About this booklet read the foreword

Every word here is his. Each passage was cut out of the book it belongs to by reference and carries that book and the paragraph it came from, so anything on this page can be found again in the source.

This is the sixth card of the Tarot: the disciple standing in the waters of life between two paths, the Medusa to his left and a female Master to his right, while a Hierarch of the Law above aims the arrow of Justice at the path of the left. “One finds that one has to choose one Path or the other.” The booklet follows the card first; then the number six, Vau and Tiphereth; then the Seal of Solomon, for “This Arcanum is expressed in the Seal of Solomon.”, with the three traitors of its lower triangle; then the loving union of man and woman and the alchemical weddings, since “the problem is absolutely sexual”; then the temple of the Sphinx and the Seal of the Living God; then the High Magic of the Manual; then the card in consulting; and last the practices he gives with it.

Of the alchemical weddings he says: “One must be dressed with the wedding garment in order to be able to enter the kingdom of the Heavens.”

50 passages come from Tarot and Kabbalah, 14 from the Esoteric Course of Kabbalah and 25 from the Manual of Practical Magic, among 115 passages from 15 books in 8 parts.

IThe disciple standing in the waters of life

The figures of the sixth card are described one by one: the fallen disciple before the downward triangle, the Medusa on his left, a female Master on his right, and the Hierarch of the Law whose arrow points at the path of the left.

One finds the disciple standing in the waters of life in front of a triangle with the vertex pointing downwards. His left arm is crossed over the right. All of the above signifies that the disciple is fallen; that he feels a greater attraction towards Medusa (the ‘I’) who is located to his left. To his right one finds a female Master.

This Arcanum is called Indecision because the disciple does not know which path to decide upon.

2 Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978

Seated in the upper part is a Hierarch of the Law with a bow taking the form of a triangle with the vertex pointing upwards. He points his arrow at the head of the Medusa, in keeping with the axiom: “The Medusa must be decapitated”.

Each figure presents to the neophyte a different path. The path of the left and the path of the right. The arrow of Justice points against the path of the left.

IIThe human being is found between vice and virtue

Here the arcanum is the man standing between two polarities of the Mother-Space, the Virgin and the Whore, Heva and Lilith, and obliged to choose one path. The dark epochs of fornication and the six lower steps of a Mayan temple are read in the same light.

16. Do you remember, brother of mine, the tenebrous epochs of your life, when you were experiencing in yourself the sixth Arcanum of the Tarot?

5 Igneous Rose, 1954

The sixth Arcanum of the Tarot has the representation of these two polarities of the Great Mother-Space. Let us remember Virtue and Vice, the Virgin and the Whore, Heva the White Moon and Lilith the Black Moon.

6 Runic Magic, 1969 also in The Five Aspects of the Divine Mother, The Law of Polarities, The Two Serpents, Whose Veil No Mortal Has Lifted

ESOTERIC MEANING OF THE ARCANUM The Arcanum six is the Lover of the Tarot, signifying Realisation. The human being is found between vice and virtue, the Virgin, the Whore, Urania-Venus and the Medusa. One finds that one has to choose one Path or the other.

Part Two — Six in the Tarot is the Arcanum of the Lover

9 passages

IThe number 6 has 72 gates on each side

Number six is given its correspondences: Virgo, Venus, the note La, the colour blue, the glands. The 72 Gates and 72 intermediates lead through the Star of Solomon and its twelve rays to the Ninth Sphere, the Unworked Stone and the erotic volition of the six.

To the number 6 corresponds to the sixth constellation, Virgo. The planet is Venus, and the musical note La.

What he gives to the number six in passages 9 and 11, with the sums of passages 12 and 16.

It is related with the Islets of Langerhans located in the pancreas. It is these which secrete the insulin which is so important for the digestion of sugars.

10 Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978

The colour is blue, its plexus, the sacrum or coccyx, the Muladhara chakra. The 6 is related with all the glands.

11 Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978

The number 6 has 72 gates on each side and 72 intermediates. The Initiate who traverses those 72 Gates is able to enter the world of the crude reality of life and the Sidere. The world of crude reality is the Ninth Sphere because 72 Gates = 7 + 2 = 9. If we understand what the 72 Gates are, if we know what the Great Arcanum is, we can enter the world of the crude reality of life and the “Mundo Sidere”, which is the astral world. It is very interesting that the number 6 has 72 Gates on each side and 72 intermediates; we find the explanation in the Star of King Solomon. 6 Masculine points. 6 Feminine indentations.

12 Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978

This star has in summary 12 rays, 6 masculine, 6 feminine which break down into the 12 constellations of the zodiac. Synthesised and summarised within the star are the mysteries of the Arcanum A.Z.F., the mysteries of Alchemy, the mysteries of sex this is the symbol of the Logos.

13 Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978

The 6 having been explained in a transcendental kabalistic manner, it will now be clear to you why one enters the world of crude reality whilst comprehension unfolds. It is due to this that people are horrified should they encounter the Arcanum A.Z.F. in a categorical and public manner. The teaching of the Ninth Sphere must be demonstrated by means of the Kabalah, so that people may know the truth.

14 Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978

The 72 Gates located side by side are within Jakin and Boaz, and in the centre of these two columns where the 72 intermediates are to be found, is the mystery of the two columns, the Unworked Stone.

15 Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978

The Unworked Stone must be chiselled until it is perfect. If we add the Holy 6 three times, it gives us 666 which is the number of the Beast. But if we add 6 + 6 + 6 = 18. The 18 is extremely tenebrous, it is the Twilight, hidden enemies, secret enemies.

16 Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978

The tenebrous attack terribly when one is working in the Great Work. It is not to their liking, and they seek a way to force the disciple from the Path, they attack him terribly. In number 6 we find erotic volition, ideas relating to adornment, reciprocity, fertility, lovingness.

17 Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978

3 passages

IISex is the greatest force which can liberate man

Six is sex, and these passages weigh its double edge: liberation through chastity or slavery through passion. Worked with love, the six of the Third Logos finds its expression in the nine.

The horns end in 6 points. Arcanum number 6 is sex, indicating that in sex is the liberation by means of chastity or the enslavement of man by passion. There is a difference from Arcanum number 1; the right hand is elevated, and the left points towards the Earth.

18 Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978

If we break the number 15 down kabalistically, we have 1 + 5 = 6. We already know that the six is in essence, sex, which means that sex is the greatest force which can liberate man, but is also the greatest force which may enslave him.

19 Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978

The number 3 corresponds to the Third Logos, the Holy Spirit. The Third Logos is in essence, the creative sexual force which expresses in all the universe. One works by means of number 6 which is related with sex. Here the man and woman is to be found; in the Tarot a man is shown before vice and virtue, before the Virgin and the whore. The sexual force must be worked with through the 6, or that is, with love this has an expression in 9 which equals the Ninth Sphere. Number 9 is the number of the Master. The three triads or horizontal lines represent the three worlds.

IIINine is man because man is the son of sex

Six repeated three times gives 666, the number of the beast and of the Great Harlot, which reduces to eighteen and then to nine. The six-winged beasts of the Apocalypse are also named as this arcanum.

5. Twenty-four is decomposed so: 2+4=6. Six three times, is the number of the beast. 6. The six is the number of the Great Whore.

21 Christ Will, 1959

“And the four beasts (of sexual alchemy) had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within, and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.” This is the tremendous sixth Arcanum of the Tarot.

22 The Aquarian Message, 1960

The science of the numbers show us that 4+2 = 6. The Qabbalists know that the sixth Arcanum of the tarot is the Lover. SIX is also the number of the Great Harlot which is repeated three times: 666.

23 The Aquarian Message, 1960 also in The Words He Uses

The number of the great beast is “666”. This is the number of man because that number reduces kabalistically thus: 6 + 6 + 6 = 18. Adding the total together we have the following: 1 + 8 = 9, that is, sex. Nine is man because man is the son of sex.

If we make a kabalistic addition of the figures of Arcanum 15, the Constellation of the Whale, we will have the following result: 1 + 5 = 6. Six in the Tarot is the Arcanum of the Lover; the man between virtue and passion. Learn to polarise ourselves wisely with Arcanum 6 and we will have overcome the terrible 15 of the Constellation of the Whale. Remember dear reader that in the middle of the chest you have a very special magnetic centre which captures the waves of light and glory which come from your Human Soul; She is Tiphereth, Arcanum 6 of the Tarot. Listen to Her, obey the commands which arise from Her. Act in accordance with those intimate impulses; work in the Forge of Cyclops when this is what She wishes. If you learn to obey you will not perish in the belly of the whale.

IThis Arcanum is expressed by the Seal of Solomon

The Star of Bethlehem, the Christmas Star and the Seal of Solomon are one sign: six masculine points, six feminine indentations, twelve rays crystallising in the zodiac. The God-Child is born under it only through work with the Arcanum A.Z.F.

The star of Bethlehem is the Seal of Solomon. The six points of the star are masculine. The six hollows that form between the points are feminine. In short, this star has twelve rays, six masculine, six feminine. Within them the mysteries of the Arcanum A.Z.F. (sexual magic) are summarised and synthesised.

The Seal of Solomon, the Christmas Star is the perfect symbol of the Central Sun (the Cosmic Christ, perfect multiple unity.) The God-Child can never be born in the heart of Man without the gleam and the life of the brilliant Christmas Star. One must work with the Arcanum A.Z.F. in order to be able to incarnate it.

33 Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978

Arcanum 6: The Lover. Man, between vice and virtue. This Arcanum is expressed by the Seal of Solomon. The six points of the Star of Solomon are masculine, and the six deep indents that exist between the points are feminine. So, this Star has twelve rays: six masculine and six feminine. By means of the Magnus Opus, those twelve rays crystallize in the twelve zodiacal constellations. In the Seal of Solomon is hidden the sexual genesis of the zodiac. The intimate relationship that exists between the zodiac and the invisible Central Sun is found in the Seal of Solomon. The Seal of Solomon is, truly, the authentic Christmas Star. Its two triangles, which unite and separate love, are the shuttles with which the loom of God is woven and unwoven. Each time that the initiate is going to receive a new Initiation or a new degree of Consciousness, the brilliant star then shines. In the Seal of Solomon is the supreme Affirmation and the supreme Negation; the terrible struggle between God and the Devil!

IIIts two triangles which unite or separate love

The two interlaced triangles are where the forces from heaven and from the earth meet, in the thymus and in the heart. Above stand Kether, Chokmah and Binah; below, their antithesis; and the soul, placed between them with the Tao Cross at the centre, must take the path of light or of darkness.

The forces that descend from heaven, on arriving at our “thymus gland”, meet the forces that ascend through our organism from the earth, and there, in the “thymus gland”, the two triangles of the superior and inferior forces interlace to form the seal of Solomon. EXERCISE Seated, imagine this marvelous encounter of the cosmic forces forming the seal of Solomon at the thymus gland and sunk in profound inner meditation, pray to thy InnerSelf to enter the sidereal temple of the principal star of Cancer, to bring thee the principal hierarchies of that constellation, so that they may awaken thy inner powers and give that gland a treatment. Vocalize the letter “A” one hour daily.

35 Zodiacal Course, 1951 also in Imagination, Inspiration, Intuition, The Science of Meditation, Zodiacal Course

The forces that descend and those that rise from the earth, in the form of a triangle, meet at the heart, mingle and become redeemed, forming the seal of Solomon. The heart is the sacred chamber of the blessed mother Goddess of the world. The ineffable princess of the Kundalini, “Hadit”, the winged serpent of the desert, reaches as far as there.

36 Zodiacal Course, 1951

The struggle between the two ternaries is in Arcanum number 6. This is the affirmation of the Internal Christ and the supreme negation of Satan. Arcanum number 6 is the struggle between the Spirit and the bestial. Number 6 represents the struggle between God and the Devil. This Arcanum is expressed in the Seal of Solomon. The upper triangle represents Kether, Chochmah and Binah; the resplendent Dragon of Wisdom (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). The lower triangle represents the three traitors, who form the antithesis of the divine triad. They are the demons of desire, of the mind, and of ill-will. From moment to moment they betray the Internal Christ, and are the bases of the ego (Judas, Caiaphas and Pilate). This lower triangle is the Black Dragon.

Its two triangles which unite or separate love are the shuttles with which one weaves or unravels the ineffable mystery of eternal life. Above, the Most Holy Eternity which activates as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Below, its counter part with the power which governs, the power which liberates, and the power which executes.”

38 Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978

In the centre of the two triangles of the Seal of Solomon one finds the Tao Cross, the sign of the infinite. Both signs are phallic (sexual). The Soul finds itself between the two triangles and has to decide upon one path or the other; that of Light, or that of Darkness; and the problem is absolutely sexual.

IIIAnother significance of the Seal of Solomon

A second reading of the Seal sets the Ruling, Deliberating and Executing Powers in the lower triangle. When the two lower powers rebel or are seized by the traitors, failure follows; the mediator is distinguished from the medium.

Another significance of the Seal of Solomon is the following: Above: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

The second meaning of the Seal he gives in passages 40 to 43.

If the Deliberating and Executing Powers rebel, they incite a rebellion against the Ruler, the Intimate, and the result is failure.

42 Esoteric Course of Kabbalah, 1969

The three traitors tend to seize control of the Powers that Deliberate and Execute. Bodhisattvas often receive messages from the superior worlds. Ignorant people mistake bodhisattvas for the mediums of spiritism.

43 Esoteric Course of Kabbalah, 1969 also in The Three Traitors

There exists the medium and the mediator. The medium is negative, the mediator is positive. The medium is the vehicle of the tempting serpent of Eden. The bodhisattva mediator is the vehicle of the bronze serpent that healed the Israelites in the desert. The Great Masters often dictate messages with the lips of their bodhisattvas. People do not understand this, and they mistake mediators for mere mediums of spiritism. People allow themselves to be manipulated by appearances.

IVThe three traitors who are within us

The lower triangle is the Black Dragon: the demons of desire, of the mind and of ill-will, named in Christian, Egyptian and Masonic symbolism and in the three unclean spirits like frogs. They betray the Internal Christ and form the base of the ego that must be dissolved.

The first is the Internal Christ of every man: the Shining Dragon of Wisdom: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. The second is the Black Dragon of the Three Heads: the “Psychological I”. And this “Psychological I” is made up of the Three Traitors which assassinated Hiram Abiff, who, at the same time, this Master, was the Superior Ternary of Man, his Internal God.

45 Logos, Mantram, Theurgy, 1959 also in The Three Traitors

The superior triangle in the Seal of Solomon represents the immortal, eternal triad. The inferior triangle represents the three traitors who are within us: 1: The Demon of Desire. 2: The Demon of the Mind. 3: The Demon of Ill-will.

The Bible cites these three traitors in the Apocalypse of Saint John, 16. 13-14: “And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.”

IIThe key is found in the Sacred Serpent

There are two serpents: the tempter of Eden and the copper serpent on the Tau. In the couple's sexual work it ascends and makes angels; spilling the semen in the Maithuna, the crime of the Nicolaitans, drives it down and makes demons, as the son of Krumm Heller shows.

SACRED PHALLIC SYMBOLS The key is found in the Sacred Serpent, in the cock who represents the IAO., the Verb, the word. There is the tempting serpent of Eden, the serpent of darkness which forms the horrible tail of Satan; and there is the serpent of copper which Moses entwined upon the Tau, that is to say, the Sexual Lingam; that which healed the Israelites in the desert; the dozing serpent, coiled three and a half times in the Church of Ephesus. The serpent must come out of its Church in the Muladhara Chakra and ascend through the spinal column in order to convert us into angels. If it descends towards the Atomic Infernos of Man we then become demons. Now you will understand why the serpent of the Caduceus is always double.

56 Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978 also in Angels and Demons, INRI and the Cross, The Kundabuffer

When the student spills the semen during his practices with the Arcanum A.Z.F., he commits the crime of the Nicolaitans who work with the Maithuna in the Ninth Sphere but spill the semen. They use that system in order to make the serpent descend, impelling it to the Atomic Infernos and forming the tail of Satan. This is how man becomes a demon.

57 Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978 also in Angels and Demons, The Kundabuffer

I remember Krumm Heller who taught White Tantrism, but his son taught the Black; practices of Maithuna with the spillage and loss of the seminal fluid. He became fascinated with that doctrine and became a demon, with a tail and horns on his forehead. Many were the students who were led astray by the son of Krumm Heller. He was someone who was sincerely mistaken, who went from here, saying that the Great Law took him.

IIIThe mysteries of the lingam-yoni are terribly divine

The Course reads the alchemical engraving of the macrocosmos and microcosmos: man and woman working with the sun and the moon in the lower triangle, against the black dragon. Never two men or two women; the lingam unites only with the yoni.

It is only in working with the Philosopher’s Stone inside of the sexual laboratory of the practical alchemist that one achieves the complete and positive unfolding of the serpent. The superior triangle is the center of the microcosmos and the macrocosmos of alchemy. The sign of the mercury of the secret philosophy—the ens seminis—cannot be missing from the center of the triangle. Man and woman must work with the sun and the moon, with the gold and the silver (sexual symbols), in order to consummate the Great Work. However, this work is very difficult, because the he-goat of Mendes, the black dragon, attempts to make the alchemist fall sexually. It is urgent to work with the four elements of Alchemy for the consummation of the Great Work.

59 Esoteric Course of Kabbalah, 1969

The alchemical macrocosmos is illuminated by light; this is the superior triangle in the Seal of Solomon. The alchemical microcosmos is in darkness, in the region where souls fight against the black dragon.

60 Esoteric Course of Kabbalah, 1969

It is precisely in the microcosmos, also represented by the inferior triangle, where we must accomplish all of the work in the laboratory of the alchemist. The wonderful engraving of the alchemical microcosmos and macrocosmos (see illustration at end of chapter, Basilica Chymica Philosophica) represents man and woman working with the sun (symbol of the phallus) and with the moon (symbol of the uterus).

61 Esoteric Course of Kabbalah, 1969

Neither two women nor two men appear in that medieval picture (such a crime against nature creates the foul vampire). The tenebrous ones justify their crimes against nature, and the Law punishes them, separating them from the superior triangle forever. They then tumble to the Abyss.

62 Esoteric Course of Kabbalah, 1969

The mysteries of the lingam-yoni are terribly divine and they cannot and must not be altered. The lingam may only unite with the yoni; that is the Law of Holy Alchemy.

IVThe Alchemical weddings mean the Perfect Matrimony

A nuptial march sounds for the sixth card. The lover steals the fire from the devil and reconquers the flaming sword; desire and its shadow are killed, the three Logoi are worked in order, and sex is not renounced before the Solar Bodies are made.

4. To enter the amphitheatre of Cosmic science, we need to steal the fire from the devil. 5. The lover should steal the light from the darkness.

66 Christ Will, 1959

The Alchemical weddings mean the Perfect Matrimony. The Alchemist must not only kill desire, but also even the very shadow itself of the horrible tree of desire. It will serve no purpose to renounce sex without previously having worked and fabricated the Solar Bodies and achieved the Second Birth; then one renounces it. First one must work with the Third Logos, the terrible Forge of Cyclops; then one works with the Second Logos, Hercules; and lastly with the First Logos. The error of monks and nuns is to renounce sex without having fabricated the Solar Bodies. The result is that they are to be found in limbo, dressed in rags. One must be dressed with the wedding garment in order to be able to enter the kingdom of the Heavens.

In the Eleusinian Mysteries the couples danced in order to mutually magnetize themselves. Nature must be imitated in everything; that is, the energy must be transmuted.

Many are the learned ignoramuses who do not know the rules and procedures of the Sixth Arcanum.

69 Pistis Sophia Unveiled, 1983

The task of the alchemist is to search for the ancient and hidden knowledge, and to consummate the Great Work in one’s sexual laboratory. The Great Work is difficult, it implies many years of experimentation, tremendous sacrifices and great difficulties. There exists a transmuting agent—the Philosopher’s Stone; a celestial influence—cosmic religiosity; diverse astral influences—esoteric astrology; and the influence of letters, numbers, correspondences, benevolent forces—Kabbalah.

70 Esoteric Course of Kabbalah, 1969

The sacred principles of Alchemy are: Unity, Pairs of Opposites (man–woman; active– passive), Trinity (active–passive–neutral). The Elementals are the last principle (fire, air, water, earth).

Part Five — The temple of the Sphinx

4 passages

IThe ordeal of the sanctuary is very terrible

In the temple of the Sphinx the laws of Nature are studied, and those few who pass the Test of the Sanctuary receive a ring bearing the Seal of Solomon, never to be touched with the left hand.

14. This chamber belongs to the sixth Arcanum of the Tarot: The Lovers.

72 Igneous Rose, 1954

In the temple of the Sphinx the book of the Laws of Nature is studied. This is followed by a test, called the Test of the Sanctuary. On passing it, the student is given a ring with the Seal of Solomon (which must never be touched with the left hand) and which gleams with great brilliance in the internal worlds.

73 Tarot and Kabbalah, 1978

The ordeal of the sanctuary is very terrible, and only those who pass it receive the ring or seal of Solomon where the positive and negative forces of universal magnetism are represented. The seal of Solomon reunites the work of the Great Work. The six points of the star are masculine, and the six deep entrances are feminine. Total: twelve rays, a perfect symbol of the central sun.

74 The Mayan Mysteries, 1977 also in The Law of Polarities

The College of the Elemental Sphinx from Nature resides within the very innermost parts of Nature. It is here where we are initiated and where the ‘Codex’ of the laws of Nature is presented to us. However, we must firstly pass a great ordeal, which in occultism is called “The Ordeal of the Sanctuary.” Very few have passed such a great ordeal. Those who pass it receive a ring of a ‘monadic’ substance on which the Seal of Solomon is engraved. The Gnostic Medic must learn to utilize his Elemental Instructor (Elemental Advocate) in order to cure ill people. The Gnostic Medic must learn to manipulate the elemental substances from Nature in order to cure.

IIHumanity is classified with the Seal of the Living God

The angel ascending from the east carries the seal of the living God, which is the Seal of Solomon. Servants of God and of Satan are each sealed on the forehead; the time to decide has run out, and most bear the mark of the Beast.

“And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God (the Seal of Solomon): and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea.

O darkness veiled by splendour! O master Who never keepest back the wages of Thy labourers! O silver whiteness! O golden splendour! O crown of living and melodious diamonds! IPrivileges and duties in the relations between the sexes

For divination the arcanum reads as Indecision and as "Victory, Good Luck", with its letter, its Sephirah, its axiom and its element of prediction. A six of diamonds, by way of example, reads as a love affair.

For example: a six of diamonds would be interpreted by combining the arcane VI with the element air, or “soul”, symbolized by the diamonds; this would say: “a love affair”, and so successively.

IIn works of High Magic a magic circle must be traced

The magic circle is left open where the Seal of Solomon interrupts it; medallions and rings of the Seal are made with the seven metals and used in invocation and with the elementals. A daily meditation on the Seal forming in the thymus, sexual magic with the woman, and vigilance close the booklet.

The Magical Circle serves as defense from the attacks of the Tenebrous ones. This Circle should not be completely closed since it will be interrupted in its trajectory by the Seal of Solomon.

About this booklet

His words only. 115 passages, gathered from 15 of his books; 50 of them from Tarot and Kabalah, 14 from the Esoteric Course of Kabbalah and 25 from the Manual of Practical Magic. Every passage carries its book and the year it was first printed wherever one is known; the one without a year is from a volume the library prints without one. Nothing has been paraphrased, joined or improved, except 15 scanner slips mended where the printed page plainly reads otherwise (a word split in two, a misread word or name in the Manual’s Latin and its angels, and the next chapter’s number run onto the last line of the consulting card).

His chapters on this card. He gives the sixth Arcanum four chapters in Tarot and Kabbalah (the card and Indecision in chapter 6; the Seal of Solomon, the three traitors, the sacred phallic symbols and the Seal of the Living God in chapter 28; the number six in chapter 75; the consulting card in chapter 92), a chapter in the Esoteric Course of Kabbalah, “Arcanum VI”, and a chapter of numbered verses in the Manual of Practical Magic, “(VAU) THE LOVER”, on High Magic. Where the Course says what Tarot and Kabalah says, Tarot and Kabbalah is printed; where it says more, the Course is printed. The four closing lines of chapter 28 (Synthesis) repeat the Manual’s verses 3 to 7 word for word, and are printed once, from the Manual.

Shared with other booklets. 46 of the 115 passages also stand in another booklet, and each is marked “also in” where it stands: 9 in Manual of Practical Magic, 8 in The Three Traitors, and 32 in other works. 69 are printed here alone.

No sentence of his is cut in half. Each range was extended until his sentence closed; 26 passages run over more than one paragraph, and 13 were set aside because the same teaching stands in another passage here. His sub-headings (Sacred Phallic Symbols, the four Exorcisms, the Magical Squares …) stand at the head of the passage they introduce.

No editor’s notes were owed. The doctrine check was run over every passage and every line of ours. Where he speaks of the serpent rising with this card, it is in the work of the couple, the Arcanum A.Z.F.; and he says that renouncing sex serves no purpose before the Solar Bodies are made.

Gathered and checked by the editor. The sixth booklet of The Major Arcana, one for each of the twenty-two.
