious wish. He treats it as the terms of a settlement: what is cancelled for us is cancelled on the same footing we use with everyone else.
Love and resentment are incompatible atomic substances
Fundamental Education, 1970 · Generosity
Many marriages could be truly happy, but unfortunately they are not, due to old resentments accumulated in one’s memory.
Many resentful wives could be happy if they were generous enough to forget the past and live in the present, adoring their husbands. Many husbands could be truly happy with their wives if they were generous enough to forgive old mistakes and forget quarrels and troubles accumulated in one’s memory.
It is necessary and urgent that married couples comprehend the profound significance of the present moment. Husbands and wives should always feel as if they were newlyweds, forgetting the past and living joyfully in the present.
Love and resentment are incompatible atomic substances. Within love, no resentment of any kind can exist. Love is eternal forgiveness.
We must have generous hearts. True generosity is not of the mind; authentic generosity is the perfume of the heart. If people were generous they would forget all the resentments accumulated in their memories, all the painful experiences of many yesterdays and learn to live from moment to moment, always happy, always generous, full of true sincerity.
Fundamental Notions of Endocrinology & Criminology, 1957 · Total Revolution and Partial Revolution
Malice is accumulated desire. Hatred and resentment are frustrated desire.
Anger, rancor, and hatred are distinct forms of desire that are transmuted into supreme sweetness, infinite pardon, and supreme love.
Fundamental Notions of Endocrinology & Criminology, 1957 · Inspiration
The one who has hatred, resentment, jealousy, envy, pride, etc. does not achieve elevation of himself to the second step called Inspired Knowledge.
Fundamental Education, 1970 · The Human Personality
It is sad that mothers whip their children, beat them, insult them with cruel and rotten words. The result of such conduct is resentment, hatred, lost love, etc.
The Aquarian Message, 1960 · THE CHURCH OF THYATIRA
Do not hold resentments against your neighbour. Remember that your neighbour is not perfect either. Act not with resentment or revenge. Love, forgive, and kiss the hand of the executioner who whips you.
Parsifal Unveiled, 1970 · PAPYRUS NEBSENI
The Ego likes to swear, denigrate, abominate, detract, etc. Yet, the Being only knows how to bless, love and forgive.
The Ego enjoys grievance, discord, disputes, quarrels, altercations, wranglings; it is a friend of revolts, conflicts, grudges, disputes, litigation, discussions, complaints, wars, etc. By antithesis, we assert that the Being is distinct: He loves peace, serenity, He is an enemy of harsh words, He abhors altercations, squabbles. He says what he has to say and afterwards he keeps silence, allowing his interlocutors complete liberty to think, to accept or reject; thereafter, he withdraws.
Treatise of Revolutionary Psychology, 1975 · THE PSYCHOLOGICAL SONG
Then the resentful singer leaves in search of a new friend, of someone who is willing to listen to him for an indefinite time.
☞ Resentment is a substance, not a mood. That is why he says it cannot occupy the same place as love, and why the remedy he gives is generosity of memory rather than effort of will.
Whoever does not know how to forgive
Esoteric Treatise of Hermetic Astrology, 1967 · LIBRA
Libra people have the defect of not knowing how to forgive their fellowmen; they want to see the Law and nothing but the Law in everything, often forgetting mercy.
The Libra person cannot be approached with double plays; that is not tolerated and forgiven by the Libra person.
One has to always be friendly and kind or always severe with Libra people, but never with that sweetness and harshness, because the Libra person never tolerates and never forgives that.
Esoteric Treatise of Hermetic Astrology, 1967 · SCORPIO
The natives of Scorpio have a certain tendency towards anger and vengeance; they forgive someone with great difficulty.
Zodiacal Course, 1951 · Ruler: Samael
The natives of Scorpio are of strong will, but should fight against the defect of anger, of hatred and vengeance. The natives of Scorpio are either totally chaste or fornicators altogether. They always pass through bitterness before the age of thirty.
Esoteric Treatise of Hermetic Astrology, 1967 · SAGITTARIUS
Natives of Sagittarius easily become angry and then forgive.
Manual of Practical Magic, 1954 · THE SEMEN.
131. The natives of Sagittarius become angry easily and forgive easily.
☞ He describes this as temperament, not as sin. The Libra fault is wanting the Law and nothing but the Law; the Scorpio fault is a long memory. Knowing which one is yours is the whole use of this section.
Forgive the defects of the beloved
The Yellow Book, 1959
Those who are in love must forgive one another for all sorts of errors. Nobody is perfect. The couple must mutually forgive each other for their very human errors. Love is not to blame for the disagreements between lovers who adore each other. All those annoyances belong to the psychological “I” (Satan).
The Perfect Matrimony, 1950 (ed. 1966) · HAPPINESS, MUSIC, DANCING AND THE KISS
We should forgive the defects of the beloved, because these are the defects of the “I”. Love is not to blame for the quarrels. The guilty one is the
☞ The quarrel is between two Legions, not between two people. The whole of this teaching is set out in Love — The Two Halves, which is already made; it is not re-quoted here.
Justice without mercy is tyranny
Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978 · ARCANUM NUMBER 5
Fortunately my friends, Justice and Mercy are the two Toral Columns of the Universal White Lodge.
Justice without Mercy is tyranny; Mercy without Justice is tolerance, indulgence of the crime. Karma is negotiable, and this is something which may surprise a great many of the followers of the different orthodox schools.
Zodiacal Course, 1951 · Ruler: Uriel
Do not forget, beloved disciple, that justice is the supreme mercy and impiety of the law.
Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978 · NUMBER FOUR (4)
Justice is administered according to the 35 principles of Mercy. Justice without Mercy would be tyranny. Justice and Mercy are perfectly balanced.
☞ He writes this sentence twice, fourteen years apart — Tarot and Kabbalah in 1969 and again in Yes, There Is a Hell — in almost the same words. It is one of the few formulas he does not vary.
Karma is the law of compensation, not of vengeance
Aztec Christic Magic, 1973 · The Law of Karma
Karma is the law of compensation, not of vengeance. There are some who confuse this cosmic law with detriment and even with fatality, believing that everything that happens to the human being in life is inexorably determined beforehand. It is true that the acts of the human being are determined by inheritance, education, and the environment. It is also true that the human being has free will and can modify his actions to educate his
Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978 · ARCANUM NUMBER 5
Some pseudo-esoterists and pseudo-occultists have become excessively pessimistic in relation to the law of action and consequence; they mistakenly consider that it operates in a mechanical, automatic, and cruel manner. The erudites believe that it is not possible to alter the law; I am sincerely sorry, but I have to disagree with this manner of thinking. If the law of action and consequence, if the nemesis of existence were not negotiable, what then would remain of divine mercy? Frankly, I am unable to accept cruelty in divinity. The real, that which is complete perfection, that which has different names like Tao, Aum, INRI, Sein, Allah, Brahma, God, or better said, Gods, etc., etc., etc., could in no manner be something without mercy, cruel, tyrannical, etc. Due to all of the above, I emphatically repeat that Karma is negotiable.
Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978 · GEBURAH
The chief of the Archons of the Law is the Master Anubis, who presides with his 42 judges. When they officiate, they use the sacred mask which has the form of the head of a jackal, or feathered wolf, which is an emblem of Truth.
Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978 · JUSTICE IS THE SUPREME PIETY AND SUPREME IMPIETY OF THE LAW.
In the Tribunal of Karma, he who has the means to pay comes off well in the dealings. We need to constantly do good works so as to have the wherewithal with which to pay our debts from this and previous lives. It is impossible to elude Justice because the police of Karma is within us; this is the KAOM. Wherever there may be a lack of Love, the KAOM appears, the police, the accuser, who leads us before the Tribunal of the Law. It is possible to cancel karma with good works. In this manner the Lion of the Law is combated. When an inferior Law is transcended by a superior Law, the superior Law washes away the inferior. Karma is not a mechanical Law; it can be pardoned. Do good works so as to cancel your debts. When we reach a point where we are totally harmless, when one is no longer capable of doing harm to anyone, the karma is pardoned.
Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973 · BUSINESS AFFAIRS
This means that it is only possible to radically modify karma when repentance is total and when every possibility of repeating the error that produced it, has disappeared radically. Kamaduro reaching its end is always catastrophic. Not all karma is negotiable.
☞ The police of Karma is inside. He puts the accuser, the judge and the payment in one place — and then says the account is settled with works, not with feeling.
Karma can also be forgiven
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · CHAPTER 21
Every cause has its effect. A cause does not exist without an effect; neither does an effect exist without a cause. Those who know the Law of Return and Reoccurrence comprehend the Law of Karma. Those who know the Law of Reincarnation know the Law of Karma. The bad actions of former lives must be canceled, here and now. Not only do we pay Karma for the evil that we do, but also for the good that we should do but we do not do.
However, Karma can be negotiated.
Karma can also be forgiven.
Karmaduro is another Sanskrit term, which indicates Karma that can neither be negotiated nor forgiven. There also exists the Law of Katancia, the superior Karma of Gods and Adepts. The Law of Katancia also allows negotiations and forgiveness.
The Lion of the Law must be fought with the Scale.
Perform good deeds in order to pay your debts.
Whosoever has capital in order to pay, then pays and does well in his affairs. Whosoever does not have capital in order to pay, then will have to pay with pain.
It is written, “When an inferior law is transcended by a superior law, the superior law washes away the inferior law.
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · Philip questioneth Jesus
If the Intimate Lord had not made forgiveness and negotiations possible, many who could have been saved would have been sunk. Negotiations and forgiveness were made possible for the salvation of the world.
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · CHAPTER 23
Unquestionably, the Intimate Christ has made forgiveness and negotiations possible in order that those who shall be saved might be quickly purified and raised on high.
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · CHAPTER 25
It is possible, individually speaking, to settle the affairs of the Law with the Rulers and the Aeons of the Fate and the Sphere, by means of forgiveness and negotiations.
This means that the acceleration of our inner Self-realization is always possible based on conscious works, voluntary sufferings, negotiations and forgiveness.
Esoteric Course of Runic Magic, 1969 · RUNE NOT
Today, we are astonished when we contemplate a bee’s honeycomb or an ant-hive, but we only lament that they now lack intelligence and that they have become mechanical. Let us now talk about the forgiveness of sins. Can perhaps Karma be forgiven? We say that Karma can be forgiven. When an inferior law is transcended by a superior law, the latter has in itself, without a doubt, the extraordinary power of washing away the first one. Nevertheless, there are lost cases, as such of the ants and bees. Such creatures, after having normal personalities, became involuted, they became deformed and diminished themselves, until reaching their present state.
The Great Rebellion, 1975 · CAUSES-"I"S
Only most profound repentance and the respective negotiations with the Lords of Karma, can give us the joy of achieving disintegration of all those causal elements, which in one way or another can lead us to definitive elimination of the undesirable elements.
☞ Chapter 21 of Pistis Sophia Unveiled is the densest page in the library on this. Three words are worth carrying out of it: negotiated, forgiven, and Karmaduro — the debt that is neither.
All sins can be forgiven, except one
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · CHAPTER 21
All types of sins can be forgiven, except the sins against the Holy Spirit.
Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978 · THE MASTERS ARE SONS OF THE STONES.
“Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men neither in this world, neither in the world to come.” (Matthew 12. 31- 32; Mark 3. 28-29).
The Greater Mysteries, 1956 · THE CHURCH OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Love can neither be bought nor sold because one then commits a serious crime against the Holy Spirit. “All manner of sin shall be forgiven unto men: but the sin against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.”
The Perfect Matrimony, 1950 (ed. 1966) · THE SPHERE OF LILITH
The sphere of Lilith is the sphere of the great heresy. These people already have no possibility of redemption because they hate the Holy Spirit. “All manner of sin shall be forgiven, except the sin against the Holy Ghost.”
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · CHAPTER 51
Only the sins against the Holy Spirit become unforgivable and non-negotiable. Fortunate are those who will confess to the Lord and will sing praises to the Lord in the Midst of countless people.
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · CHAPTER 46
The Great Mystery of the forgiveness of sins is related with sex. Only the one who works in the Great Work deserves to be forgiven. We deserve the forgiveness of these or those faults, when their corresponding inhuman elements are dissolved within ourselves.
Zodiacal Course, 1951 · Ruler: Raphael
Why do the natives of Virgo suffer? Why do they cry? Why are they not happy in love? All sins shall be forgiven, except the sins against the Holy Spirit.
☞ He never leaves the exception abstract. Wherever he names the sin against the Holy Spirit he means the sexual force, and he says so plainly in Pistis Sophia.
Only the Christ can forgive sins
The Greater Mysteries, 1956 · BUSINESS AFFAIRS
We need to know the esoteric value of the coins. On a certain occasion, we asked for a service from Ehecatl, the God of the Wind; we had to pay him 25 cents for the service. If we add the numbers 2 and 5 between themselves, we get the number 7. 7 is the arcane of expiation. We had suffered a great deal, with patience. We had that coin, we paid with it and a person who made us suffer, left us; this is how that miracle was accomplished. If we had not had that coin, Ehecatl would not have done that work for us. Nothing is given to us for free; everything has a price.
By working in favor of humanity, we can pay off our old debts. The only one who can forgive our sins is Christ.
It is only terrible remorse, supreme inner repentance, and the solemn promise, that can lead us to forgiveness. That business matter can only be settled in the internal worlds with Christ.
Aztec Christic Magic, 1973 · The Law of Karma
No one but the Christ incarnated in the human being can forgive sins. Forgiveness is attained by the sinner only when he acquires cognizance of the committed sin, together with the unbreakable purpose of not sinning again. This is why Solomon states: and with all thy getting get understanding. And the Bible adds: God does not want to slay the sinner, but to give him life through repentance.
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · CHAPTER 57
Only the Intimate Christ can forgive sins.
The Intimate Christ can blot out sins by granting forgiveness for them. The Intimate Christ washes ourselves from all iniquity when forgiving our sins and disintegrating our psychic aggregates.
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · CHAPTER 61
Only the Intimate Christ can forgive the Karmic debts that we have.
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · Martha interpreteth from Psalm XXIX
Only the Intimate Christ can forgive us and save us from all bitterness. Nevertheless, we do not deny that the Intimate Christ grants the power to pardon sins to His Divine Mother Kundalini, the Woman-Serpent.
☞ Three things together, and none of them alone. Remorse, repentance, and the promise — and then the settlement is made somewhere other than in the head that made the resolution.
She knows how to forgive the karma of her children
The Yellow Book, 1959 · The Cosmic Mother
The devotee who wishes to have powers must ask the Divine Mother. The true devotee humbles himself before God the Mother. If the devotee is truly resolved to correct his errors and tread upon the path of sanctity, then he can ask his Divine Mother to pardon his past karma and the Divine Mother will forgive him. Yet, if the devotee does not correct himself or does not follow the path of sanctity, then it is useless to ask for pardon from the Divine Mother because she will not forgive him. The Divine Mother will pardon her children who are truly repented. She knows how to forgive the karma of her children, because they are her children. The karma from evil actions, from past incarnations, can be forgiven by the Divine Mother. When repentance is absolute, punishment is unnecessary.
The Perfect Matrimony, 1950 (ed. 1966) · THE MOTHER KUNDALINI
The Divine Mother Kundalini, with the Golden Child of the Sexual Alchemy in her loving arms, guides us through the terrible Path of the Razor’s Edge. Our adorable Isis, whose veil no mortal has ever lifted, can pardon all our past karma if we really repent of all our errors.
Esoteric Course of Runic Magic, 1969 · RUNE NOT
I owed Karma from previous lives, but I was forgiven. An eminent special encounter with my Divine Mother Kundalini was announced to me, I knew that when arriving at a certain esoteric degree, I was going to be taken to her presence.

All the doors are closed except one
Igneous Rose, 1954 · A QUEEN OF THE FIRE

Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978 · ARCANUM NUMBER 5
For the unworthy, all of the doors are closed except one; that of repentance. Ask and you shall receive, knock and it will be opened to you.
The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971
For the indignant all doors but one are closed - that of repentance. Unfortunately Brutus did not wish to knock on that door and instead of rising up through the spinal canal, the Sacred Fire was cast down from the coccyx transforming itself into the abominable organ KUNDARTIGUADOR - Satan's tail...
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · CHAPTER 61
The Interior Lord can forgive the Initiate when the repentance is true. All doors are closed for the unworthy, except the one of repentance.
The Three Mountains, 1972 · The Sexual Fire
It is extremely difficult to recover lost degrees. It is written in the Cathedral of the Soul, however, that there is more joy for one sinner that repents than for a thousand righteous people who have no need of repentance.
Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973 · OR THE CIRCLE OF SATURN
It is right for this type of delinquent to cry, pray and beg, but let him also show his repentance with deeds. Only in this manner is salvation possible for these types of creatures.
☞ He repeats this in six books — Igneous Rose, Tarot and Kabbalah, The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, Yes There Is a Hell, Pistis Sophia. It is the nearest thing he has to a refrain on the subject.
Remorse, the accusing voice of the consciousness
Esoteric Course of Runic Magic, 1969 · RO……… RU…………
Let us remember what is called remorse, which certainly is the accusing voice of the consciousness.
Those who never feel remorse are truly very far from their Interior Judge. Commonly, they are lost cases.
Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973 · THE DRAGON OF DARKNESS
Friends, I want you to know that good in the most objective sense of the word is all of what we do consciously and in accordance with the great law and evil is all of that that after it is done causes remorse in us.
Question: Master, there are many people who although they do evil, this does not cause them to feel remorse. Before all else, what is remorse?
If the transcendental aspects of our Inner Being confront themselves with our own Logoi or with the Sacred Absolute Sun, then we can verify for ourselves the psychological errors of the inferior parts of our psyche, and this causes remorse in us. Normally the mentioned process, that is, what I have just stated, is carried out in all normal beings, although the latter, in the physical world, ignore it radically; anyhow, they feel remorse after acting wrongly.
The luck of the decidedly perverse ones is very different; since they have already become too distant from the Sacred Absolute Sun due to their evil deeds, it is clear that in their consciences such processes are not carried out and therefore, remorse is impossible in them.
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · CHAPTER 55
The supreme repentance, necessary in order to disintegrate any psychic aggregates, demands cries and remorse. It is not possible to disintegrate psychic aggregates without tears, repentance and supreme pain.
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · CHAPTER 46
“How dare you ask to be helped to disintegrate in one instant of repentance that which you have enjoyed so long?”
☞ The question in the last line is the one to sit with. It is asked of a person who wants a long habit undone in a single evening of feeling sorry.
Thirteen are the Aeons and thirteen are the repentances
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · CHAPTER 57
The Twelve Repentances of Pistis Sophia are related with the Twelve Hours of Apollonius, the Twelve Works of Hercules, and the Twelve Aeons. In these Twelve Repentances, the qualification of the Eight Great Initiations of the Fire take place, as well as four more works following the Resurrection of the Intimate Christ within the Boddhisattwa.
The Thirteenth Repentance of Pistis Sophia belongs to the Thirteenth Aeon.
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · CHAPTER 60
The Thirteenth Repentance corresponds to the Thirteenth Aeon. Truly, thirteen are the Aeons and thirteen are the repentances.
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · CHAPTER 39
Unquestionably, the Soul can observe the repentance of the inferior parts of itself from the Thirteenth Aeon. The inferior parts of our own Being, placed in the inferior levels, also have the right to repentance.
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · CHAPTER 36
The true Repentance has its foundation in the sexual Mysteries.
Peter, Patar, with his radical letters, knows very well that the key of repentance is in sex. The three radical letters of Peter, Patar, are ‘P-T-R’.
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983
Peter, the Hierophant of sex, always gives the solution of the repentance of Pistis Sophia. The true repentance of the Soul has a sexual foundation.
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · CHAPTER 34
The repentance of Sophia within the Initiate and the Mystery of such repentance resides within the sexual transmutatory science.
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · CHAPTER 32
The Light purifies those who truly are repented of their errors.
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · CHAPTER 44
Really, we need the forgiveness of the Great Light. If the Light always thinks on our errors, then the Light would never forgive us, and we would never advance.
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · CHAPTER 45
The Omni merciful forgives many errors, if truly we deserve forgiveness.
Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 · CHAPTER 43
Let us repent and cry for our errors.
☞ Read the thirteen as a sequence, not as one act repeated. Sophia repents once for each Aeon she has to climb back through, and the parts of the Being that are furthest down are the ones he says have the right to it.
What to do
Say the prayer, and mean the fifth line
☞ The Our Father is printed whole at the head of this booklet, as the Zodiacal Course prints it. He asks for it in profound meditation, not recited — and the line that does the work is the one about trespasses.
The Retrospective Exercise, with resentment on the bench
Esoteric Treatise of Hermetic Astrology, 1967 · CANCER
The Retrospective Exercise permits us to become conscious of our own Lunar Ego, of our own errors. Let us remember that the Ego is a bunch of memories, desires, passions, anger, covetousness, lust, pride, laziness, gluttony, self-esteem, resentments, vengeances, etc.
If we want to dissolve the Ego, we should first study it. The Ego is the root of ignorance and pain.
Ask your Divine Mother, in these words
Esoteric Course of Runic Magic, 1969 · RUNE NOT
How joyful...how happy I was when conversing with my Divine Mother! I had something to say, and when I spoke I did so with a voice which surprised my very own self.
“I ask you to forgive me of all of the crimes committed by me in previous lives, since, you know that nowadays I would be incapable of falling into the same errors.”
“I know it, my Son” replied my Mother with a paradisiacal voice filled with infinite love. “Not even for a million dollars would I commit those errors again,” I continued saying to my Divine Mother Kundalini. “What is that about dollars, my son? Why are you saying that? Why are you talking like that?” Then, oh God!... I felt embarrassed with myself...confused, ashamed and filled with pain I answered: “Pardon me, Mother of mine, the problem is that this is the spoken way of that vain and illusory physical world where I live.” “I comprehend my son” answered my Mother. So, with these words the Adorable One returned tranquility and peace unto me. “Now, yes, Mother of mine, I ask you to bless me and forgive me”, I spoke filled with ecstasy. Terrific was the moment in which my Mother, on Her knees, kneeled with infinite humbleness and filled with wisdom, love and power, blessed me when saying: “My son you are forgiven.” “Allow me to kiss your feet, oh Mother of mine”, I cried. Then, oh God! when I deposited my mystical kiss upon Her sacred feet, She instructed me with a certain symbol, which reminded me of the washing of feet in the Last Supper of the Lord.

Aztec Christic Magic, 1973 · The Secret Teaching of the Nahuas
Many times when a sin was not the origin of the illness, the Master then administered his command followed by the ineffable word that he pronounced so quietly that it seemed a whisper.
