This is the second book of the Tree of Life, one sphere up from the foot. “Yesod signifies Foundation”, and he means it in every sense he gives it. On the Tree it is the ninth sephirah, the cubic stone on which the two columns of the Temple stand: “That cubic stone also serves as the foundation of the kingdom of Malkuth.” In the human being it is the vital body and it is sex: “Yesod is in the sexual organs.” As a world it is the etheric plane, and he names it plainly: “This Sephira is the Ethereal World, the Eden from the Bible.” And he adds the physics of it, that “time is the fourth dimension”, the coordinate in which that paradise lies.
The first part places Yesod on the Tree: its number, card and triangle, the centre of gravity of the Holy Spirit, and the stone beneath the two columns. The second is Yesod within us, the stone that is sex and the Mercury of the work. The third is its world: the etheric world that is Eden, time as the fourth dimension, and the Earthly Paradise in the fourth coordinate of this planet. The door between them is the one he names: “We came out of Eden through the doors of sex and it is only through those doors that we can enter Eden.”

The first triangle is Logoic; Kether, Chochmah and Binah. The second triangle is Ethic; Chesed, Geburah and Tiphereth. The third triangle is Magic; Netzach, Hod and Jesod. Malchuth, the physical world, is a fallen Sephiroth.

If we analyse the second triangle we find that it is Ethic. Why do we call it “Ethic”? Simply because there ethics, right conduct, predominate. There we know the rigor of the Law; there we come to know good and evil, to know what “good” and “evil” is. This triangle is the world of Pure Spirit, the Hindu Trimurti of Atman, Buddhi and Manas. Obviously the centre of gravity of this triangle is clear to see. It is the Human Soul. That Soul suffers and is the very human part within us — that is — Tiphereth, which coincides with the causal. This triangle is also denominated the Triangle of the Son. We find there that the Cosmic Christ, Chochmah normally manifests through the Human Soul, Tiphereth of the Hebraic Kabalah. The third triangle is very interesting. The Magic triangle is made up of the mind, that is Netzach, the Astral Body or Hod and the Etheric Body, that is to say, Jesod, the basic sexual principle of Universal Life. Why is it called a Magic triangle? Because undoubtedly in the Kingdoms of the Mind, of the Astral, and even of the Kliphos or Infernal worlds is where one exercises High Magic.

Where do we find the centre of gravity of the Magic triangle? Obviously it is found in sex, because it is from here that Birth, Death and Regeneration come. Everything revolves around sex, that is to say, the third triangle has a centre of gravity in sex, or Jesod, which is the force of the Third Logos, sexual potency.

In the second triangle Chochmah, the Cosmic Christ. the Second Logos, has His centre of gravity in the Human Soul, Tiphereth. In the third triangle, Jesod becomes the centre of gravity of the Holy Spirit, the Third Logos. It is through that sexual force that life arises, that the human body arises, and all of the organisms which have life. Malchuth is already the physical world, it could not exist without the presence of sex due to the fact that we are all children of a man and a woman. Thus, Jesod is the foundation of the Third Logos, the centre where the sexual force of the Third Logos gravitates.

And between these two Pillars is the Pillar of Equilibrium, where are found the different levels of consciousness (Kether, Tiphereth, Jesod, Malchuth).

The mind and the astral body are the two columns of the temple, Jakin and Boaz, and both rest on the cubic stone of Jesod, the etheric body, which in turn supports the physical body of Malkuth. The invocation that asks to be established upon that stone follows the teaching.
These two columns of the temple sustain themselves on the cubic stone of Jesod. That cubic stone also serves as the foundation of the kingdom of Malkuth. That cubic stone is the etheric body. Malkuth is the physical body.

Thus, the Intimus with His two Souls, the Divine and the Human, officiates upon His Throne, which is the cerebro-spinal nervous system. He is crowned with the Sephirothic Crown. The Intimus dwells in His Temple. The Temple of the Intimus has two columns; Jakin and Boaz. Jakin is the Mind. Boaz is the Astral Body. The Mind is the Sephiroth Netzach. The Astral is the Sephiroth Hod. These two columns of the Temple are maintained upon the Cubical Stone of Jesod. That cubical stone serves as a foundation of the Kingdom of Malchuth. That cubical stone is the Etheric Body. Malchuth is the Physical Body. Man is thus a complete decade. We have 10 fingers on the hands, 10 Sephiroth and 10 Commandments. When the Ancient of Days has realised the 10 Sephiroth within Himself, He is transformed into Adam-Kadmon, the Celestial Man.

The Hebrew letter Beth expresses the dualism of the two columns of the temple. Jakin is the right-hand column, which is white, the man, the masculine principle and Boaz the black left-hand column, the woman, the feminine principle. Between the two columns ‘J’ and ‘B’ is the Great Arcanum. It is precisely this which many masonic brothers do not understand. The Cubical Stone in its crude state is located between the two columns, and once worked it becomes the Cubical Stone of Jesod; this is none other than Sex, the sephiroth Jesod. One must know the Arcanum, the Maithuna, which is represented by the Chisel of Intelligence and the Mallet of Will.

11. Then after, we meditate in the Astral and Mental bodies, 12. The Astral and Mental bodies are the two columns of the temple which rest upon the cubic stone of Yesod. That cubic stone is the Ethereal body. The disciple has to pass between those two columns of the temple. 13. Those two columns are Jachin and Boaz; one black and the other white.

Introvert yourself more and concentrate, first on your astral body and then on your mental body. The astral and mental bodies are the two columns of the Masonic temples (Yachin and Boaz) which have their foundation in the cubic stone of Yesod, the ethereal body. Here the cubic stone is identified with the Philosophical Stone, the Shemhamphorash stone, the rock of Peter and the Holy Grail, and each time he locates it in sex. Its laws cannot be broken without falling, and a Master measures his Self-Realization at its centre.

Jesod is the sexual organs and the seat of the Holy Spirit, where Shiva and Shakti unite and Tantric knowledge evolves. He calls it Mercury, the creative energy of transmutation, and adds that it is lunar and its work belongs to the night.
Jesod is the Vital, or Etheric Body. Jesod is the foundation of the Third Logos, the centre where the sexual force of the Third Logos gravitates. The sexual forces, the living fount within our physiology, gravitates in Jesod; the Holy Spirit is here. It is necessary to state that if we consider Jesod as a foundation, it is obvious that here the sexual organs are to be found. The Vital Body, that is, the base of biological, physical and chemical activities, is something else again, which is in some manner influenced by Jesod. Nonetheless Jesod is the sexual organs. The Perfumes and Sandals are the symbol of Jesod.

Daath, the Hebrew Sephiroth of mystery is formed by the esoteric conjunction of ShivaShakti, Osiris-Isis, who are perpetually united in Jesod, the Foundation, the Ninth Sephiroth, the Ninth Sphere, sex; but which is hidden by the Mystery of Daath which holds Tantric Knowledge. This knowledge is realised with the Sahaja Maithuna or Sexual Magic, which when correctly used, permits the Intimate SelfRealisation of the Being. It is necessary that we all reflect profoundly, that we comprehend all this in depth. He and She are united in the Cubical Stone of Jesod, which is sex. From the union of He and She arises perfect Tantric Knowledge, with which we may Self-Realise internally in all of the levels of the Being.

We are clearly referring to the work in the Great Work. It is interesting that it should be exactly in the Cubical Stone of Jesod where Shiva and Shakti, Osiris and Isis sexually unite, and it is there precisely where Tantric knowledge is found, without which it is not possible to attain the Intimate Self-Realisation of the Being.

The Cubical Stone of Jesod, located in the creative organs is clearly that metallic soul which results from sexual transmutations. We may call it the Mercury of Secret Philosophy, or speaking in more simple terms, creative energy. This energy is allegorised, or symbolised by the Devil. Thus it is that the Bons are extreme, either they go for the Being or they do not. They work in the interests of Self-Realisation or they decide to remain without SelfRealisation; they must define themselves one way or the other. There, everything is violent, for which reason H.P.Blavatsky judged them to be Black Magicians. However, when one studies the Tantrism of the Bons, one realises that it is white, not black, but white. They transmute the sperm into energy in order to attain deep SelfRealisation. Jesod is lunar, and this we cannot deny. In Gnostic esoterism a woman is shown, a divine ineffable Virgin, dressed in a blue tunic, and standing upon the Moon. One must know how to understand this; that Moon represents the Sephiroth Jesod, which symbolises the sexual force, and the tunic of a blue colour represents the night, during which the Great Mysteries of Life and Death unfold. Only at night does one work with the creative energy of the Third Logos. The work in the Laboratorium of the Holy Spirit must be done in the nocturnal hours. The Sahaja Maithuna must only be practised in the darkness of night, because during the day, the Sun is opposed to generation.

As a world, Yesod is the etheric plane, governed by the Moon and ruled by Jehovah, where the elementals live and the mountains are blue. Humanity left this Eden through the door of sex and can return only through the same door; the vital body is the Vulcan that makes that transmutation possible.
We have arrived at the ninth Arcane, the Hermit of the Tarot, the Sephira Yesod. This Sephira is the Ethereal World, the Eden from the Bible. Such a Sephira is governed by the Moon. The rector of Eden is our Lord Jehovah. It is very interesting to know that Eden is governed by the positive rays of the Moon, while the Abyss obeys the orders of the negative rays from this satellite. The Elohim live in Eden; yet, the terrible and perverse Lucifers live in the Abyss. The innocent elementals of fire, air, water and earth exist in Eden; yet, the demons exist in the Abyss. Behold here the pair of opposites of philosophy.

The ruler of Eden is Lord Jehovah. Lord Jehovah dwells in Eden. Lord Jehovah dwells in the Etheric World because the Etheric World is Eden. The Etheric World is Paradise. Ether is the fifth element of nature. The blue color that we see in the faraway mountains is the ether of Eden. In future times, the Etheric World will become visible and tangible in the air. Tlazolteotl controls the waters of universal life. Tlazolteotl controls the amniotic liquid within which the fetus is gestated. Tlazolteotl controls all the feminine organs related with pregnancy; therefore, Tlazolteotl can precipitate the waters, direct the mechanism of certain organs and manipulate the laws which rule the mechanism of natural parturition. Tlazolteotl lives in Eden; this is the ethereal plane or region of the magnetic fields of Nature. Any mother can invoke the Master Tlazolteotl in the critical moments of parturition. Ask and it shall be given unto you; knock and it shall be open unto you. In Eden the mountains are blue and transparent as the crystal. The sublime beauty of Eden has the same divine blue color.

The Etheric World is the dwelling of the sexual forces. The Etheric World is Eden. We came out of Eden through the doors of sex and it is only through those doors that we can enter Eden. We cannot enter Eden through false doors; we have to enter Eden through the door through which we came out.

The complete development of Kundalini allows us to visit Eden with the etheric body. Eden is an etheric plane, a region of an intense blue colour where only happiness reigns. Those who have learned to Love live in Eden.

The vital body is the architect who elaborates the blood and the semen in the human organism; it is Vulcan who transmutes the seminal liquor into Christic energy. Vulcan exists in the microcosmos and the macrocosmos, in man and in Nature. The Great Vulcan of Nature is Eden; this is the etheric plane.

Beyond length, width and height lies time, the fourth dimension, then eternity and what is beyond both. He places it past the barrier of the speed of light, gives it a temporal surface and a spatial depth, and says the awakened consciousness perceives it.
Beyond all doubt, time is the fourth dimension. The geometry of Euclid is only applicable to the three-dimensional world, but the world has seven dimensions and the fourth is time.

The last passages join the two teachings: Eden, the Promised Land and the Elysian Fields are the fourth dimension of the Earth, where the vital earth, paradisiacal races, magic cities and the temples of the plant families are found.
Obviously, the fourth vertical possesses unusual surprises. Undoubtedly, the Eden of which the Bible speaks is the fourth dimension of Nature itself; the Earthly Paradise is the fourth coordinate. The Elysian Fields, the Promised Land where the rivers of pure water of life flow with milk and honey is, precisely, the fourth dimension of our planet Earth.

How it was made. All fifty-two books in the library were searched for Yesod by every spelling he uses (Yesod, Jesod), for the vital or etheric world, and for the fourth dimension wherever he says what it is or sets it beside the vital world, Eden or the Tattvas. The phrase fourth dimension on its own was not enough, because he uses it in passing, most often for the Jinn state, more than a hundred times. That found 142 candidates in 32 books. Each was read by two readers working apart, who agreed on 128 of them; a third reader, who did not see what either had decided, settled the 14 they did not. 74 paragraphs were judged printable; they make 72 passages, and 66 are printed here.
What was left out, and why. Most of the paragraphs not printed use the fourth dimension or the etheric world in passing while teaching something else. Others belong to other works and stay there: putting the body into the fourth dimension to The Keys of Astral Travel, the Ninth Sphere and the method of transmutation to Alchemy, the vital body and its four ethers as a body of the human being, the rounds of the Earth to The Root Races. Kept whole, not padded. 6 printable passages were set aside when the sections were made, each because another passage in the work gives the same teaching more fully. 27 passages run over more than one paragraph, where his sentence crosses the break. The invocation to the Spirits of Malchuth stands word for word in three books, the Manual of Practical Magic, The Greater Mysteries and Logos, Mantram, Theurgy; it is printed once, from The Greater Mysteries.
What was done to his words. Nothing was paraphrased. The only changes are to the scanning and the setting: words broken at the end of a line and closed up against the corpus; 16 places the scanner damaged, given in their plain reading (Shemhamphorash for Shernhamphorash, Malchuth for Maichuth, He is crowned for He his crowned, life for ilfe, three-dimensional where the hyphen was lost), and one chapter heading set inside the first line of a passage. Each change is recorded with its place in the book in the project notes.
