The explanation card from the Mystery of the Fire card set. Its title line, Sephiroth, Hebrew letter and hour (the First Hour of Apollonius) are taken from his consulting lines (Tarot and Kabalah, chapters 86 and 96), and its Transcendent Axiom is his, in another translation; its Elements of Prediction come from the card set, not from his books. His own element of prediction is printed in Part Eight.

About this booklet read the foreword
Every word here is his. Each passage was cut out of the book it belongs to by reference and carries that book
and the paragraph it came from, so anything on this page can be found again in the source.
This is the tenth card of the Tarot: a wheel turning between two serpents, Hermanubis rising on its right and
Typhon falling on its left, and above it the Sphinx. The booklet follows the card first; then the wheel of Samsara
and the two laws, evolution and involution, that are its axis; then its turns: the 108 lives, the descent at their
end, and the three thousand turns, of which he says “The Wheel of Samsara revolves 3,000 times”; then Return,
Reincarnation and Transmigration, which he keeps apart.
Then the way off the wheel. Of it he says “Only through the Great Death are we able to escape from the great wheel of suffering”, and
“Only by means of the Arcanum A.Z.F. do we liberate ourselves from the Wheel of Samsara.”
Then the number ten and the circle with the point in the centre, for which he says
“the 10 is the Formative Principle of all things”; then the ten Sephiroth as he teaches them under this card:
“The 10 Sephiroth are within us”; then the Course’s lesson on the lunar and the solar consciousness;
then the consulting card, with his own element of prediction; and last the practice he gives with it, the
Course’s direct key: “The disciple will concentrate in the heart chakra where the Cosmic Divine Mother dwells”.
Two of his tables, the places of the Sephiroth in the body (Tarot and Kabalah, chapter 10) and the
Manual’s table of their names, are drawn as diagrams rather than printed as scanned cells.

4 passages
ITwo Serpents are found in the waters of life
The card is described figure by figure: a solar and a lunar serpent in the waters of life, the wheel of births and deaths between them, Hermanubis rising on the right and Typhon falling on the left. The same wheel is then named the cosmogenic wheel of Ezekiel, where the opposites fight and the whole secret of the Tree of Knowledge is enclosed.
Two Serpents are found in the waters of life: the positive, Solar Serpent which cured the Israelites in the desert; and the negative, lunar Serpent, the Tempting Serpent of Eden, that of the lunar bodies, the bodies of sin. In the middle section is the Wheel of Fortune, or the Wheel of Samsara; the wheel of births and deaths. On the right side arises Hermanubis, evolving; to the left descends Typhoon Baphomet in involution.

The card
The painted card of the Mystery of the Fire card set, with his own description from passages 1, 5 and 6 set beside each figure; every label is his.
ESOTERIC MEANING OF THE ARCANUM In Arcanum number 10 we find the Wheel of Destiny, the cosmogenic wheel of Ezekiel. Within this wheel we find the battle of the opposites, Hermanubis on the right, Typhon on the left. This is the wheel of ages, it is the Wheel of Fortune, of Reincarnation and of Karma; the terrible Wheel of Retribution - above the Wheel is the mystery of the Sphinx. In the Wheel of Antithesis the two Serpents are in mutual combat. Within this Wheel is enclosed the whole secret of the Tree of Knowledge. The four rivers of Paradise flow from a single source. One of these flows through the dense forest of the sun, watering the Philosophical Earth of the gold of light. The other, tenebrous and murky, circulates through the kingdom of the abyss. Light and Darkness; White Magic and Black, are in mutual combat. Eros and Anteros, Cain and Abel live within us in intense struggle, until, discovering the mystery of the Sphinx, we take up the Flaming Sword. We then liberate ourselves from the wheel of ages.
2Tarot and Kabalah, 1978also in Return and Reincarnation, The Law of Opposites, The Two Serpents
Life waves descend afterwards, involuting towards the interior of the planetary organism to go down through the animal and plant scales returning down to the mineral kingdom. The wheel of SAMSARA turns; on the right side evoluting Anubis ascends, on the left involuting Typhon descends.
3The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution, Return and Reincarnation
In this lesson we are going to study the tenth Arcanum of the Tarot. It is necessary to analyze the cosmogenic wheel of Ezekiel. On this wheel we find the battle of antitheses. Hermanubis ascends the right side of the fatal wheel and Typhon descends the left. This is the wheel of the centuries, of reincarnations, and of Karma. Atop the wheel is the mystery of the Sphinx, clutching the flaming sword between his lion claws.

IIThe Sphinx, in equilibrium above the Wheel
Above the wheel sits the Sphinx, Mother Nature and Elemental Intercessor, made of the five elements. Its crown of nine metal points stands for the Ninth Sphere and the work in the forge of Vulcan.
The Wheel of Samsara revolves 3,000 times; after this, the Essence, having passed through many purifications and sufferings returns to the Absolute, but without Self-Realisation. In the upper part of the card, the Sphinx, in equilibrium above the Wheel, represents Mother Nature. The Sphinx is the Elemental Intercessor of the Blessed Mother Goddess of the World. In it we will find represented the five elements: WATER AIR EARTH FIRE ETHER the face of man. the wings of the eagle. the feet of the ox. the claws of the lion. the staff.
5Tarot and Kabalah, 1978also in Elemental Magic, Return and Reincarnation, The Human Soul
Above the Wheel of the Arcane 10 we see a Sphinx adorned with a crown of nine metal tips. Such an Egyptian figure obviously cannot be encountered either on the right or situated on the left of the great wheel.

Part Two — The Arcane Ten, the Wheel of Retribution
9 passages
IThe Wheel of Samsara rotates incessantly
This physical world is the kingdom of Samsara, and the ego comes and goes on a wheel that never stops and never turns backward. Saints and wicked alike turn with it, and even the merits of the self bring new births.
This physical world is the valley of bitterness, the kingdom of Malkuth, the kingdom of Samsara. The Wheel of Samsara rotates incessantly and the ego comes and goes, disincarnates and incarnates, always suffering, always searching without finding. The Arcane Ten, the Wheel of Retribution, is terrible; the whole world is a slave of this fatal wheel of the centuries.
8Aztec Christic Magic, 1973also in Malkuth, Suffering
12. The wheel of fortune turns unceasingly, and the fire of hate burns the riches of the wicked. 13. In this way is the Law fulfilled.
9Christ Will, 1959
At the break of the new Cosmic Day, following the profound night, the Son, the Triad, Horus (the Divine Spirit of each one), emanates from Himself His essence, His mystic principles, and the Wheel of Samsara with the clear purpose of acquiring Diamond Soul. A how great the joy of Horns upon acquiring Diamond Soul! He is then absorbed into His Divine Mother, and She fuses with the Father to form a single diamantine flame, a God of splendorous interior beauty.
10Tarot and Kabalah, 1978also in Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted
We are talking unquestionably about the wheel of Samsara, which rotates eternally. All of us, without any exceptions, have rotated many times with this great wheel and if continuous movement is not interrupted, it is due exclusively to the infinite quantity of dispensable elements.
11Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973
With this saying, I want to emphasize the news that we incessantly rotated through successive eternities on the wheel of the Archangel Hariton, that is, on the extraordinary wheel of Samsara.
12Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973
The chakra of Samsara does not turn in the reverse direction. Is that understood? Question: Venerable Master, there exists a belief among those who understand these laws, relating to certain species of animals and we would like an explanation only about the concrete case of crows, rats and other species that are more or less repugnant? Answer: With great pleasure I will answer this question from the audience; without a doubt, there are repugnant creatures of nature that attest to a marked involution. The ancient Egyptians for example, hated rats and it is obvious that the latter are found in a state of frank involution; another case is the state of crows and the latter although they feed on death, because of the fact that they unfold in the Ray of Saturn, they possess certain marvelous powers that indicate evolution.
13Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973
The great Hindu Avatar never said that the chakra of Samsara turns in the reverse direction, that the wheel of the Archangel Hariton processes itself in the reverse, stopping its progress to turn counterclockwise.
14Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973also in Return and Reincarnation
Ladies and gentlemen, the wheel of the Arcane 10 of the Tarot always follows its course, it never turns back.
15Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973
The Great Reality is the Great Reality, the Tality. The saints and the perverse ones revolve within the great Wheel of Samsara. Therefore, they are very far from the Tality. Nevertheless, we must be very careful with the psychic aggregate of self-merits. The psychic aggregate of self-merits causes us to be newly born in Heaven or on Earth. The psychic aggregate of self-merits removes us far away from the Tality.

IIThe fundamental mechanical axis of Nature
Evolution and involution are set out as twin laws present in every natural process, in the plant, the creature, the planet and the civilisation. Together they form the silver axis on which the wheel turns, though neither of them leads to Liberation.
From the strictly academic point of view the word EVOLUTION means: development, construction, progression, improvement, advance, edification, dignification, etc. Making a clear, orthodox and purely grammatical approach: the term Involution signifies inverse progression, retrogression, destruction, degeneration, decadence, etc.
17The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution
Obviously it is urgent to emphasize the transcendental idea that the Law of Antithesis is coexistent with any crude natural process. This concept of content is absolutely, unimpeachable, unassailable and irrefutable. Specific examples: day and night, light and darkness, construction and destruction, increase and decrease, birth and death, etc...
18The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971also in The Law of Opposites, The Law of Polarities, The Law of the Pendulum
The exclusion of any of these two aforementioned Laws - EVOLUTION and INVOLUTION - would give rise to static, quiescent, radical paralysis of natural mechanisms.
19The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution, The Law of Opposites
To deny then, any of these two decrees in fact signifies a fall into barbarism... There is EVOLUTION in the plant which germinates, develops and grows. There is INVOLUTION in the plant which gets old and slowly decreases until it becomes kindling. EVOLUTION exists in every organism which gestates, is born and grows.
20The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution
INVOLUTION exists in every creature which expires and dies.
21The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution
There is EVOLUTION in every cosmic oneness which emerges from chaos; there is INVOLUTION in every planet in a state of consumption signalled to become a moon, a corpse...
22The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution
There is Evolution in every ascending civilization; there is involution in any descending culture...
23The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution
It is evident that both the afore-mentioned Laws constitute the fundamental mechanical axis of Nature.
24The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution, The Mechanical Man
The laws of evolution and of involution constitute the mechanical axis of all nature, the silver axis of the wheel of SAMSARA.
25Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution
The axis of the wheel
The two laws as the axis of the wheel, from passages 15, 20, 21, 23, 25 and 27. Evolution is set on the right and involution on the left as on the card (passage 1); the arrows are ours.
We have never denied the laws of evolution and of involution; we only clarify them. The evolving and involutive processes correspond exactly to the great wheel of SAMSARA. Such processes could not repeat themselves infinitely in the world of Spirit, because this would immediately mean, perpetual slavery.
26Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution
Evolution and its twin sister involution are two laws which process simultaneously in everything that is created; they constitute the mechanical axis of nature, but they never take us to Liberation; they form the Wheel of Samsara.

IIILife flows in waves which rotate with the Arcane 10
Waves of life climb from the mineral to the humanoid and then sink back into the planet, and after each humanoid epoch the wheel of the tenth arcanum must turn. Any new ascent from the centre of the earth requires the Second Death, and teachings that ignore the Tarot's law of the wheel lead people into error.
I knew well that the Wheel of Samsara turns unceasingly in an evolutionary and involutionary way and that Essences, after passing through the intellectual animal kingdom, descend millions of times to the horrific precipice to eliminate the subjective elements of perception. However, by no means did I long for more abysmal suffering and that is why I was well disposed to make the best of my new cycle of rational existences. By this time the civilization of the aforementioned planet had reached it's peak; the inhabitants of that world had ships, spaceships, gigantic ultra modern cities, powerful industries and commerce, all kinds of universities etc, unfortunately there was no coordination whatsoever with the uneasiness of the spirit.
28The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution, Return and Reincarnation
Unquestionably without such a basic axis, the wheel of natural mechanisms would not be able to turn. Life flows in waves which rotate with the Arcane 10 of the Tarot... Essential waves start their EVOLUTION in the mineral kingdom, proceed with the plant state, continue on the animal scale and finally reach the level of the intellectual humanoid...
29The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution
After each humanoid epoch, and in accordance with the Laws of Time, Space and Motion, the Wheel of the Arcane 10 of the TAROT inevitably turns; and so it is manifestly clear that the involutive waves of life descend into the interior of the planetary organism only to reascend later on...
30The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution
In matters of Esotericism, orientalism, occultism, etc, scholars have full freedom to write whatever they please; however they should not forget the Golden Book, I mean the "Standard measure": "The Tarot"...
31The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971
No one can with impunity violate the Laws of the TAROT without getting what they deserve; remember that the Law of KATANCIA, the Superior Karma exists... There is responsibility in words... THE DOGMA OF EVOLUTION breaks the cosmic Laws of the Arcane 10 of the TAROT, violates the desiderata of the Golden Book... leads many people into error. Obviously every erudite occultist, all esoterists, must always call on the Standard measures, the Tarot, if they do not want to fall into the absurd.
32The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution, The Law of Karma
After each humanoid epoch, according to the laws of time, space and movement, the wheel of the Arcanum 10 of the Tarot inevitably turns. Then, it is obvious and manifest that the surges of involuting life descend into the mineral kingdom submerged towards the centre of planetary stability, to ascend again evolutively somewhat later on. Any new evolutive re-ascension from the terrestrial centre of gravity requires the previous disintegration of the Ego. This is the Second Death.

Part Three — The three thousand turns of the wheel
7 passages
IAt the end of 108 lives
Each soul in the human state is given 108 lives, as many as the beads of the Buddha's necklace, and one turn of the wheel is completed with them. The Divine Mother tries for Self-realisation all through that cycle, yet the usual end is failure and a descent to the infernal worlds.
The Great Law gives each human being only 108 lives and this reminds us of Buddha’s necklace with its 108 beads. If a person does not know how to take advantage of the 108 beads of Buddha’s necklace, if he does not achieve self-realization in those 108 lives, then he is born in the infernal worlds of nature. Normally, when their time is up, all humans descend to the infernal worlds.
36The Buddha's Necklace, 1967also in Return and Reincarnation
At the end of 108 lives, the wheel has made a complete turn. Whilst it rises we observe evolution through the mineral, vegetable, animal and human kingdoms; on falling, it descends via the same route.
37Tarot and Kabalah, 1978also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution, Return and Reincarnation
The turn of the wheel
One turn of the wheel through the kingdoms as passage 37 gives it, with the 108 lives of passage 36 and the three thousand turns of passage 5 beneath. The 108 small rings on the rim stand for the 108 lives; they and the arrows are ours.
The condition of the intellectual humanoid state is excessively relative and circumstantial.
38The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971
We have been quite justly told that any of the humanoid periods always consist of a hundred and eight existences of both the evolutive and involutive type, more or less alternating.
39The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution
To clarify: to each rational humanoid cycle a hundred and eight lives are assigned which keeps deep strict mathematical harmony with the number of beads which form the necklace of Buddha.
40The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971
Justly, we have been told that any one of the humanoid periods always consists of one hundred and eight lives of evolutive and involutive type that are always processed and repeated, be it in an elevated or in a lower type of spiral.
41The Three Mountains, 1972also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution, Return and Reincarnation
What would become of the Universe if there was no insurmountable obstacle to evil? Obviously, the latter develops infinitely until reigning sovereignly in all spheres. Here it is good to highlight with total meridian clarity, the tremendous reality of the 108 existences assigned to every living essence, to every spiritual divine principle. This comes to remind us of the 108 beads of Buddha’s necklace and the 108 turns that the Hindu Brahaman makes around the sacred cow; it is indubitable that with the last turn he finishes his daily rite; he then introduces the tail of the aforementioned animal in the tumbler of water that he will drink Having understood this, we can continue. It is obvious that the Divine Mother Kundalini, the Igneous Serpent of our magical powers, attempts to achieve our inner self-realization during the course of the 108 existences assigned to each of us. Ostensibly, within such a cycle of successive lives, we have innumerable opportunities for self-realization. To take advantage of them is the indicated thing. Unfortunately, we repeat errors incessantly, and the end result, is customarily failure.

IIDescending within the submerged mineral kingdom
Whoever ends the 108 lives without Self-realisation stops returning to human bodies and involutes into the infradimensions until the Second Death. Freed by the death of the ego, the Essence rises again to the surface and is given a fresh set of 108 existences.
Obviously, only through the death of the ego is the Liberation of the essence made possible; then the latter resurges, it comes to the planetary surface, to the light of the sun, to begin again a new evolving process within the painful wheel of Samsara.
43Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution, The Klipoth
It is clear that with reentry to this state, we are once again assigned 108 existences, that if we do not take advantage of them properly, this will lead us on the descending path of return to the Avernus. In any case, dear brothers, noble ladies, that listen to me, it is good for you to know that each essence, each soul is always assigned 3000 of these cycles of cosmic manifestation.
44Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution, Return and Reincarnation
We have repeated in all these talks, to satiation, that each of you is assigned 108 existences. It is clear that once the cycle of successive lives is ended, if we have not achieved the inner self-realization of our Being, we rotate on the wheel of the Archangel Hariton, descending within the submerged mineral kingdom.
45Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973also in Return and Reincarnation
Everyone who enters the kingdom of the rational homunculi is assigned 108 existences, as we have already stated to satiety, but he who fails, he who does not achieve inner selfrealization within the cycle of existences that are assigned to him, ceases to return or reincorporate in organisms of humanoids and precipitates himself, involuting within the entrails of the earth, in the infradimensions of nature.
46Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution, Return and Reincarnation

IIIThe wheel of Samsara turns three thousand times
Every Monad has three thousand turns of the wheel for its inner Self-realisation, spread over many cosmic days. After the last turn the doors close, and the Monad gathers its Essence back into the Absolute.
To continue with the present chapter, it is necessary to attract the reader's attention with the objective of asserting the following: after the completion of the three thousand periods of the great wheel, any kind of esoteric Self-Realization is impossible. In other words, it is necessary to declare the inescapable fact that every Monad is mathematically assigned three thousand CYCLES for it's profound inner SelfRealization. It is without doubt that after the last turn of the wheel the doors are closed. When this happens, the Monad, the immortal Spark, our real Being, gathers up it's Essence and its principles to be definitively absorbed into the bosom of that which has no name. (The Supreme Parabrahatman).

Those sparks can give no excuse, since the three thousand turns of the wheel are always carried out through many cosmic days and in various universal scenarios which offer infinite possibilities.
49The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971also in Return and Reincarnation
The original pristine purity of the Essence is restored at the centre of planetary stability. The wheel of Samsara turns three thousand times. If we really yearn for the final liberation, it really is imperative and urgent to understand this, to capture its deep significance.
50The Three Mountains, 1972also in Return and Reincarnation, The Human Soul
It is ostensible that the final failure is only for the essences, for the monads that did not achieve self realization in the 3000 cycles or periods of existences. Better said, in the 3000 turns of the wheel of Samsara, since on arriving at the last of these, as I have said many times the doors are shut.
51Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973also in Return and Reincarnation

IVSparks of the Great Blaze
Monads that fail all three thousand cycles keep divine happiness but have no Self-consciousness, and they return to the Universal Spirit as simple elementals of Nature. A few, out of the many, become gods.
It is obvious that the failed Monads who have not achieved Mastery, possess divine Happiness, but do not have legitimate Self-Consciousness; they are only sparks of the Great Blaze, they cannot become flames...
53The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 1971also in Return and Reincarnation, The Being Is the Being
The enjoyment of these Monads is very well merited, because the Essence of each of them has known the horrors of the abyss and turned three thousand times in the wheel of Samsara.
54The Three Mountains, 1972
Undoubtedly, any essence that has passed through the three thousand cycles of manifestation, has also experimented three thousand times the horrors of the abyss and therefore has become better and acquired self-consciousness.
55Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973also in Return and Reincarnation
Confusion should be avoided in what we have been saying; it is obvious that of the many, a few aspire to adepthood, to the inner self realization of our Being; unquestionably, these souls transform themselves into true kings of the universe and into terribly divine gods. The masses, after the three thousand cycles of manifestation, return to the Universal Spirit of life as merely happy elementals.
56Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973also in Return and Reincarnation, Yearning for the Being
In total, there are three thousand cycles. Those souls that in three thousand eons or periods of time do not attain Mastery, after the last Second Death, in the cycle of three thousand, will submerge forever within the bosom of the Universal Spirit of Life, and become simple elementals of Nature. Not Mahatmas, not Hierophants, not Gurus, not Gods, not Angels, but simple elementals of Nature.

VThe tragic wheel which symbolises the Law of Ancient Return
Under this arcanum Return, Reincarnation and Transmigration are kept apart. The ego returns and repeats the same dramas by the Law of Recurrence, which is Karma; Reincarnation belongs only to the Devas; and Transmigration carries the Essence down through the submerged kingdoms and up again.
‘When death arrives, the unique thing that continues is the “I,” the legion of”I’s.” The ego or the “I” returns in order to satisfy its desires. Death is the return to conception. This is the wheel of the Arcane Ten.
58Aztec Christic Magic, 1973also in The Many I’s
The Arcanum number 10 of the Tarot is the Wheel of Fortune, is the same wheel of Samsara, the tragic wheel which symbolises the Law of Ancient Return. One must differentiate between Return, Reincarnation, and Transmigration, which are completely different. RETURN Worlds, heavens, the stars, the four seasons return to their original point of life. Throughout the 108 lives of each human being, in accordance with the 108 beads in the necklace of Buddha, the ego returns. When disincarnation occurs, some egos enter the infernal worlds and others return to a new womb; the ego is composed of many entities, some reincorporate in certain plant and animal organisms, and others, in human wombs. And thus, the ego comes to a new organism. Within those egos returns the trapped part of the Buddhata (Essence), which is the Divine and fundamental part. Indubitably, many parts of us live in animal organisms.
59Tarot and Kabalah, 1978also in Return and Reincarnation, The Many I’s
Upon returning to this vale of tears, the same is repeated due to the Law of Recurrence; that is, that everything happens again the same as in other lives. The Law of Return is intimately linked, associated, with the Law of Recurrence. That is to say, everything happens again just as it happened, with the addition of its good or bad consequences. The same dramas are repeated; this is called Karma. REINCARNATION Is the descent of Divinity to a man. The incarnation of Vishnu in a man is what is known as an Avatar. Vishnu is really the Christ, the Solar Logos. For this reason in India reincarnation was called the Act of Vishnu. Krishna spoke about this saying: “Only the Devas reincarnate”. TRANSMIGRATION Is when the Being begins to constitute part of the mineral kingdom, after a great length of time evolves to the vegetable kingdom, and later over a period of eternities, rises to the human state where it is assigned 108 lives. If at the end of the 108 lives it has not Self-Realised, involution commences in the submerged kingdoms of the planet Earth. The animaloid, vegetabloid and mineraloid states are recapitulated. In the profundities of the abyss, in the Atomic Infernos of nature, the Essence or Buddhata is purified, is liberated by the disintegration of the ego. And so, the Essence freed after eternities ascends, beginning once again in the mineral kingdom, then the vegetable, the animal, until rising to the human state previously lost. This is the Law of Transmigration of Souls.

ITo liberate oneself it is necessary to die
Physical death leaves the ego in place; only the death of the "I" and the incarnation of the Soul take a person off the wheel. Malkuth is called a terrible filter whose refuse goes to the abyss, and the passages count how few come through, which is named the tragedy of the Arcane Ten.
‘Whosoever wants to liberate himself from the ‘Wheel of Samsara has to dissolve the “I” and incarnate his soul. This labor is very difficult and those who achieve it are very rare. Indeed, the kingdom of Malkuth is a terrible filter. The refuse of this filter is what is common and current and this refuse is swallowed up by the Abyss. The gold, the chosen one, the true human being, the angel, is Malkuth’s conception. The struggle is indeed severe.

Christ said: “From a thousand who search for me, one finds me, from a thousand who find me, one follows me and from a thousand who follow me, one is mine”. This is the tragedy of the Arcane Ten of Kabbalah.
63Aztec Christic Magic, 1973
In fact, the object of the automatic repetition of events is to make us aware of our own errors; that is the law. Unfortunately we can do nothing. Everything is repeated at the correct time, just as the hands of the clock go round. To change external circumstances we have to change internally by forming Soul and Spirit, that is to say processing BEING. Only the BEING can create. Only the BEING can change all things. Whoever wants to possess BEING has to transmute his sexual, emotional, mental, passionate, motor, sentimental, etc. energies. We have to transmute the Base Metals, that is to say, our defects, into the purest Gold of the Spirit. Only in this way will we possess Soul and Spirit. The PLURALIZED EGO has to die. It is urgent that the BEING be born within us. Life in the cellular world is a tremendous repetition of events and we can only liberate ourselves from this tragic wheel of fate by dissolving the EGO on the basis of supreme Understanding and SANCTITY and by forming SOUL and SPIRIT. It is a horrible vicious circle; the Wheel of SAMSARA.
64The Book of the Dead, 1965also in Malkuth, Psychological Death, The Law of Causality, The Law of Destiny, The Law of Recurrence
The Solar forces depart from the Law of Return, from the Law of Recurrence. All of this forms part of Arcanum number 10; whilst we do not dissolve the ego, we must continue Returning.
65Tarot and Kabalah, 1978also in Return and Reincarnation, The Law of Recurrence
To liberate oneself it is necessary to die; the death of the ego is indispensable; the n one ceases “to return”.
66Tarot and Kabalah, 1978also in Psychological Death, Return and Reincarnation, The Law of Recurrence
Only through the Great Death are we able to escape from the great wheel of suffering of this world which is completely impermanent and painful. We must pass beyond the affection we feel for our loved ones; this is something which costs work.
67Tarot and Kabalah, 1978also in Return and Reincarnation, Suffering
This world is terribly painful; the only thing which is worthwhile in living is to Self-Realise because all is futile.
68Tarot and Kabalah, 1978
It is not superfluous to emphasize the transcendental and transcending idea that it is not possible to arrive at the great reality as long as we turn incessantly with the wheel of Samsara.
69Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution
The Gods from nature had worked very much in order to create self-cognizant beings. The Gods have performed difficult experiments within the laboratories of nature. However, it is good to know that the struggle in order to create true human beings has not finished yet. Still, the human being, or the so called human, has to discharge a lot of elements that will be present in the zoological gardens of the future. The kingdom of Malkuth is a terrible filter; whosoever wants to be free of this fatal wheel of Samsara has to dissolve the ego and to incarnate their Soul. Those who achieve it are very rare. The common and ordinary are the refuse of this filter and are swallowed by the abyss.
70The Mayan Mysteries, 1977also in Malkuth, The Human Soul
Death does not resolve the fatal problem of the ego. Only the death of the ‘I’ can resolve the problem of human pain, but the ‘I’ loves itself too much and does not want to die in any way. As long as the ‘I’ exists, the wheel of Samsara, the fatal wheel of human tragedy will turn.

IIThen only Osiris remains
Isis, the Divine Mother, is the one who puts the ego to death, and Cain, the lunar mind, must be beheaded with the lunar body. What is left is Osiris, the Cosmic Christ, with the Essence resting in his heart, free of the wheel of lives and deaths.
If one studies the “Egyptian Book of the Dead”, one sees that it is Isis who is called to put the ego to death. Without the Divine Mother the death of the ego is impossible. The Essence is freed with the death of the ego and becomes lost in Osiris, the Divine Christ. The Essence resuscitates in the heart of Osiris. Where will our feelings, our attachment to things, and our desires be? All that will no longer exist.
72Tarot and Kabalah, 1978also in Greed, Prayers to the Divine Mother, Psychological Death, Return and Reincarnation, The Human Soul, Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted
We have to die in order to free ourselves from the tragic wheel; we have to incinerate the seeds so that the ego may not revive, and bathe in the waters of Lethe and Eunoe; to be confirmed in the Light; to kill Cain who is the lunar mind. That mind is useless, it must be eliminated, it must be put to death because it is the Animal.
73Tarot and Kabalah, 1978also in Psychological Death, Return and Reincarnation
For that reason, the ancients saw in the Moon the figure of Cain; the mind was called Cain, and it was the hunter. The mind goes about hunting wealth, social position, fame. The rogues use this mind in order to succeed; they consider themselves to be powerful sages with that well-cultivated lunar animal mind. There exists a figure of a decapitated Angel; the Angel of Samothrace. That sculpture means that after the ego has been dissolved, after having burned the seeds, having bathed and been confirmed in the Light etc., one must pass through the decapitation. The death of the lunar body and the lunar mind is lacking. These two bodies which constitute the Cain are the two subjective elements, those which must be decapitated. Then only Osiris remains, and the Essence which rests in the heart of Osiris. One then has the right to wear the Asp (the serpent) upon the brow, and as is said in the “Book of the Dead”, one may now be seated as the other Osiris are seated and to wear the Serpent upon the forehead. One now has the Verb, has triumphed, one’s powers are not utilised in an egoistic manner.
74Tarot and Kabalah, 1978also in The Mind, The Solar Bodies, The Words He Uses
Osiris is the Cosmic Christ. An Osirified man now has the Cosmic Christ, now no longer has subjective elements, has now freed himself from that tragic wheel of lives and deaths wherein is rooted the cause of pain.
75Tarot and Kabalah, 1978also in Return and Reincarnation, The Intimate Christ
The most violent struggle in order to attain the elimination of the ego is with the terrible tempting serpent which is the Abominable Kundartiguador organ, the tail of Satan. This is the horrible Python which Apollo wounded with his arrows, it is the antithesis of the Divine Mother, dense and frightening matter, which fights against us.

77Tarot and Kabalah, 1978

IIIOnly by means of the Arcanum A.Z.F. do we liberate ourselves
The way out of the Wheel of Samsara is the Arcanum A.Z.F. and the revolution of the consciousness, which sets aside both evolution and involution. The Sphinx, placed apart from the two sides of the wheel, points to this path, and a lecture answer explains what leaving the continuous movement means.
Only by means of the Arcanum A.Z.F. do we liberate ourselves from the Wheel of Samsara.

83Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973
Answer: I hear the question from the audience and I hasten to answer with great pleasure. Distinguished gentleman, it is urgent that you comprehend what the continuous movement of the wheel of Samsara is in everyone and each of its aspects.
84Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma, 1973
The Final Liberation is obtained only by way of the revolution of the Consciousness. The Wheel of Samsara rotates with the laws of evolution and involution.
85Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983also in Evolution, Involution, Revolution
Arcanum 10: The Wheel of Fortune. This is the Wheel of Samsara. Reincarnation! The incessant transmutation of the sexual force produces the anahata sound. With this sound we can go out in the astral body. When we want to listen to this mystical sound, we first vocalize the mantram “La,” alternating it with the mantram “Ra.” This is done mentally. When the sound is intense we can tranquilly go out in our astral body. And with the Arcanum A.Z.F., we free ourselves from evolution. For the man who has absolutely christified himself, evolution totally ceases to exist.

IVThe Master supports himself at the edge of an abyss
In the tenth chamber of Christ Will the wheel of fortune turns unceasingly and the Master stands at the edge of a precipice where even angels can fall. The chamber names sexual alchemy with the woman as the condition for going forward without faltering.

Part Five — The 10 is the Formative Principle of all things
10 passages
IThe circle with a point in the centre
Ten is the Kingdom and the Formative Root of the laws of Nature, because the universe is a product of sexual energy. The circle with the point in it is the Lingam-Yoni; drawn out as a line and set beside the circle, it gives the 10 and the mantram of the Divine Mother.
Kabalistically Arcanum number 10 is called the Kingdom or Vital Centre, it is called the Formative Root of all the Laws of Nature and the Cosmos.
94Tarot and Kabalah, 1978
To form means to conceive intellectually and to later draw or construct. For this reason the 10 is the Formative Principle of all things.
95Tarot and Kabalah, 1978
The circle with a point in the centre represents the mysteries of the Lingam-Yoni. The Circle is the Absolute, the Eternal Feminine Principle. It is the Yoni from which all universes are born. The point is the Lingam, the Eternal Masculine Principle. The circle with a point is the Macrocosmos. It is through the mysteries of the Lingam-Yoni that universes can be created.
96Tarot and Kabalah, 1978also in Ain, Ain Soph, Ain Soph Aur, The Law of Polarities
The circle is receptive; the point, projective. If the point is elongated, prolonged, it becomes a line, divides the circle in two. With the point in movement we then have the Lingam-Yoni, the two sexes, masculine and feminine.
97Tarot and Kabalah, 1978also in The Law of Polarities
Removing the line from within the circle we then have the number 10 and also the mantram of the Divine Mother.
98Tarot and Kabalah, 1978
The circle and the ten
The point in the circle becoming the ten, in his steps from passages 96 to 98, with the IO named in passage 113 and the three principles of passage 101. The drawing of each step is ours.
The whole universe is a product of sexual energy; without the power of creative energy the universe could not be formed. Without creative sexual energy there is no universe; for this reason the 10 is the Formative Principle of all Nature. The circle with the point in the centre can also be expressed as follows:
99Tarot and Kabalah, 1978
The number 10 teaches us many things. Bearing in mind the circle which is the symbol of the Divine Mother, we can also say that the following symbols are in essence the same.
100Tarot and Kabalah, 1978
It is said that number 10 is the base, the Kingdom, and that the person who obeys the mandates of this Arcanum sees the return of all things. If the student knows how to obey he will see the return of all things, will be elevated to illumination and will be able to see the ebb and flow of all things because he is an Illuminate. The Kabalah says that we see things in accordance with the extent to which we begin to obey the “10”. In this number “10” are the Principles: CREATION CONSERVATION RENEWAL Here is the Word in its triple aspect. The point within the circle which in movement becomes a line, can take the following forms:
101Tarot and Kabalah, 1978also in Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted
All of these dates are very interesting. Day 4 is the 4 Elements. In the 10 is the secret of the Lingam-Yoni. It represents the 10 Sephiroth, and the circle with the line dividing it in half, the mystery of sex.
102Tarot and Kabalah, 1978also in The Intimate Christ
From the esoteric point of view, Arcanum number 10 is really transcendental. The circle with a dot in the centre is a totally phallic symbol; the point elongated, becomes a line the Lingam. If we place the line to the left, it forms the number 10; in this number are to be found all of the secrets of the Lingam-Yoni; the laws of irradiation and absorption. It is not possible to attain Intimate Self-Realisation without having worked in the Sahaja Maithuna.

IIThe number 10 is the wheel of Destiny
Tens in scripture and in vision are read as the wheel of the tenth arcanum: ten days, a tenth part of Babylon, the ten horns of the Beast that rise from the abyss and fall back. Ten is also the wheel of comprehension and the number by which Xochipilli works.
10. Two plus eight equals ten. Ten is the wheel of fortune that turns unceasingly. 11. Ten is the wheel of comprehension.
104Christ Will, 1959
This angel told to all of us the following truth: “We are going to save the people of this street in ten days”. We understood that this street is the Street of the just ones, one of the streets of this great Babylon. The ten days symbolize the Wheel of the Centuries, which is the Wheel of Reincarnation and Karma.
105The Aquarian Message, 1960
“And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.” A tenth part of this great Babylon will fall. Thus, this is how the wheel of destiny will turn and this Great Harlot (humanity) will sink into the abyss.
106The Aquarian Message, 1960
The number 10 is the wheel of Destiny, the tenth Arcanum of the Tarot.
107The Aquarian Message, 1960
This beast with seven heads is this fornicating humanity. The ten horns are the wheel of destiny, on which this beast rises up from the abyss and turning, falls again into the abyss.
108The Aquarian Message, 1960
The ten horns of the tragic wheel will ascend and will descend, they will rotate with the wheel of Compensation. These ten horns ascend from the abyss, they impose themselves and command like ten kings, in order to tumble into the abyss when the wheel of Nemesis (Compensation or Samsara) is accomplishing its fatal rotation.
109The Aquarian Message, 1960
The Aztec God Xochipilli, god of happiness, music and dance, is found in Netzah. Xochipilli, the Aztec God, always does his negotiations with the Kabbalistic number Ten; this is the ‘Wheel of fortune, the ‘Wheel of reincarnations and karma, the terrific Wheel of retribution. Whosoever wants to invoke this Master must first of all wash their hands with pure water.
110Aztec Christic Magic, 1973also in Aztec Christic Magic, Netzach, The Law of Karma
The times of the end have already come, and we are in their midst. The Ten Days have already expired (the wheel of the centuries, the Arcanum number 10).
111Tarot and Kabalah, 1978also in The Lover
As for the ten horns, it is not superfluous to remember the wheel of the Arcanum 10 of the Tarot, the fatal wheel of Samsara. That is why it is said that the Great Beast rises from the Abyss and goes to perdition. In front of the Great Beast lies the false prophet: the Ego, the two-horned beast which speaks marvels about the Antichrist.

Part Six — The 10 Sephiroth of the Kabalah
5 passages
IThe 10 Sephiroth are within us
From IO come the ten emanations of Prakriti, the Sephiroth, which lie in every human being and must be incarnated. Each has its point of contact in the physical body; they are atoms of a spiritual kind, masculine and feminine.
We have already seen that the 10 comes from the abovementioned symbol, as also the “IO”, which is the mantram of the Divine Mother, giving rise also to the 10 emanations of Prakriti or that is, the 10 Sephiroth of the Kabalah. The 10 Sephiroth are: 1. KETHER: 2. CHOCHMAH 3. BINAH: the Father, the Logos. the Son, Triune. the Holy Spirit, the Sephirothic Crown. This is the first triangle.
113Tarot and Kabalah, 1978also in The Eternal Mother Space, Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted
After the Sephirothic Crown comes: 4. CHESED: 5. GEBURAH: Atman, the Intimus, our Divine Being the Feminine Spiritual Soul, the Buddhi. This is the superlative consciousness of the Being, is the principle of Justice, the Law. When conscience is spoken of, it is Buddhi, the Elohim, who says: “Fight for me in the name of TE-TRA-GRAM-MA-TON”.
114Tarot and Kabalah, 1978also in The Consciousness
The 10 Sephiroth are within us, they underlie all organic and inorganic matter. Every human being has them, however it is necessary to incarnate them. The Sephiroth once Self-Realised shine within Atman like precious gems. The Sephiroth form regions where Angels, Cherubim, Powers etc., live. The Sephiroth have their points of relationship with the physical body:
115Tarot and Kabalah, 1978
His table, drawn: the Sephiroth in the body

These are the points of contact of the Sephiroth with the physical body. The Sephiroth are atomic; they are not atoms of carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, they are atoms of a Spiritual nature which belong to occult esoteric and spiritual chemistry.
116Tarot and Kabalah, 1978
Sephiroth are masculine, and there exist Sephirah, which are feminine. Deep space, the magnetic fields etc., constitute the neutral zone. This one will not find in books, it must be discovered for oneself. I speak to you from the direct mystical point of view.

IVThere are really twelve Sephiroth
The Course counts twelve, adding the Ain Soph and the Abyss, and shows them as interpenetrating spheres. Malkuth is the filter from which one departs to either, and all ten reduce to three tables and come from Sephira, the Divine Mother in the heart.
Ten Sephiroth are spoken of. However, there are really twelve Sephiroth. The Ain Soph is the eleventh and its dark antithesis, the Abyss, is the twelfth Sephiroth.
140Esoteric Course of Kabbalah, 1969
The twelve Sephiroth are twelve spheres or universal regions that mutually penetrate and interpenetrate each other without mixing together. The twelve spheres gravitate around the central atom of the Infinity Sign. The solar humanity develops within these twelve spheres. We have already said that the sign of the Infinite is found at the center of the Earth, in its heart. The ten Sephiroth of universal vibration emanate from the Ain Soph, which is the microcosmic star that guides our interior. The true Being of our Being. The ten Sephiroth emerge from the Ain Soph, in this way: First: Kether, the Ancient of Days. Second: Chokmah, the realm of Wisdom. Third: Binah, Divine Intelligence. Fourth: Chesed, the world of the Innermost. Fifth: Geburah, the world of the Soul-Consciousness; the region of severity and justice. Sixth: Tiphereth, the causal world; the realm of will, equilibrium, and beauty. Seventh: Netzach, the realm of victory; the world of the human mind—all those who attain liberation from the four bodies of sin are Buddhas. Eighth: Hod, splendor, the region of the astral body. Ninth: Jesod, the foundation, sex; the etheric plane. Tenth: Malkuth, the Kingdom in general, the physical world. Malkuth is a supreme filter—from this region we depart for the Ain Soph or for the Abyss; that is the Law. The Sephiroth are atomic; the ten Sephiroth can be reduced to three tables. First: The table of Quanta: radiant energy that comes from the Sun. Second: The Periodic Table of the atomic weights of the elements of Nature. Third: The table of the molecular weights of compounds; this is Jacob’s ladder that goes from Earth to Heaven.
141Esoteric Course of Kabbalah, 1969also in Geburah, Hod, Malkuth, Netzach, The Hermit, Tiphereth, Yesod
All the worlds of cosmic consciousness are reduced to three tables. All ten known Sephiroth come from Sephira, the Divine Mother who resides in the Heart Temple.

Part Seven — The solar consciousness is born in us
7 passages
IThe Sinning Adam is memory
The lunar consciousness is an unfaithful memory, the "I" that dies, is reborn and grows harder with experience. A change of consciousness, the death of the Adam of Sin, gives birth to the solar consciousness that frees one from the wheel of the centuries, and Initiation is said to belong only to the Innermost.
The lunar consciousness sleeps deeply; this is the result of a memory that is unfaithful. The human being is only conscious of what he remembers; no one is conscious of the things that one does not remember. The Sinning Adam is memory. He is the “I” that dies and is reborn; this is the lunar consciousness.
143Esoteric Course of Kabbalah, 1969also in Fascination, Identification, The Consciousness, The “I” Is Memory
Clairvoyants affirm that the “I” is composed of the atoms of the secret enemy. It is a tenebrous remnant of our lunar past—the larva of the threshold.
144Esoteric Course of Kabbalah, 1969
Our Gnostic disciples must comprehend that this type of lunar consciousness signifies something to be conscious of and some one who is conscious of it. The lunar consciousness is subject to all kinds of limitations, qualifications, restrictions, reactions, etc. It is the product of matter, the result of one’s racial heredity, family heredity, habits, customs, prejudices, desires, fears, cravings, etc. The Adam of Sin, with his lunar consciousness reincarnates (“so-called” reincarnation), to gain experience in the school of life. These experiences complicate and strengthen the Adam of Sin. The innocent humanity of Eden is now the terrible and perverse humanity of the “atomic bomb” and the “hydrogen bomb”.
145Esoteric Course of Kabbalah, 1969
Over time and with experiences innocent little children turn into clever old men, distrustful, malicious, miserly and fearful; that is the lunar consciousness. The devil is the devil, and he does not ever perfect himself. The great master H.P. Blavatsky stated, “Make hard thy Soul against the snares of self; deserve for it the name of Diamond Soul.” There are changes in consciousness and changes of consciousness. All of the processes of consciousness give rise to changes in consciousness. Changes in consciousness are superficial and fruitless. We need a change of consciousness. When we dissolve the lunar consciousness the solar consciousness is born in us.
146Esoteric Course of Kabbalah, 1969also in The Consciousness
It is necessary for the Adam of Sin to die in us so that the Adam Christ is born within. When we free the solar electronic matter enclosed in the seminal atoms, we brandish the flaming sword.
147Esoteric Course of Kabbalah, 1969also in Christmas
Perseus descends to the fiery forge of Vulcan in order to decapitate the Adam of Sin (Medusa) with his flaming sword. John the Baptist is decapitated and Christ crucified in order to save the world. The slaughtering of the innocent children (Initiates) is the repetition of Initiation. The solar consciousness is then born in us. The solar consciousness contains in itself the knower, the knowledge, and the thing known—three in one, one in three. The solar consciousness is omnipresent, omnipenetrating. The solar consciousness liberates man from the fatal wheel of the centuries.

Initiation Avoid those who sell Initiations. Remember, good devotee, that Initiation is your own life. “If you want initiation, write it upon a staff.” He who has understanding, let him understand, for here, there is wisdom. The path of initiation is represented by the life, passion, death, resurrection and ascension of our adorable Savior. Remember that the “I” does not receive Initiations. Do not boast about Initiation. Do not say, “I have so many Initiations,” “I have these and those Powers,” because that is arrogance and vanity. Only the Innermost receives Initiations. You, unfortunate man, are no more than the sinning shadow of the one who has never sinned. Endeavor to die in yourself more and more, so that in you the Son of Man is born.

IIThe wheel of the centuries turns in periods of forty-two years
Uranus rules the masculine and feminine phases of sex in an 84-year cycle split into two halves. That rhythm accounts for the ripeness for the Great Work around the age of forty.
Sexual Cycles Uranus is eight times the size of Venus; it governs the masculine and feminine phases of sex; it has a sexual cycle of 84 years. This cycle is divided into two 42 year periods; one masculine and positive, the other feminine and negative. Uranus is oriented in such a way that it always has one of its two poles pointed towards the Sun.
150Esoteric Course of Kabbalah, 1969also in The Law of Polarities
For 42 years Uranus has its positive pole pointing towards the Sun, and for the other 42 years it has its negative pole presented to the Sun. We will now comprehend where the alternating stimulus of the sexes comes from—the marvelous biorhythm of 84 years. The wheel of the centuries turns in periods of forty-two years. During one half of the cycle the masculine sex asserts itself and during the other half the female sex asserts itself. The sexual cycle of Uranus is in accordance with the average human life span. This means that when we have reached middle age the antithesis of the sexual cycle during which we were born vibrates within us. At that time a feeling of sexual stimulation occurs. We will now comprehend why 40 year old men and women are truly ripe and mature to work in the Great Work and why sexual feelings are more vigorous at that age.

The wheel of the centuries
The sexual cycle of Uranus as he gives it in passages 150 and 151, drawn as one wheel of eighty-four years in two halves; the wheel is ours.

IIILight and consciousness are two phenomena of one and the same thing
As planets absorb the Christ consciousness of their sun they too begin to shine, and in the system of Antares every planet has become a sun.
Light and Consciousness Light and consciousness are two phenomena of one and the same thing; the greater the degree of Christic consciousness, the greater the degree of light. The “Christ Consciousness of the Sun” is gradually being absorbed by the planets… When the planets of our solar system have entirely absorbed the divine solar consciousness, then life, light and heat will no longer occupy only the astronomic position of the sun; at that time the whole solar system will shine as a Sun.
152Esoteric Course of Kabbalah, 1969
That is the case with the gigantic sun Antares, one million times more rarefied than our sun. In the solar system of Antares the light is not concentrated only in the sun; in fact, each one of the planets has become a sun. The humanities of those planets enjoy solar consciousness; the result of that happiness is the splendors of the solar system of Antares.

When we ask for something, many times the Angels respond by showing us a clock. The disciple must take note of the time on the clock; that is the clock of destiny. The answer is to be found in the hour. The answer is always given to one in the esoteric allegory of the clock. One must learn to understand the clock.

Part Nine — To study directly the Sephiroth of the Kabbalah

IThe disciple will concentrate in the heart chakra
The closing practice is the Course's direct key: concentration in the heart, a plea to Sephira to take the disciple out of the body into the sephirothic regions, and the mantrams LIFAROS LIGORIA LICANTO LIFAROS, built on I.A.O., vocalised mentally while falling asleep. On waking, a retrospective exercise recovers what was seen.

A Direct Key for Direct Knowledge It is necessary for our Gnostic disciples to learn how to come out of the physical body in their internal vehicles in full consciousness in order to penetrate into the different sephirothic regions. It is necessary to know directly the twelve spheres of universal vibration where all the beings in the Universe live and develop.
162Esoteric Course of Kabbalah, 1969also in The Keys of Astral Travel

The disciple will concentrate in the heart chakra where the Cosmic Divine Mother dwells, supplicating Sephira, the mother of the Sephiroth, begging her to draw him out of the body and take him to the various realms of the kingdom in order to study directly the Sephiroth of the Kabbalah. The disciple will pray a lot and meditate on the Divine Mother and vocalize mentally the following kabbalistic mantrams: LIFAROS—LIGORIA—LICANTO—LIFAROS.

Vocalize these mantrams pronouncing syllable by syllable. If you carefully observe the intelligent phonetics of these mantrams, they emphasize the three vowels I.A.O. of the great mysteries.

I.A.O. is hidden and combined in these sacred mantrams of the Kabbalah. The disciple must fall asleep mentally vocalizing these four kabbalistic mantrams. Upon waking up from one’s normal sleep it is necessary to practice a retrospective exercise in order to remember what we saw and heard while dreaming.

Where to practise
The practice is gathered in Part Nine, the Course’s direct key, with the clock of destiny in Part Eight and the way off the wheel in Part Four. These lines only point back to them; each names the passages it rests on.
The aim of the key: to come out of the physical body in full consciousness and study the Sephiroth directly, in their own regions. (162)
Concentration in the heart chakra, where the Divine Mother dwells, supplicating Sephira, the mother of the Sephiroth; much prayer and meditation on the Divine Mother. (163)
The mantrams LIFAROS, LIGORIA, LICANTO, LIFAROS, vocalised mentally, syllable by syllable. (163, 164)
Falling asleep vocalising them, and on waking a retrospective exercise, to remember what was seen and heard. (165)
When the answer to a request comes as a clock: take note of the hour; the answer is in it. (158)
The way off the wheel, in his words: the death of the ego, and the Arcanum A.Z.F. (66, 79)

About this booklet
His words only. 165 passages, gathered from 18 of his books; 43 of them from Tarot and
Kabalah, 24 from The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, 22 from the Manual of Practical
Magic, 20 from Yes, There Is a Hell, a Devil and Karma and 19 from the Esoteric
Course of Kabbalah. Every passage carries its book and the year it was
first printed wherever one is known; the 3 without a year are from volumes the library prints without one. Nothing has been paraphrased, joined or improved, except 25
mends where the printed page plainly reads otherwise: words split in two by the scanner (“indispensa
ble”, “liber ated”), letters misread (“Eveiything”, “utffised”,
“Itimus”), and three of his sub-headings that the scan ran onto the end of the paragraph before them
(SYNTHESIS, Solar Consciousness, The Ten Sephiroth), lifted off.
His chapters on this card. He gives the tenth Arcanum two chapters in Tarot and Kabalah (the card,
the number ten and the ten Sephiroth in chapter 10; Return, Reincarnation and Transmigration and the way off the
wheel in chapter 32), with the consulting card in chapters 86 and 96; a chapter in the Esoteric Course of
Kabbalah, “Arcanum X”; a chapter of numbered verses in the Manual of Practical Magic,
“(IOD) THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE”; a chapter in The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, “The Arcane
Ten”; and the tenth chamber of the body of Will in Christ Will. Where the Course says what Tarot and
Kabalah says, Tarot and Kabalah is printed; where it says more, the Course is printed.
Two tables drawn, not printed. The places of the Sephiroth in the physical body (Tarot and Kabalah,
chapter 10) and the Manual’s table of the Sephiroth with their names, attributes and bodies came
through the scan as columns of loose cells. They are not printed as passages; each is drawn as a diagram in its
section, every label in his words, read from the cells of his table.
Shared with other booklets. 99 of the 165 passages also stand in another booklet, and each is
marked “also in” where it stands: 36 in Return and Reincarnation, 30 in Evolution, Involution, Revolution, and
65 in other works. 66 are printed here alone.
No sentence of his is cut in half. Each range was extended until his sentence closed; 48 passages
run over more than one paragraph, and 23 were set aside because the same teaching stands in another passage
here. His sub-headings (Esoteric Meaning of the Arcanum, Initiation, Sexual Cycles, Light and Consciousness, A Direct
Key for Direct Knowledge) stand at the head of the passage they introduce.
No editor’s notes were owed. The doctrine check was run over every passage and every line of ours.
The way off the wheel he gives with this card is the Arcanum A.Z.F. and the death of the ego. Where the tenth chamber
of Christ Will speaks of a serpent ascending, it is in that same work: “provided that you intensely
practice Sexual Magic with the WOMAN”.
Gathered and checked by the editor. The tenth booklet of The Major Arcana, one for each of the
twenty-two.
