Move the body.
Get up and go for a walk. Outside if you can, even just around the block. Let your legs do the work. You don’t have to sort anything out while you walk.

So, this is the advice I give you: never be afraid of anything. Now, I do not want to tell you with this that one does not have to do something, that one should not work, that there is no need to earn money for subsistence or to pay debts, etc. All this has to be done, but without creating problems in the mind. Learn to manage the three brains –the intellectual, the emotional and the motor– and you will see how you change. If there is emotional worry, change the center: put the instinctive-motor brain to work, go out for a walk, go horseback riding, walk at the very least, but do something different and you will see that your vitality will not get exhausted, the physical body will rejuvenate marvelously, etc. That is then the advice I give you.

Give the heart something beautiful.
Put on music you love, something harmonious, and just listen. Or step outside and look at the sky, a tree, the light on things. Let the thinking rest. It will still be there later, and lighter.

His words
So, how should one proceed? By putting the emotional center to work. That is what is interesting, because then the intellectual center rests and like this we forget the problem. And if we want to work with any other center, we would put the instinctive-motor center to work, but this would be different.

If you are intellectually tired, if you have studied a lot, leave the room for a while, take a bike ride, go to a football game, etc., or listen to good music, go out to see a painting exhibition, go to a theater, in short, do something emotional. If we manage those three brains – sometimes the emotional, sometimes the motor, sometimes the intellectual – but in a balanced way, we can assure you that you will acquire wonderful health and you will be able to live a very long life. Remember what I just told you about those Buddhist monks who live up to 300 or 400 years.

Let the body go.
Lie down, or sit in a comfortable chair. Loosen everything from the face down to the feet: forehead, eyes, mouth, neck, arms, hands, belly, legs. Breathe slowly and deeply.

His words
To normalize the motor center, it is advisable to completely relax the body. Start by relaxing the nerves of the brain, the muscles of the face, the corners of the mouth, the neck, the arms, the hands, the trunk, the stomach, the legs, the feet; and breathe deeply and profoundly. The recommended asana or the recommended posture for this relaxation is lying down on one’s bed or to sit in a comfortable armchair. Thus, relaxed and breathing in a rhythmic and deep way, the motor center is under control.

Why this works
What should we do? Solve problems? No, that is not what is needed. Then what? What is needed is to dissolve them. How are they dissolved? Simply, by forgetting them. When someone is worried, go out a little to the countryside and try to be in harmony with all things, with all that is, with all that has been and with all that will be. Forgetting problems is basic. You will tell me that “it is impossible to forget problems”, but it is indeed possible. When one wants to forget them, all he has to do is put any other center of the organic machine to work.

Over there, in Asia, there is a very interesting Buddhist monastery. There, the monks live 400 or 500 years because they know how to manage the intellectual brain, the emotional brain and the motor brain. When they get tired of the intellectual brain, they use the emotional one; when they get tired of the emotional one, they use the motor brain and, in this way, they maintain the energy, they do not exhaust their “vital values”.

As for the intellectual center itself, we have to ignore that process of reasoning and of antithesis. If we remember our own inner Being and we concentrate on our inner God, obviously, we forget all those intellectual processes, the mind remains suspended.
