He calls it plainly: “Another serious crime is that of ingratitude.” This booklet gathers what he teaches of it. Ingratitude towards life and towards those who help us, which hides behind the excuse “I do not owe anything to anyone”. Ingratitude towards the teacher, repaid with persecution, as Christ was by “the ingratitude of the Pharisees”. Ingratitude towards our father and mother, for “Grateful children must love their mothers”. And ingratitude towards the Being and the Divine Mother, whom he asks us to “never ever forget your Divine Mother”, as “We must never forget our Father, who is in secret.”

Most of these passages also stand in Gratitude and Kindness, whose second part is on ingratitude. They are printed here again on purpose, each marked where it stands, so that this booklet can be read on its own.

II do not owe anything to anyone

Ingratitude is called a serious crime: the one who has been fed and sheltered turns on his benefactors, and covers it with the excuse that he owes nothing to anyone because life provides everything. Ingratitude is joined to treason, and the good left undone when one could do it is also paid for.

Another serious crime is that of ingratitude. A dog is given bread and it is grateful, but many brothers of the path are not grateful. If a legitimate Master teaches them, all that he receives as payment are persecutions, hatred and calumnies.

The Greater Mysteries, 1956 also in Gratitude and Kindness, The Greater Mysteries

We knew the case of a spiritualist brother who, when he was hungry and unemployed, always met a charitable soul who gave him food and shelter; later, when he was already working, he then had no hesitation to turn against his charitable servers. Sometimes he publicly slandered them, or attacked them. This is how this brother paid with the coin of ingratitude.

The Greater Mysteries, 1956 also in Gratitude and Kindness

However, he always found a philosophical excuse. He stated cynically, “I do not owe anything to anyone; life is the one that provides everything and my charitable servants are merely instruments of the great life and I do not owe them anything.”

The Greater Mysteries, 1956 also in Gratitude and Kindness

187. We must cultivate gratitude because ingratitude and treason are joined.

Igneous Rose, 1954 also in Gratitude and Kindness, Igneous Rose

For what use is the vile envy and lust, if their pale furies writhe as reptiles? For what use is the fatal hatred of those who are ungrateful...? For what use are the libidinous gestures of the Pilates?

Runic Magic, 1969

It would have been absurd and ungrateful to deny such urgent assistance. Karma is paid not only for the evil one does, but also for the good that one does not do when one is able to do it.

The Three Mountains, 1972 also in Gratitude and Kindness

It is written that every human being is assigned one hundred and eight lives to become self-realized. Time is running out for many persons. Whoever does not attain selfrealization within his allotted time ceases to be born, to enter the Infernal Worlds. In support of the Law of Involution or retrogression comes the Bhagavad Gita, saying, “They, the evil, cruel and ungrateful, I cast them perpetually into the Asuric (demoniac) wombs, in order for them to be born in these worlds” (infernal worlds).

IIWe even complain about the ingratitude of other people

The ungrateful person does not see his own defect; he thinks himself good and complains that others are ungrateful to him and demand what they never gave. Self-observation and meditation show the hidden "I", such as a wounded self-love, so that it can be dissolved.

Therefore, as long as a human being has not dissolved these creations of hell, these aberrations of himself, undoubtedly in the deepest part, in the most profound part of him, he will continue being something that must not exist, a deformity an abomination. The most critical aspect of all of this is that the abominable person does not become aware of his own abomination. He believes himself to be beautiful, just, a good person, and he even complains about the lack of comprehension of others. He laments the ingratitude of his fellowmen. He says that they do not understand him. He cries affirming that they owe him, that they have paid him back with black coins, etc.

Treatise of Revolutionary Psychology, 1975 also in The Psychological Song, Vanity

To see such creations, to observe those monstrosities of hell, within which our own Consciousness is bottled up, becomes possible with the progressive development of the sense of self-observation. As long as we have those aberrations inside, we will be an abomination, even if we think we are beautiful or just, and we even complain about the ingratitude of other people and cry out that they don’t understand us. The sense of self-observation allows us to see clearly the “I” that we are dissolving and the evident and determined results of the inner work. It is interesting to observe how such beasts are losing size, and finally disintegrate, releasing the Essence that was bottled up in that defect. All this implies, naturally, successive in-depth works, always continuous, because no “I” can ever be disintegrated instantaneously.

The Fifth Gospel The Balance of the Energetic Centers Conference given to Gnostic students also in Identification, Self-Observation

We protest about being insulted, when we ourselves have always insulted those around us. We want that our children obey us when we never knew how to obey our parents. Slander annoys us terribly when we have always defamed others and have filled the world with pain. Gossip makes us angry; we do not want anyone to say anything about us; nonetheless we went about spreading gossip and rumo urs, speaking ill of our fellowman, causing other people lives of distress. That is to say, we always demand that which we have not given; in all our previous lives we were worthless and deserve the worst, but we consider that we should receive the best.

Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978 also in Slander, Truthfulness

In the protest there were words that were, not of a grotesque type, but quite ungrateful. I did not feel anger, due to the fact that I had dissolved it; but some pain in the heart, yes. I immediately devoted myself to meditation to know what this pain which I had felt in my heart consisted of, and I could clearly verify the crude realism of an “I” of self-love which had been wounded.

Part Two — The perverse ones requite evil for good

5 passages

IThe reward from humanity will be ingratitude

Those who bring the teaching are repaid with ingratitude, criticism and persecution by the very people who benefit from it. The Pharisees attacked Christ with the words they had learned from Him, and evil is returned for good.

77. Everyone in the world benefits from the works of the Apostles. Everyone in the world reads their books. Everyone in the world pays the Apostle with the coin of ingratitude because, according to popular concept, “the Apostle has not the right to know.”

Igneous Rose, 1954 also in Gratitude and Kindness

Everything is written in the Bible. Do not let yourself be deceived by the brilliant intellectualities of the lucifers. We have delivered to you, in this book, the terrible secret of Sexual Magic in order for you to transform yourselves into gods. Really, we have delivered this book with immense sacrifice, however, we are absolutely certain that the reward from humanity will be ingratitude. The scoundrels will study this book, not to learn, but to criticize, slander, persecute, tarnish and discredit us.

The Greater Mysteries, 1956 also in The Greater Mysteries

Quetzalcoatl was a divine instructor. He was denied and persecuted by the same people whom he had taught how to love and live. They persecuted him and in his escape from Tollan, he sought refuge for some time in Teotihuacan (a place of worship) where he left behind an open temple. On this temple’s altar, the Masters performed self-sacrifice and the solemn ceremony of the new fire.

Aztec Christic Magic, 1973

The most critical is the ingratitude of the Pharisees. They attack Christ with the very same words and teachings that they learned from the Lord.

The perverse ones requite evil for good and childlessness for the Soul.

IITurning his back on the Guru

Here the ingratitude of the disciple goes as far as betraying the Guru, as Judas and Brutus did, with a mystical pride that makes devotees despise the Master. One who betrays the Guru gains nothing from the work, however hard he labours, and Brutus never asked forgiveness.

Ungrateful to his benefactors, with much work as a knight, none the less Brutus accepted Gnosis and the SAHAJA MAITHUNA...

The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971 also in Gratitude and Kindness

Without restraining himself in the knowledge of a cause, but turning his back on the Guru (Master), he worked in VULCAN'S FIERY FORGE in vain because DEVI KUNDALINI never rewards treason...

The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971 also in Gratitude and Kindness, Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted

The negative “I” of mystical pride deceives the devotees of the Path. Thus, believing themselves to be wise, they despise their Master and betray Him... The negative “I” appeals to our personal experiences, our memories, our best wishes, our sincerity. Hence, amidst all of these things, through a rigorous selection, this negative “I” presents something under a false light, something that fascinates. Thus, the outcome is failure...

Treatise of Revolutionary Psychology, 1975 also in Fascination, Lying, Pride, Truthfulness

The one who takes away his life, has to die against his will in a new return. That is his punishment. In his ingratitude, the Judas who betrays his Master sins against the Holy Spirit. The Master’s love is in the church of the heart. The fires of the heart control the Kundalini. The Kundalini develops, evolves and progresses according to the merits of the heart. With a single seminal ejaculation, it is enough for the Kundalini to descend one or more vertebrae. It is very difficult to get the lost canyons; that is the punishment for the weak. The ascent of the Kundalini is very slow and difficult. Each vertebra demands certain conditions of sanctity; this is the terror of Love and the Law.

The Greater Mysteries, 1956 also in The Greater Mysteries

The Fire of sexual delight would never rise in the spines of those who betray their guru. The sexual Fire would never rise by the medullar channels of drunks, effeminates, lesbians, drug addicts, assassins, thieves, liars, slanderers, exploiters, the greedy, blasphemous, sacrilegious people, etc., etc., etc.

The Three Mountains, 1972 also in Gluttony

He who does not die in himself, he who does not dissolve the ego, in the end develops the abominable Kundartiguador organ even if he is working in the lit forge of Vulcan (sexyoga). We have already said in previous chapters that the abominable organ of all the fatalities is developed in adulterers, in those who betray the Guru, in the sincerely mistaken ones who are used to justifying transgressions, in the irate and perverse ones, etc., although they are working with white tantrism, although they do not spill the Cup of Hermes.

Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973 also in Psychological Death, The Holy Grail, The Kundabuffer

That is the case of Brutus. Brutus betrayed the Guru, and not only betrayed him, but he never repented of the betrayal, never asked forgiveness, never wished forgiveness. Why should one give forgiveness to someone who did not ask for forgiveness? Why should one forgive someone who has not repented of a crime?

The Fifth Gospel The Power of Conscious Faith Second Chamber – Mexico City – 1977 also in Remorse and Repentance, Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted

Part Three — Grateful children must love their mothers

9 passages

IDeceased fathers and mothers from many families could still be alive

The ungrateful son abhors his father and forgets his mother, and some abandon their elderly parents in the name of a wider family. Hard words, cruel looks and ungrateful actions make the people closest to us ill and shorten their lives.

Others abandon their own mother, their elderly father, saying, “All beings are my family, I do not care about my parents, I am a rebel, etc.” This is how they conceal the crime within the incense of prayer.

The Greater Mysteries, 1956 also in Gratitude and Kindness, The Greater Mysteries

The world is full of ungrateful patricides and matricides who have murdered their fathers and mothers, whether it was with their looks, their words, or their cruel actions.

Fundamental Education, 1970 also in Cruelty, Gratitude and Kindness

The illness that leads our loved ones to the grave has as its causa causorum words that kill, looks that injure, ungrateful actions, etc.

Fundamental Education, 1970 also in Gratitude and Kindness, Slander, Truthfulness

The ungrateful son who abhors his father and forgets about his mother is truly a perverse individual who detests all things divine.

Fundamental Education, 1970 also in Gratitude and Kindness, Hatred

The greatest illusion for a woman is to have a wonderful home and to be a mother: "blessed predestination". However, even if she marries a good man, which is unlikely, all things come to pass in the end; sons and daughters get married and leave home or they are ungrateful to their parents, and the home finally comes to an end.

The Great Rebellion, 1975

Many are the husbands who have killed their wives with their evil actions, with their bad conduct, with their horrible jealousies, ingratitude, etc.

Esoteric Treatise of Hermetic Astrology, 1967 also in Gratitude and Kindness, Jealousy, Sagittarius

We should not forget that every illness has psychic causes. Insults, irony, thunderous and offensive laughter, evil words serve to cause harm, illnesses, to assassinate, etc. Many parents would have lived a little longer, if their children would have allowed them. Almost all human beings are matricides, parricides, fratricides, uxoricides, etc., etc. Pity is lacking in students of occultism; they are incapable of sacrificing themselves for their fellowmen who suffer and cry.

Esoteric Treatise of Hermetic Astrology, 1967 also in Altruism and Charity, Anger, Compassion, Gratitude and Kindness, Internal Chatter, Sagittarius, Slander, Truthfulness

Assassination is without any doubt the most great act of corruption that exists in the world. A neighbor’s life is not only extinguished or put out by revolvers, gas, knives, poisons, stones, sticks, gallows, etc., etc., etc., but, also we annihilate the life of our fellowmen with hard words, violent eyesight, acts of ingratitude, infidelity, treason, guffaws, etc. Deceased fathers and mothers from many families could still be alive if their children wo uld not have taken their existence by means of their evil deeds. Multitudes of husbands and wives could still be breathing under the light of the sun, if their spouses would have allowed them to do so. Remember that the human being kills what he or she loves the most. Any moral grief can make us sick and take us to the sepulcher. Every sickness has psychic causes.

Parsifal Unveiled, 1970 also in Anger, Gratitude and Kindness, Truthfulness

To kill, is obviously the most destructive and most corrupt act known on the planet Earth. It is written in the book of all mysteries that you can not only kill with daggers, firearms, the gallows or poison. There are many that kill with a contemptuous look, with an ironic smile or laugh; with ingratitude; or libel or slander.

IIKnow how to respect our parents and teachers

Respect and veneration towards parents and teachers are named as a condition for comprehending the teachings. The revolution of the consciousness never means forgetting father or mother, and grateful children love their mothers, even when kept apart from them.

It is urgent to know how to respect our parents and teachers, but do not confuse this respect with love. Respect and love should be intimately joined but we should not confuse one with the other.

Fundamental Education, 1970

The youth of this new generation have lost the sense of respect, of veneration towards their parents, teachers, spiritual guides, gurus, mahatmas, etc.

Fundamental Education, 1970 also in Memory

It is impossible to comprehend the teachings if we do not know how to venerate and respect our parents, teachers, preceptors or spiritual guides.

Fundamental Education, 1970 also in Memory

The revolution of the consciousness does not signify ungratefulness; it does not mean forgetting one’s father, undervaluing one’s adorable mother. The revolution of the consciousness is wisdom, love and perfect power.

Fundamental Education, 1970 also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution, Gratitude and Kindness

My childhood examples come to my mind. Since my earthly parents had divorced, we, the brothers of a large family, had to suffer. We had remained with the head of the family, and we were forbidden to visit the female head of the family, that is, our earthly mother. Nevertheless, we were not so ungrateful as to be able to forget the female head of the family.

IIIYou have forgotten your mother, you are an ungrateful son

Before a temple the Guardian told him that he had forgotten his Mother and was an ungrateful son. At first he took it to mean his earthly mother, who had died, and was then told he must look for his Mother.

“You have forgotten your mother, you are an ungrateful son” explained the Guardian, and the way in which he intoned these words, I confess, produced in me not only pain, but moreover terror.

“You have forgotten your Mother, you are an ungrateful son, and the ungrateful son does not progress in these studies.”

The Fifth Gospel Didactic Synopsis of Mystical Death also in Gratitude and Kindness, Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted

This was even worse. “I, an ungrateful son? I, who loved my poor little mother so much, and now to top it all off I end up being ungrateful, and I have forgotten her? No, I have not forgotten her; what happens is that she disincarnated! And how do I find her now in the physical world?” All those things came to my mind. However, I entered the temple and he did not block my way. Once inside the temple, he continued: “I am telling you this for your own good. Understand it! You must look for your Mother.”

Part Four — Before arriving at the Father we must arrive at the Mother

5 passages

IRepent of your ungratefulness

The soul that left its Mother to follow the goddess of carnal passions is called an ungrateful and disobedient son. It is told to repent and knock at the door of the seventh chamber, and never to forget the Divine Mother.

You who have known the dangers of the boisterous ocean of life, the terrible anger of Scylla of the howling reefs, the rocks thrown by the vigilant Cyclops, the hard path that leads to Nirvana, and the battles with the tempter Mara and his three Furies, do not commit the crime of ingratitude, never ever forget your Divine Mother.

IIThe ungrateful son does not progress in these studies

Whoever neglects the Divine Mother, Isis, is the ungrateful child, and fails in the work on himself because the "I" cannot be dissolved without Her. One who rejected his Mother did not achieve the dissolution of the Ego, and the way to the Father passes through the Mother first.

Really, the "Ungrateful Child" never progresses in the esoterical work on himself. Obviously, "Ungrateful Child" is everyone who neglects "ISIS", our particular, individual, Cosmic Divine Mother.

The Great Rebellion, 1975 also in Gratitude and Kindness, The Great Rebellion, Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted

The mind by itself can never disintegrate any “I”; this is indisputable and irrefutable. To pray is to talk with God. We must appeal to God the Mother in the depths of our heart if we truly want to disintegrate “I’s.” The one who does not love his or her Mother, the ungrateful child, will fail in the work upon himself.

Treatise of Revolutionary Psychology, 1975 also in Gratitude and Kindness, Prayer in the Work, The Heart Temple, The Mind, Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted

Master: He worked in the Ninth Sphere, he fabricated the Superior Existential Bodies of the Being, but he did not achieve the total dissolution of the Ego because he rejected his Divine Mother. How can the ungrateful son dissolve the Ego? The ungrateful son does not progress in these studies. First of all, before arriving at the Father we must arrive at the Mother; that is obvious. Does any other brother have anything to ask in relation to this?

Master: He forgot his Mother! In ancient existences he was under my instruction, but in his last existence, since he was far from me, he also forgot his Divine Mother. That was his mistake, that one!

The Fifth Gospel Work Taste and Life Taste Third Chamber – Mexico City – 1976 also in Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted

Ida and Pingala are the channels through which the atoms of the fire and the water rise. The Spirit grasps the “cane of seven knots” and this cane is the spinal medulla. When the woman and the man know how to avoid the spasm and the ejaculation of the ens seminis, the Igneous Serpent of our magic powers then awakens. If you want to return to the Father who is in secret, you must first return to the womb of your Divine Mother Kundalini. You need to raise the Serpent of Life through your medullar canal; that is Alchemy. You have forgotten about your Divine Mother Kundalini. You need to adore the divine and blessed mother goddess of the world. You have been ungrateful towards your Cosmic Mother. She is the Virgin from all religious belief systems. She is Isis, Mary, Cybele, Adonia, Insoberta, etc. The stone of grace is encircled by nine delightful mountains. That stone is the sex. If you want to return to the womb of your Divine Mother, you need to work with the Philosopher’s Stone—Sex.

IIIWe must never forget our Father, who is in secret

The inner Father who is in secret is also forgotten, and the forgetting brings errors. An ancient race perished for forgetting the Heart of Heaven, and he asks himself why he forgot his own Father before the Guardian.

The Sacred Book of the Maya, the Popol Vuh, states that God created man first from clay and later from wood (the Atlantean race) but that they forgot their Fathers and Mothers, they forgot “The Heart of Heaven”.

Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978 also in The Root Races

When one forgets his Father that is in secret, one commits errors. It is better to consult and leave everything in the hands of the Father.

Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973 also in The Being Is the Being

We must never forget our Father, who is in secret. Each one of us has his own Father. For the intellectual animal, mistakenly called human being, anything related with the Spirit is mere craziness We must praise the Father, who is in secret The Soul often fades, but if the Father fortifies us, we will be victorious.

Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 also in Prayer in the Work

Later on I fell into deep thoughts. Why did I choose this path for myself? Why did I forget my Father before the terrible presence of the Guardian of the Paths?

The Three Mountains, 1972

Practise this

A few steps that only point back to what he teaches in the passages above. Each names the passages it rests on.

  1. Watch for the ungrateful “I” when it speaks: the excuse that we owe nothing to anyone, and the complaint that others are ungrateful to us and do not understand us. Self-observation lets us see it. (3, 8, 9)
  2. When it has been seen, take it into meditation until it is understood, as he did with the pain of a wounded self-love. No “I” goes all at once; the work is continuous. (11, 9)
  3. The mind by itself cannot disintegrate it. Appeal to God the Mother in the depths of the heart to remove it. (48)
  4. Respect and venerate father and mother, and the teachers and guides, and do not forget them. (35, 36)
  5. Never forget the Father who is in secret. Consult Him and leave everything in His hands. (54, 53)
