Every word here is his. Nothing has been paraphrased or improved. Each passage was cut out of the book it belongs to by reference, and each carries that book and the paragraph it came from, so anything on this page can be found again in the source. Many of these passages also stand in other works of the shelf, chiefly Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted, and are gathered here for the one subject.

The first part is the Mother who suffers for her child within us: “…the ‘Woman Serpent’, tremendously suffers within our own selves.” “Each one of us makes his Divine Mother Kundalini suffer tremendously.”

The second part is the Virgin weeping at the foot of the cross, who is our own Divine Mother: “Marah, Mary, weeps at the foot of the cross, with her heart pierced with seven daggers.”

The third part is the hatred the darkness bears her: “The sons of the abyss hate the Divine Mother.”

4 passages

IIOur Divine Mother must work and even suffer very much

In a vision, his Divine Mother appears in mourning like a Mater Dolorosa over the dead sinning Adam. Further passages hold that no ego is dissolved at once without her labour and suffering, and that the mother of an Initiate who is to incarnate the Verb suffers the pains of childbirth in the superior worlds.

I wanted to resuscitate something, an effigy which was symbolizing my own sinning Adam, who was lying down as a cadaver within the muddy waters of the river.

Runic Magic, 1969

Then, my Divine Mother, dressed with a mourning suit, like a Mater Dolorosa, told me with Her voice filled with infinite love, “This one is already well dead, I have nothing more to take from him.”

Runic Magic, 1969 also in Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted

No “I” is instantaneously dissolved. Our Divine Mother must work and even suffer very much before achieving the annihilation of any “I.”

Treatise of Revolutionary Psychology, 1975 also in Suffering, The Science of Meditation, Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted

When an Initiate is prepared to incarnate the Verb, his mother appears pregnant in the superior worlds and suffers the pains of childbirth. Jesus, on the Cross, said his mother, “Mother, behold your son”, and he pointed to John. He then said to John, his disciple, “Behold your mother”. And from that hour forth, his disciple, John, took her as his mother. The word John is broken down as follows: I.E.O.U.A.N, the Verb, the Dragon of Wisdom. Truly, she is the Mother of the Verb. And the woman officiates at the altar of the blessed Mother Goddess of the World. Now, brethren, pray very much to your Divine Mother Kundalini, whose venerable priestess is your wife. Pray and meditate thus: Invocation “O Isis! Mother of the Cosmos, root of love, trunk, bud, leaf, flower and seed of all that exists. Naturalizing force, we conjure you. We call the Queen of Space and of the Night and, kissing her loving eyes, drinking the dew from her lips, breathing the sweet aroma of her body, we exclaim: O Nut! You, eternal Seity of heaven; you who are the primordial Soul, you who are that which was and that which will be. Isis, whose veil no mortal has raised, when you are beneath the radiant stars of the profound nocturnal sky of the desert, with purity of heart and in the flame of the serpent we call you!”

Part Two — Our Virgin Mother weeping at the foot of the Sexual Cross

6 passages

IMarah, Mary, weeps at the foot of the cross

The Virgin who weeps at the foot of the cross, her heart pierced by seven daggers, is identified here as the Serpent within us, Isis, Marah, Stella Maris, the particular Divine Mother of each one and wife of the Holy Spirit. A short line from the Virgin of Carmel adds that she weeps for all women and watches over all human beings.

The Most Holy Virgin of Carmel weeps for all women, and she watches over all human beings.

Book of the Virgin of Carmel, 1952

The crown formed of an Asp, the Thermuthis, belongs to Isis, she is our particular and individual Divine Mother Kundalini, because each one of us has our own.

Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978 also in Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted

The Serpent as the feminine Deity within us is the wife of the Holy Spirit; our Virgin Mother weeping at the foot of the Sexual Cross, her heart pierced by 7 daggers.

Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978 also in Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted

The serpent, as a feminine deity in us, is the Holy Ghost’s spouse, our Virgin Mother, who cries at the foot of the sexual cross, with her heart pierced by seven daggers. Stella Mans, the Star of the Sea, Marah, Mary or, more appropriately said, Ram-Jo, the Serpent of Fire that victoriously ascends throughout the adept’s spinal cord, is our own Being — or, rather, His offspring — and the Eagle, the Third Logos, must devour Her. Since a remote night, centuries old, the old sages of the sacred land of the Mayab have always emphasised the snake’s banquet as a transcendental idea. We need to be swallowed by the serpent.

The Secret Doctrine of Anahuac, 1974 also in Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted

Marah, Mary, as Divine Mother of the Adept, is Stella Mans, the ‘Virgin of the Sea’, Devi Kundalini.

Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 also in The Eternal Mother Space

Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983 also in Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted

Part Three — The sons of the abyss hate the Divine Mother

4 passages

IThe tenebrous hate the Great Mother

These passages state that the dark ones and the sons of the abyss hate the Virgin and the Divine Mother and violently attack whoever invokes or names her in their regions. Whoever hates or profanes her energy is said to sink into the abyss and the second death.

The tenebrous hate the Virgin, and they furiously attack anyone who dares to name her in their regions.

The Aquarian Message, 1960 also in Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted

The Virgin Mother of the world is the Kundalini. The tenebrous hate the Great Mother, who, when converted into a serpent of fire, rises through the medullar canal.

The Aquarian Message, 1960 also in Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted

Both edifices are splendid. In both places Truth and Justice are well spoken of. Order and culture rule in both temples. Sanctity and Love are spoken of in both temples. This will surprise the reader, and he will ask himself: How is it possible that Sanctity and Love are spoken of in the temples of evil? Please dear reader, do not be disconcerted. Remember brethren, that the Knights of the Black Grail, are wolves dressed in sheeps clothing. The adepts of the left hand like to ejaculate their Christic semen, that is why they are black magicians. Their philosophy is the philosophy of fatality. All that is good, for them is evil. All that is evil, for them is good. For them the doctrine of Jahve is divine. For them the doctrine of the Christ is diabolic. The lords of Darkness hate the Christ. The sons of the abyss hate the Divine Mother. In their regions they violently attack all those who invoke the Divine Mother or her beloved Son.

The Perfect Matrimony, 1950 (ed. 1966)

Sexual energy is an emanation of the Divine Mother. Whoever renounces the Cosmic Mother, whoever hates the Divine Mother, whoever profanes the energy of the Divine Mother, shall be sub merged in the abyss forever. There he will have to pass through the second death.

The Perfect Matrimony, 1950 (ed. 1966) also in Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted

How this was made. All fifty-two books were extracted (73,105 paragraphs, 2,157,671 words) and swept for the Mother’s suffering: her names beside suffering, weeping, tears, sorrow or anguish; the seven daggers and the foot of the cross; the aggregates who hate her; the anguished Mother; the slime and the ocean of pain. His whole teaching in Pistis Sophia Unveiled on the Woman-Serpent who suffers within us was offered as one run, and the paragraph either side of every other passage. That returned 101 candidate paragraphs in 18 books, 40 of them by name. Every candidate was read twice, by independent readers working from a written brief. The two passes agreed on whether to print 97.0% of the time and on the class 97.0%, and a third reader, who saw neither verdict, settled the 3 they did not. 28 were judged printable, and where his sentence ran across paragraphs the pieces were joined into one passage, 2 fewer in all, so 26 are printed here. The rest are recorded with the reason each was set aside.

What was set aside. 35 stood next to a passage on the subject but were about something else, 12 belong to another work already built (suffering in general, the Mother’s work on the ego), 16 were a false friend, 3 named the subject only in passing, and 2 were narrative or ceremony told for itself. 3 more were judged and not printed.

No word of his is changed. No mend was needed and nothing was lifted out of a passage.

No sentence of his is cut in half. Each range was extended against the corpus until his sentence closed, and 3 ranges run over more than one paragraph.

17 passages also stand in a finished work, and every one is marked where it stands, most of them in Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted (16), then Suffering (2) and The Science of Meditation (2). Shared passages print here too. An overlap is allowed wherever the teaching needs it. What is not allowed is an overlap a reader cannot see.

Checked five ways. Every reader’s note was proved to sit on the passage as it is actually printed. Every printed pair was compared as sequences. Every ragged edge was repaired or named. And every passage was checked word for word against a fresh extraction of its book.

A work of The Divine Mother, the third family of the shelf, and its fifth work: the Mother who suffers for her child. It wears the family’s lilac mist ground and its outline with the gold hairline inside, in the blue of her mantle.
