Logos, Mantram, Theurgy

The Logos

Juan, an "excellent Theurgist," leaves his body and questions three faces of the Logos in turn — the Holy Spirit (Binah, the Third Logos), the Second Logos (Chokmah) in the Venusian Initiation at the Jordan, and the Ancient of the Days (Kether, the First Logos) at the South Pole. Each encounter ends the same way: no "I," no Individuality, no Personality survives in those worlds.

"My Lord! Oh, My God! Tell me, how am I doing? ... Am I doing well?"

The white Dove, taking the shape of a sublime human figure, spoke of love:

"My son, you are not doing well!"

Surprised, Juan asked again: "Lord, tell me, why am I not doing well?"

And the Holy Spirit declared: "I am curing one of your patients, the ill woman who is under your responsibility; you are not the one curing her I am the one doing it, and yet — you have charged money! That money you received should be returned. It was give to you with much sacrifice!"

In consternation Juan answered: "Lord, lf I return that money, will I then be on the right path?"

The venerable elder affirmed: "Yes, then you will be doing well, very well !"

The chapter closes on the mechanics that later chapters turn into exercise: the Third Logos' creative energy must return "INWARDS" and "UPWARDS" through the spinal medulla; when it reaches the Etheric, Astral, Mental, Causal and Buddhic bodies in turn it produces the Christic Mind, the Christic Will, the Christ Consciousness — and reaching the Inner Being, the incarnation of the Christ. The important thing, Samael writes, is not to ejaculate the Ens Seminis.

Mantram

The key-note

Every world, every flower, every mountain has its own note. The seven vowels of Nature run through all of Creation:

A musician who found and prolonged a man's own keynote could kill him instantly — the same law of Vibratory Affinity by which Joshua's trumpet brought down the walls of Jericho.

Geometry of the word

Phonetic combination made with wisdom produces the Mantrams: a wise combination of letters whose sounds determine spiritual, psychic and physical effects. Before the Tower of Babel there was one golden language, and its letters are written into Nature itself — the Nordic runes, the Hebrew, Chinese and Tibetan characters are intuitions of it.

The Arcane A.Z.F. and the Third Logos

The energy of the Third Logos flows through the sexual organs and the creative larynx alike. When one works with the "Arcane A.Z.F.," the Sacred Serpent awakens and rises along the medullar canal. The Word and Sex are intimately related — the Word is Sexual.

Vulgar, disharmonious, evil words modify the creative energy toward fatal vibrations; divine, sublime, harmonic words produce transmutations filled with glory. "It is as wrong to speak when one should be silent, as [it] Ills wrong to be silent when one should speak."

Theurgy

Three aspects exist in man: the Internal Christ, the Soul, and the Devil. Only one of them can hold the Priesthood of Theurgy.

The "Psychological I" is Satan — is it a Theurgist? No!

The investigators invoked the "Psychological I" of the late Arnold Krumm Heller and found it to be nothing more than a bunch of memories, wants, theories, prejudices, defects and virtues — a Tenebrous Entity dressed as a doctor. The Devil cannot be a Theurgist; he can become a Necromancer, never a Theurgist.

The Theurgist is the Internal Christ

The Soul of the World — Atman-Buddhi and the Bodhisattva together — has to study the rituals of Life and Death while the Celebrant arrives. The Theurgist is deeper still: the Internal Christ, the Shining Dragon of Wisdom in every man.

The dissolution of the Theurgist's "I"

Whoever wants High Theurgy must decide to die, to dissolve the "I," beginning with its decapitation — a labor carried out only through purification and creative comprehension. "Nobody could ascend to the University without first having been in an inferior School." One begins by practicing in the Astral Plane.

The Angel Aroch

Out of the body, following his own mystical inspiration, Juan enters a Temple and invokes the Angel Aroch, Angel of Command, who works on the Ray of Strength.

Invocation of Aroch

"In the name of Christ, by the power of Christ, by the majesty of Christ, I summon thee Angel Aroch! Angel Aroch! Angel Aroch!"

A boy of about twelve enters, dressed in white — the Angel Aroch. Juan brings him a complaint against the Tenebrous ones of the Dagdugpa Clan, who defame the Gnostic teachings from their University of the Tantric Science of the Bons and the Dugpas of the "red caps." The Angel weighs the matter on a scale and promises to act; days later the slandering society is dissolved.

Mantram pro Kundalini (for the Maithuna)

Juan asks the Angel to teach him the most powerful mantram in the Universe to awaken the Kundalini. The Angel sings it:

Vocalization: the first syllables of each sacred word (KAN and BAN) receive a high intonation, soft and prolonged; the final syllables (DIL and DIL) a low, prolonged intonation. The R is pitched higher than the first syllables — harmonious and subtle, as a child imitating the vibratory hum of a motor in motion, or the hum of a stone-sharpener's electric motor against a thin steel blade: an acute, high sound tending toward flute modulations.

These mantrams can be pronounced repeatedly, daily, as many times as possible, for a long time.

The Jinn State

Mantram and "Jinn"

A man who mysteriously vanished from prison whenever confined revealed the clue to an astrologer friend, who passed it on. On a large piece of bread, the following mantrams are written in ink, in the shape of a cross — SENOSAN GORORA laid horizontally, GOBER DON written vertically top to bottom through the space between the first two words — and then the bread is eaten:

Lulling themselves to sleep vocalizing these mantrams, the investigating brothers found a terrible God of the Ocean whose whirlwind could submerge the physical body within the Fourth Dimension and transport it anywhere in the world — granted only, the text stresses, to save a victim unjustly imprisoned.

"Jinn" paradise, garden of delights

Learning to place the body in the "Jinn" state opens the "Garden of Delights" Mohammed spoke of:

"The selected shall be brought nigh unto the Eternal."
"They shall dwell in gardens of delight " ("Jinn" lands.)
"A multitude of those of old."
"And there wait on them immortal youths."
"They shall rest in beds adorned by gold and precious stones."
"They shall look at each other with affection."
"Youths which shall continue in their bloom forever, shall go round about to attend them."
"With goblets and beakers, and a cup off lowing wine."
"Their heads shall not ache by drinking the same, neither shall their reason be disturbed."
"And the fruits with the sorts which they shall choose"
"And the flesh of birds of the kind which they shall desire."
"And there shall accompany them fair damsels having large black eyes; resembling pearls hidden in their shells: as a reward for that which they shall have wrought."

"They shall not hear therein any vain discourse, or any charge of sin; but only the salutation, Peace! Peace!"

"Flow happy shall the companions of the right hand be!"
"They shall have their abode among lote-trees free from thorns, and trees of mauz loaded regularly with their produce from top to bottom; under an extended shade, near a flowing water, and amidst fruits in abundance, which shall not fail, nor shall be forbidden to be gathered: and they shall repose themselves on lofty beds"

Peter in the "Jinn" state

"5. Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
6. And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.
7. And, behold, the angel of the Lord, came upon him, and light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.
8. And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.
9. And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.
10. When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forth with the angel departed from him.

The Acts, chapter 12,5 -11

As conclusion: we lull ourselves to sleep vocalizing the mantrams above; an Angel assists; and, imitating Peter, we rise from the bed and walk like a somnambulist into the "Jinn" Paradises.

The Bird of Minerva

The Quetzal, the Bird of Minerva, is what the Pentecostal Fire becomes as it rises the central canal of the spinal medulla — the key of Priestly Power, capable of opening any Chakra.

Mantram in Sexual Magic

During the trance of Sexual Magic, vocalize, prolonging each vowel:

One orders the Bird of Fire to open whichever chakra is needed. It will not develop instantly — perseverance and daily fervent practice are what awaken it.

Projection of the Fire to the chakras

The Bird of Minerva can be sent to the Prostate Chakra (conscious Astral travel), the Larynx (Hearing the Ultra, and the power to keep the Physical Body alive through Cosmic Nights), the Solar Plexus (endurance in fire), the Heart (power over hurricanes and winds), the crown chakra of a thousand petals (Intuition, Polyvision, conscious exit in the Spirit alone), and to the atoms of the Physical Body itself, to prepare it for the "Jinn" states.

Invocation of Agni

"In the Name of the Christ, by the Majesty of Christ, by the Power of Christ."

Agni, the God of Fire, restores fire in each of the seven bodies, and will come at the Theurgist's summons in the Astral.

Mantram of invisibility

To become invisible, project the Bird of Fire over the mind of anyone looking to harm you, order that mind not to see you, and vocalize:

Jesus, the text notes, resorted to this many times.

The Chakras

The seven vowels of Nature — I E O U A M S — resounded in the human organism before man left the "Jinn" Lands. Clairvoyance is developed with I, Clairaudience with E, the Heart Center (Inspiration) with O, the Pulmonary Chakras (memory of past reincarnations) with A; M and S make every internal center vibrate.

First series of mantrams

The sound of each letter is prolonged. CH is abundant in the Hebrew mantrams and carries immense magical power; the S is intimately connected to Fire and is given a sharp, hissing intonation, like the compressed-air brakes of a machine.

Second series of mantrams

The vowel is prolonged; the N is given a sonorous, loud, ringing intonation.

Third series of mantrams

Vocalized during Sexual Magic. Every letter is prolonged; the R is vocalized as in Chapter IV.

Fourth series of mantrams

The first syllable of each (SUI, SUE, SUO, SUU, SUA) is a diphthong accentuated on the last vowel and prolonged; the syllable RA is vocalized with the Chapter IV intonation of R, its vowel held a long time. According to the Vedas, the silent Gandana, the Celestial Music, is contained in the sublime SUARA.

Students should vocalize one hour daily — Doctor Krumm Heller's figure — to keep the Chakras in intense activity for life, choosing whichever series suits their own rhythm. The Crown Chakra engenders Polyvision; the Frontal, Clairvoyance; the Larynx, Clairaudience; the Heart, Inspiration and Intuition; the Solar Plexus, Telepathy; the Pulmonary, memory of Past Lives; the Prostate, the power to travel consciously in the Astral Body.

Exercise for the Prostate Chakra

Sink into profound meditation on the Prostate Chakra, imagined as a Lotus Flower or a magnetic disc spinning left to right. At the same time vocalize the letter M, as at the start of a bull's moo, sustained long and without decay — a deep inhalation, then the sound produced with the lips hermetically sealed until the last particle of breath is exhausted:

With these four series, the student becomes a practical Theurgist.

Astral Travel Experiences

The Theurgist must acquire an infallible, habitual capacity to project consciously in the Astral Body, at will, at any moment. The clues follow.

1. First Clue — FARAON Lull yourself to sleep vocalizing the mantram in three syllables:
   FFFFFAAAA... RRRRAAAA… OOOOONNNN...
   Lie face up, palms extended without rigidity on the bed, knees bent, soles resting on the bed, the whole body relaxed limb by limb; breathe deeply while vocalizing. Before lying down, make the sign of the Microcosmic Star: arms raised until the palms touch above the head, then extended laterally into a horizontal Cross with the body, then the forearms crossed over the chest with fingertips reaching the front of the shoulders — the clue Jesus used studying in the Pyramids of Kephren. Master Huiracocha advised burning an aromatic incense, or simply perfuming the room.
2. Second Clue — TAI RE RE RE
   TAAAAAAIIIIIIIII

   REEEEEEEE... REEEEEEEEE... REEEEEEEE…
   TAI is sung strongly accented on the A, in a deep tone; the three repetitions of RE are given a ringing, melodious, prolonged E, in a higher tone than TAI, the R pronounced simply, not vibrated. When falling asleep, at the precise moment of transition, rise from the bed without hesitation, doubt or reasoning — instinctively, like a bird taking flight.

   As printed: the three repeated REs are given as REEEEEEEE... REEEEEEEEE... REEEEEEEE… — eight, nine, then eight E's. Quoted exactly; not evened out.

3. Third Clue — the Sound of Anahat Within the cerebrum resounds the "Subtle Voice" — the Song of the Cricket, the hissing of the Serpent, the Voice of Brahma, in ten tonalities. The mind must become calm (not calmed) and silent (not silenced) — the difference between a mind that has comprehended thought is useless, and one forced quiet by violence. When the mind achieves that natural silence, the student can hear the Sound of the Cricket and should rise from the bed at once, instinctively, heading for the Temples of the White Lodge or anywhere in the Universe.
4. Fourth Clue — the letter S Lull yourself to sleep vocalizing, like a peaceful and sweet hiss:
   SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
   This lets the Subtle Voice, the Sound of Anahat, resound in the brain at will, permitting conscious exit in the Astral Body.
5. Fifth Clue — LA and RA The lunar atoms of the seminal system (left ganglionic cord) resound with LA; the solar atoms (right cord) with RA. Lull yourself to sleep mentally vocalizing:
   LAAAAAAAAAA... RAAAAAAAAA...
   LAAAAAAAAAA... RAAAAAAAAA...
   This spins the solar and lunar atoms like an electric whirlwind, producing the Anahat Sound loud enough to escape the Physical Body consciously.
6. Sixth Clue — the Peyotl The Peyotl, or Jiculi — the cactus Master Huiracocha describes in his "Rosicrucian Novel" — awakens clairvoyance instantly in whoever chews it, permitting conscious Astral travel. It is a Sacred Plant of the Grand White Lodge, found only in San Luis Potosi or Chihuahua among the Tarahumara Indians, and used by the Masters of the Temple of Chapultepec for urgent astral journeys.
7. Seventh Clue — the Guardian Angel Every disciple is assisted by a Guru, the Guardian Angel. Before the exercise, invoke the Master's help; pray to the Internal God to call the Guru in the Sacred Language. In the Amazon jungles and the Putumayo grows a plant the text names "Vague," which the Machis of the tribes take by infusion mixed with "Guarumo" to travel in the Astral; taken daily it installs the faculty permanently, after which the plant is no longer needed.

   As printed: the plant is named "Vague" — almost certainly the vine known elsewhere as Yagé (Ayahuasca); quoted as the page has it.

Special Clue: "Discernment"

During the vigil state, at every beautiful or curious detail — a sunset, a gathering of friends — ask: Am I in the Astral Body? Am I travelling out of the Physical Body? Then attempt a small jump, a hop upward, meaning to float. Floating confirms the Astral Body; the Law of Levitation reigns in the Internal Worlds where the Law of Gravity reigns in the Physical. Every such moment, repeated daily in the vigil state, records itself in the Subconscious until it triggers automatically during sleep — which is exactly what carried Juan, mid-conversation with friends who laughed him off, into the discovery that he and they were all already dreaming.

On returning to the Physical Body, the student should not move before performing a retrospective exercise to recover where he traveled and what he learned — motion agitates the Astral Body and scatters the memory.

Special Exercises

Clairvoyance — the Retrospective Exercise

Sunk in profound meditation, recall in reverse: today's last incidents, then yesterday's, then the day before, back through the last fifteen days, the last month, the month before, the year before, always retrospectively, as one reviewing a book from the last page to the first without skipping any. The first seven years of life resist the most, but every incident of infancy is kept in the "Subconscious Pocket," reachable only in the act of falling asleep — combine the exercise with sleep, reviewing year by year back to birth, and then reach for the last instant of the past reincarnation.

As printed: the mantram is given twice in two lines with two different letter-counts — first RRRRRAAAAA... OOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM (five R, five A, six O, ten M), then, as "they should be vocalized," RAAAAAAAA... OMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM (one R, eight A, fifteen M). Both are quoted exactly; the text does not reconcile them.

The student who relives his past reincarnations graduates as a Clairvoyant, able to study the complete history of the Earth and its Races in the Memory of Nature. This exercise spins the Frontal Chakra.

Clairaudience and special mantram

Clairaudience is the "Occult Ear," developed with:

Sunk in meditation, vocalize while lulling yourself to sleep, then listen for the voices of distant friends — so the "Internal Ear" awakens.

Another mantram helps acquire Clairvoyance:

Vocalization: open the mouth properly for the A, round it for the O, close it with the M, each vowel prolonged. CHI is sustained long on the I. VA is prolonged on the A. TUN! is pronounced with force so the T knocks on the U, the U held a long time, the N given a ringing resonance. The final E alone is prolonged as long as possible:

In AUM, the A rises in tone and the tone lowers through UM; the rest of the mantram is pitched lower than UM.

Special exercise for the Heart Chakra

The most profound meditation and prayer for this chakra is the Our Father: a well-prayed Our Father is equivalent to one hour of meditation, so pray for one hour. To pray is to converse with God — submerged in profound drowsiness, meditate on the meaning of each phrase, mentally talking with Him, and the Chakra of the Heart will awaken.

Special exercise for the Solar Plexus

Seated comfortably, face toward the East, imagine in the distance an immense golden Cross emitting blue and golden rays that reach the Solar Plexus at the navel; feel those rays bathing the Plexus with light while vocalizing, for half an hour daily, in a semi-deep tone:

Telepathy develops; and once the Solar Plexus is developed, the Frontal Chakra floods with splendor and fire, and the Clairvoyant perceives every sparkling shade and thought-form afloat in the Superior Worlds.

Special exercise, the Internal Worlds

To perceive clairvoyantly, urgently, whatever exists on any Plane, sink into profound internal meditation while vocalizing, each vowel prolonged:

Concentration, Meditation and Supreme Adoration — the three steps of initiation — together with the Mantram, make Authentic Theurgists, and lead to the Samadhi.

Light and Darkness

Every Temple of Light has its double, a Temple of Darkness. The Tenebrous Ones attack in dreams, in the vigil state, by Black Magic, psychic obsession, enmity, illness, vice, the misuse of culture, false prophets, and "Elementaries." What follows is how the Master teaches defending against each.

The Mantric Song against seduction in dreams

The Angel Aroch revealed a song for personal defense, sung before sleep:

Belilin... Belilin... Belilin...
Amphora of Salvation.
I would like to be near your;
Materialism has no power near me.
Belilin... Belilin... Belilin...

Sung with all one's love and sentiment, this also defends against temptation in the vigil state — and the man accustomed to daily Sexual Magic finds nocturnal emissions ended entirely.

Symptoms and Theurgic therapy — bewitchment by dolls

The bewitched patient feels great anguish, palpitations, depression, piercing pains in the brain and temples. The patient sits before a table with a white cloth, a Christ, a glass of water and a lit candle; the Thaumaturgist and any friends or relatives present must hold sincere, strong faith. The Grand Masters of Light are invoked in a loud voice:

"Powers of the kingdom, be ye under my left foot and in my right hand!
Glory and Eternity, take me by the two shoulders, and direct me in the paths of victory!

Mercy and Justice, be ye the equilibrium and splendor of my life!
Intelligence and Wisdom, crown me!

Spirits of Malchuth, lead me betwixt the two pillars upon which rests the whole edifice of the Temple!

Angels of Netsach and Hod, establish me upon the cubic stone of Jesod!

Then, with all the spiritual strength of a profound and confident faith, the Theurgist recites:

In the name of Raphael, begone before Elial, Samgabiel!

Conjuration of the Seven of Solomon the Sage

As printed: the same conjuration names the angel Samgabiel next to Raphael and Sanagabril two lines later next to Zachariel — and blesses "in the name of Eloah" here while naming the same power "Elvah" a few lines on. Both spellings of each are quoted exactly, side by side, as the book has them.

Beside the patient, a brazier of red-hot coals; the Theurgist makes fast, vigorous magnetic passes with the right hand over the sick organs, casting the loosened harmful fluids into the coals. Salt and alcohol are set on a plate, the salt prepared beforehand with:

In isto sale sit sapientia, et ab omni corruptione servet mentes nostros et corpora nostra, per Hochmael et in viitute Ruach-Hochmael, recedant ab isto fantasmata hylae ut sit sal coelestis, sal terrae et terris salis, ut nutrieturbos triturans et addat spei nostrae cornua auri volantis. AMEN.

Exorcism of Salt

As printed: the Latin is irregular in several places — viitute for virtute, nutrieturbos where the grammar seems to want two or three words — quoted exactly, not corrected.

Fire is then applied to the alcohol so it burns together with the salt, and the Invocation of Solomon is prayed in that instant. Once the ceremony ends, the patient drinks the water from the table, the sacred medicines now in it. Saint Thomas is cited for using Sage and Rue against spells, as a drink and burned as incense.

Spots, poisoning, and the Yellow Water

Bewitchment can leave the flesh marked with black spots that doctors never trace to a cause; the ritual above heals them too, over exactly six months of daily, constant work. Where a malignant substance is suspected, give one spoonful of olive oil daily on an empty stomach, followed an hour later by an infusion of male apazote ("holy herb" or "pico"). In serious cases, purge with the lima bean of Saint Ignatius, a very drastic almond, on an empty stomach.

The stomach can also be cleansed with "Yellow Water": fill a one-liter yellow bottle (or several) with water, add one gram of yellow vegetable aniline per bottle — the kind used to dye candies and All Saints' Day bread, not mineral aniline — and cover the bottles two hours under direct sun. The patient drinks one glass every hour, the treatment kept up for a long time.

Funerary substances leave a patient cadaverous, spectral, thin to the bone, with a ball that moves and turns constantly in the stomach — Yellow Water heals this too. A two-year-old girl whose relatives had unknowingly contaminated her with graveyard fluids after a burial was cured, where doctors failed, with nine baths of milk boiled with mint, over nine days.

The Evil Eye

Some carry a terrible hypnotic force; a child they look at can die. Symptoms: great black circles under the eyes, fever, vomiting, diarrhea. The Theurgist makes magnetic passes over the whole body, especially head and face, imagining the harmful fluids drawn out and hurled into well-lit charcoal — reciting, simultaneously, the Conjuration of the Seven of the Wise King Solomon. The Evil Eye is prevented with small gold rings on a child's fingers, bracelets of legitimate coral, or jet.

The Magical Circle

Drawn for defense, interrupted in its trajectory by the Seal of Solomon — the Ternary of Light (the Internal Christ: Father, Son, Holy Spirit) against the Ternary of Darkness (the triune Black Dragon, the "Psychological I," the three traitors of Hiram Abiff). Every man should decapitate this Medusa with the Flaming Sword of Perseus. The disciple forms the Circle mentally, before sleep or whenever needed.

Dissolving enmities

Lie down, relax every muscle, and fall asleep concentrating on the enemy's heart, imagined as a Tabernacle storing infinite love. Deposit there a picture of yourself, filled with love. Then look between that enemy's eyebrows and deposit the same picture, filled with intense love, in their mind. The love must be real, not feigned. If harm continues regardless, work with the maguey.

The Elemental of the Maguey

Find a maguey in the countryside outside the city. With a small stick, draw a circle around it, right to left, about eight spans wide. Bless the maguey and beg its Elemental to travel to the enemy and disintegrate their evil thoughts. Cut a piece of the leaf with a knife, hold it in both hands, and with imperious will order the Elemental's supreme obedience — to stay at the enemy's side disintegrating their ill will — while pronouncing:

Each letter is given a bell-like resonance. The enemy becomes a friend — but the fundamental principle in all these exercises is to profoundly and wholeheartedly love.

Vices, culture, false prophets

The Tenebrous Ones exploit liquor, drugs and fornication to sever a disciple from the Path — up to three small glasses of beer are tolerated, a fourth violates the Law. Theatres and Cinemas are named directly as Temples of Black Magic in practice, since a pornographic scene or a double-meaning line creates a living, conscious "mental demon" in the Mental Plane with which the spectator fornicates in sleep, producing wet dreams; disciples should not attend Cinematographic Halls. Against the luciferic force some women carry unknowingly, the Sacred Clue is the Our Father, prayed with fervor and great willpower. Every Prophet who advises ejaculating the Seminal Liquor is a false Prophet, at the orders of the Black Lodge: "By their fruits, ye will know them."

Elementaries

Women who spill their Seminal Liquor engender Incubi; men who ejaculate engender Succubi — the Incubi masculine, the Succubi feminine, both living off the Vital Body of the one who created them and inciting a repeat of the act. They, and the Phantasmatas and the Dragon-larva that invades the beds of prostitutes, are all disintegrated with asafoetida hurled onto red-hot coals, and with sulphur worn in the shoes, whose etheric vapors disintegrate them further.

Obsessed and possessed

Mediums of Spiritualism, like the obsessed of the Gospel, are besieged by larvae from the lower Astral and by demons. Recited before the sufferer:

Conjuration of the Four

The Conjuration of the Seven of King Solomon may also be said, as written in the "Esoteric Treatise of Theurgy." Aloe Vera and Rue may be burned on red-hot coals before the sick person, to the same effect as the preceding chapter. The Pentagon of Solomon is drawn in charcoal on the threshold of the door — its superior angle directed inward, the two opposing angles outward — and the Tenebrous Ones are ordered, "In the name of the Christ, by the Power of the Christ, by the Majesty of the Christ, to abandon the body of the victim."

Enmities and vices, continued

The disciple who cannot moderate himself against induced enmity fails and distances himself from the Path — the remedy is the clue of dissolving enmity already given in Chapter X. Vices and the misuse of the intellect are named again as tools the Tenebrous Ones use to sever a disciple from Light, met by listening to one's own heart and one's own Internal God.

The Lit Forge of Vulcan

Man came out of Eden through the door of Sex, and only through that door can he enter again. Max Heindel's Sign of the Infinite — the Holy Eight — is confirmed by the Great Master Hilariux IX: its two circles are Sex and the Brain, and where they meet, the Heart. The struggle of a human life is Brain against Sex, Sex against Brain, and — more painful still — Heart against Heart.

The Holy Eight is also Ida and Pingala, the two ganglionic cords that coil the spinal medulla into the Caduceus of Mercury — Fire rising through one, Water through the other, meeting in the Ninth Sphere to form the Sign of the Infinite. Master Hilariux IX teaches that tracing this Sign on the Frontal Chakra while meditating on the Sacred Order of Tibet lets the student leave the body consciously; after sufficient testing, the "Arcane A.Z.F." is delivered "mouth to ear."

In the Ninth Sphere — Sex — is the Lit Forge of Vulcan, where Mars re-tempers his sword to conquer the heart of Venus, Hermes cleans the Augean Stables of the Soul with Sacred Fire, and Perseus cuts off the head of Medusa with the Flaming Sword, delivering it to Minerva. Only there can the Venusian Initiation, absolute purification, and the decapitation of the "I" be achieved. "Narrow is the door and narrow the path that leads to Light" — and that Door, that Path, the chapter insists, is Sex, practiced as Sexual Magic rather than celibacy: the Vestals of the ancient Temples were true initiated virgins, not, as the ill-intentioned have called them, sacred prostitutes.

Buddha, Hermes, Rama, Zoroaster, Krishna, Jesus and Moses all had to descend to the Ninth Sphere — the human being spends nine months in the maternal cloister, and Humanity spent Nine Ages in the womb of Rea, Cibeles, Isis.

The Akash Is Sound, It Is Verb

Everything returns to Ether, and beyond Ether is the Akash — the blue spiritual essence that fills the Infinite Space. The Purans are right: the attribute of Akash is Sound, and the Akash is the fundamental agent of every theurgic operation — the same Kundalini, the Anima Mundi, a coiled Serpent awakened only through Sexual Magic.

The mantram INVIA

The Great Hierophants of ancient Egypt, wanting to visit the "Garden of Delights," submerged themselves in profound meditation grasping in the right hand an almond known as "Deer's Eye," and pronounced:

The Elemental of the almond answers, placing the body in the "Jinn" state; when the body begins to inflate or swell from the feet up, the Hierophant rises, filled with faith, and submerges himself in the Garden of Delights. A Great Master of "Jinn" named OGUARA attends the call of whoever invokes him for this.

Furious dogs are frightened away with the mantram SUA, or with PAS! Donkeys respond to the vowel O. Repeating the word CHIN several times summons pigs. In times of drought in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia, the Arawak indians gather and imitate the singing of frogs, and rain falls for their agriculture.

(Master of Masters, there is only one: the CHRIST, Perfect Multiple Unity. However, every person who incarnates him is a true Master).

(The words of the student should be filled with infinite love, with infinite sweetness, with infinite harmony and infinite peace. Because arrhythmic words although they are not vulgar, arc also offensive and destructive. Every word heavy with anger, and every ironic word is a murderous dagger that hurts the conscience of fellowmen in the World of the Mind.)

(Those who attempt the elevation of themselves and who, at least, desire to learn to leave their body consciously in the Astral Body, who covet the acquisition of the capacity to travel in the Mental Body who decide to learn to consciously move in the World of the pure Spirit, should govern their tongue).

Well, in this effigy the intimate relationships are perceived that exist between the Verb and Sexual Magic. When the man is fornicating, his tongue speaks evil. Defamation, murmurings, calumny are born out of a sinful tongue... No one has the right to judge anyone. No one has the right to condemn anyone! No one has the right to condemn anyone! And no one is worth more than anyone else!)

(The brothers of the Path should know that no fountain can make both salty and sweet water simultaneously. One cannot be traversing the Path and speaking 5 and bitter words at the same time. One cannot say ineffable words and puverse things simultaneously. Every aggressive word hurls the gnostic student out of the real Path. The mediocre man criticizes other men. The superior man criticizes himself).

DEMOSTRATE WISDOM
13. "Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom."

(Those who become fatuously proud of their wisdom, those who praise themselves, are like the idiot who, on top of a solitary tower, begins to scream and praise himself... Those who are really wise, instead of criticizing their fcllowman, Jet them show by good conversation, their deeds and with humility and meekness, their wisdom).

DIABOLIC WISDOM
14. "But if you have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
15. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual and devilish.
16. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work."

(Envy converts the disciple into a Judas. Generally, the envious one feels more wise than his Master and gets to the point of selling his Master for 30 coins)

The Muladhara Chakra

The blessed Mother Goddess of the World, the Kundalini, is enclosed in the Muladhara Chakra, at the base of the spinal medulla — Sivananda's measure: "Two fingers above the anus and approximately two fingers below the genitals; four fingers wide, it is the space where the Muladhara Chakra is located." As the Kundalini rises it activates all seven chakras in turn; reaching the larynx, it grants the Language of Light; between the eyebrows, Clairvoyance; the pineal gland, Polyvision and Intuition; the root of the nose, the First Initiation of the Greater Mysteries of the Great White Lodge.

Final Word

The Master closes by asking that all the exercises translated and revealed in this book be practiced with the utmost patience, every gesture of impatience set aside — with Faith, Love, Hope and Charity.
