The materiality of our world is dreadful, and all that can be achieved by oneself with supreme ease in the worlds of 6, 12, or 3 laws, can be attained here only with bloodshed and unspeakable sufferings. Beneath us is the sub-world where materiality is frightfully dense. The atoms of the first region of the Abyss contain within themselves no less than 96 laws, 96 primary particles, 96 atoms of the Absolute. In the second region of the Mineral Kingdom, each atom has 192 atoms of the Absolute, and so on successively. The Mineral Kingdom is, then, frightfully materialistic, and that is why life beneath the earth is truly hell. The Absolute creates its cosmic plan in the world of Three Laws, and then everything continues mechanically. We are separated from the Absolute by 48 Mechanical Laws that make life frighteningly mechanical and terribly tedious for us. If we fabricate a true astral body (this is not to be confused with the body of desires which Max Heindel speaks of), we are freed from half of these laws, and we remain subject to the 24 orders of laws that wisely govern the planetary world. To fabricate a solar body, that is to say, an authentic astral body, means in fact to be one step closer to the Absolute.
